as wrong Anthony was convicted immediately for the first-degree murder of his family 44-year-old Anthony ruthlessly killed his 42-year-old Megan Todd and their three children 13-year-old Alec 11-year-old Tyler and 4-year-old Zoe hear me out Anthony and Megan Tod and their children Alex Tyler and Zoe were reported missing by their family and the police began a search party for them only to find the family inside their home in a gated Disney community in Florida but only one of them had a breathin
g heart others had rotting corpses that startled the police not only this but the chilling Discovery caught the whole nation's attention and soon the whole of America was invested in the case of Anthony tot Anthony was going through a tough time and his mental health had seen better days Anthony and his company Performance Edge Sports LLC were hit with three lawsuits in the past year according to court records he settled the first just days before the alleged murders but had not settled two othe
rs in all three cases he had accepted investor funding for his business and then defaulted his payments Plus in addition to the $278,900 Judgment he also owed $63,500 ,200 in two other cases all these lawsuits were really getting to his head and disrupting his home life at a big level I'm talking constant fights with his wife and him lashing out on his children now it's unclear why Anthony decided to pay off the largest judgment but not the $5,199 in rent to avoid being evicted from the family's
Florida home the family's neighbor hadn't seen them since mid December while their family members hadn't heard from them since Jan January 6th and while everyone was thinking the family was enjoying quality time at Disney little did anyone know they were set to meet a much worse fate cops were called to the tot's rented home on reserved place in Celebration by a concerned local and they opened doors to Horus neighbors earlier told the media how they saw armed police order Anthony out of the fam
ily home before leading him away in handcuffs they were all taken down by surprise because no one had any idea what was going on inside the vacation home Marcelo Rodriguez a neighbor said he saw authorities approach the home in question with guns drawn I saw a lot of police with guns in their hands saying open the door open the door and a few minutes later I saw the guy on the porch with a handcuff and I said something bad happened over there the family had just moved to the Sunshine State from
Colchester Connecticut but their time in Florida was short-lived reports showed that Anthony's Family had been killed for weeks and he did the dirty work on December 29th which was well before the bodies were found so one can only imagine how bad things were inside the house the family members were discovered dead in beds throughout the house Anthony took their life away by stabbing them in their stomachs and smothering them to death with crucifixes gripped in their hands Zoey Todd had decompose
d to the point that authorities couldn't even find her until they examined Megan's corpse and saw Zoe's body beneath her feet the poor girl was only four so there wasn't much left of her by the time the bodies were discovered Anthony drugged his kids with badril and himself also consumed a large amount of the substance in attempts of suicide or at least that's what he said the trial went on and made many rounds on the internet and it was all mainly because of the reasons Todd gave for brutally m
urdering his family Anthony claimed that he couldn't recall the events of the murders and also testified that his initial confession had been made under duress the father of the deceased couldn't remember a single detail of killing his children in Cold Blood and he looked least bothered by what he had done yep there was no remorse the murdered initially denied all claims but with all the evidence pointing towards him he did eventually confess to the murders he also told the story about returning
to the family home to look for a missing silver Mickey Mouse necklace belonging to his daughter Zoe but that didn't seem like the truth because Anthony didn't go to his floor at home by choice but because he had nowhere else to go in 20 22 Anthony tot was sentenced to life in prison without the possibility of parole and the trial finally came to rest but that's not the end of it because in a landmark move one year of additional incarceration was added to his sentence for animal cruelty charges
