vote 2024 on this super Tuesday news 13's Gracie matis is live at TC Robertson High School one hour before polls finally open Gracie take us through the key information so that folks are ready to vote hey Charles yeah you got it we're going to do that in just a second I want to let you know the election officials and those poll workers uh here at TC Robertson already showing up uh to get this poll ready for voters uh it's going to be a long day for them going until around 7:30 tonight possibly l
ater than that uh so take a look at your screen we do want you to know about first the voter ID law it's a big change this year uh voters in North Carolina will need a form of ID to vote that can be a driver's license a passport or a North Carolina issued photo ID card among many other forms of ID but if you don't have one you can can fill out an exception form at the polling place and those officials that I just told you about well they're going to assist you with that exceptions range from a l
ack of transportation to a lost ID to a disability or uh illness and unlike early voting you must go to your assigned polling place and that can be found at the State Board of Elections website bunkham County alone is made up of 80 precincts uh so you want to make sure that you're finding the correct location for your address there now results will be coming in after those polls close you can stay up to date with those election results at wls.com we also want to tell you if you're planning on vo
ting tonight after work make sure that you're in line by 7:30 at the very latest state law allowing anyone in line at 7:30 to cast their vote the busiest times will typically be in the mornings and just before the polls close uh so voters can avoid those longer Lines by voting at off peak times nearly 2, 600 polling places will be open Statewide this morning with people ready to vote uh vote excuse me in the bunkham County Board of Elections has voter information and sample ballots posted online
