look shoot she doesn't [Music] know tense moments captured at the Fort Worth Zoo show Elmo the zoo's 34-year-old silverback gorilla barreling toward zookeepers video posted to TiK ToK by Ben White an ex Zoo security officer I was the the first responding officer the video is months old so it was taken on October 20th but white just posted it Thursday night I was actually just going through my camera roll and saw that I had it in a matter of hours it's been viewed more than 21 million times it's
about 2 minutes of interaction between the keepers and the animal and it took us about that long for a response in the video you'll see the first keeper throwing a bucket and then running inside uh she'll keep the door open for a little bit kind of cracks you'll also see her on our radio radioing us radioing other Keepers then things come for a while get the kids away and then you see Elmo run around and you see the second zookeeper she stes to distract him hides behind a tree plays like a reall
y fun game of hide-and seek and then runs inside after throwing the bucket and then at the end of the video you see the gorilla actually with the bucket like hey you forgot the bucket throughout you can hear the fear from those visiting the zoo as they make calls for help and even pray oh my gosh thank you ultimately no one was hurt we made sure that the animal was secured and then the Keepers were okay the zoo sent this statement about what went wrong that day saying in part due to keeper error
staff entered the yard unaware that the silver back was still in its habitat and say the video is proof the zookeeper's knowledge and expertise helped them safely navigate this scary situation oh my gosh God help her God help her God help her in Fort God help her I'm Janelle Fort God help her everyone was okay and tonight the security guard no longer works at the Fort Worth Zoo but told us he only left because of the hours it had nothing to do with what happened that day

@VCMIII

Still safer than walking down the street at night in Philadelphia.

@michaela8802

That gorilla had absolutely no interest in harming either of those zookeepers. If it did, this would’ve been a totally different story.

@akrakenreleased

Just play the video. We don't need you talking over it.

@regulusmine2336

Id just give Elmo a big hug. Big cute feller.

@MySkinnydip

The zoo just had a successful c-section bringing Elmo’s daughter safely into the world!

@chestyvulva

Elmo is a sweetheart, guys! Lucky zookeepers! ❤

@michaeljenkins5463

My chihuahua has a bigger backyard than that enclosure

That’s why you throw the food in there…

@tamask

As a gorilla, it was just a prank!

@SeanandChristina7376

"...that the gorilla was still in it's habitat...."🤔 Seems like it's NOT in it's 'habitat at all' to me. Aside, I appreciate the care, protection, and whatnot it likely receives, but it ain't supposed to be there in the 1st place.

@AL-pu7ux

Zoo made sure to blame the keepers in their first words! Classy.

@shauzdaniels

My fout hurts

@mudwiser1391

Zoo workers always think they are ‘at one with the animals’ well these gorillas will spread a human to pieces in seconds. Their strength is out of this world, even a little chimp has the power to destroy a human. With their violent streaks, they are very human like indeed.

@SC-vw1nx

No idea why gorilla is prison ! Let him free
