Man, this is It is Is it sexy or is it sexy? This is the best Chevelle I've seen in my whole life And it may be the coolest looking car I've seen, drag racing style Like It goes with the pony tail Are we changing your name now? To what? The Chevelle? Chevelle So this is something that was learned, right? Like, the larger the stroke And I bet its a big stroke engine Its just not a huge piston The larger the stroke The motor naturally brings everything down on the RPM range Right? So she leaves th
e line on its own better And recovers from the gear-shifting better She was waiting when we cranked it You can see She was literally staving till she died Right We had way less fuel pressure then before And there is a difference between the tunes that we have More likely they compensated that back in the shop So we had just to put some fuel back in Started working well And I believe The pump enrichment that we did Plus, whatever the curve we did She will rev really nice, and comes back to idle s
traight up Sometimes we have too much fuel She would free rev You shut off the throttle She kind off bogs down and comes back up That’s too much fuel Right now she seems to be really good Lets give it a second Felipe You have your stuff? So we are going to give her a second to kind of Smooth out the temperature across all the parts And then we are going to get ready And we are going to do the first dyno run First run on this thins is fairly simple 2-step Release the 2-step And shut off So, its n
ot even a 60 foot Just to make sure that the fuel pressure will raise As we want to All the injectors are working as the should There is nothing really weird with it And with this We can kind of extrapolate stuff And make sure that we are on the right direction On the tune Cameron is doing something really useful He is testing the time based feature That includes chips So, the unit can simulate a run And chips it And you make sure that your leaver is moving The outputs are correct Like that Main
feed You do a lap like this The car can catch on fire Push a head gasket Procharger cars, they vibrate like hell One recommendation Is a Higgins clamp So the Higgins, spin around and don't get loose If you don’t do a Higgins clamp Have a sharp Like a silver sharp And at least put it on And you can see if they moved But, pretty often Check all this Right? Pretty often Like, every lap So, at least we see this one It was not bad So I didn’t ask him to shut off, right You just tighten Crazy, right?
Crazy Big motor, makes 2000hp Not even trying Crazy, huh Wow, it did that? Didn’t even try I've got to drive this bitch? Hey, you want to jump on it? This is the log, you guys have just seen it So I'm going to try to space it like a run So that the scale looks right Right? As you can see Timing Right I run a plot Like an engine plot And a time based timing Right, so Until we figure this out How the motor wants to behave and stuff like that We are going to be doing this Just to make sure, right?
So, you see this small spike right here? Actually a valley, right? This is actually the plot taking a lot of timing out To keep the motor where we want to Right? So, that tells me that my plot is to high Or that I'm taking to much timing out of it Right, so Based on the power curve It looks more like a radial curve So a big tire Will require more power to go fast Right, so that The power right now, if you guys remember We can turn back on You can see right there Here, right here So it's pretty
flat going up hill There is a small drop Pretty flat up hill That’s more like a radial car curve On big tires, you are going to need to jump And then come here So At least, now we know That's what's happening So, we are going to feed timing back Cause we took a lot of timing out And move my plot up To see if I can make more power Right here where the motor is going Slowly up hill I’m going to try to flare higher So she is flaring at 75 I’m going to try to give at least 5 to 1750 Like 750 rpm's h
ere And go to 8000, 8200 Right So they can have something that is closer to what they are going to do power management Right After that As we were ramping up the power, she was good The shifting Actually happened Happened pretty early We can go a little higher Where is my gear? Right there Well, so the output was there 8400, that’s what I asked for But the shift actually happened You can see on the drive shaft right there You can see the drive shaft movement Do you have converter pressure? I don
't remember I'm not sure So, 80 8600 was the shift Drive shaft was 4800 You can see It kind of moves around when it shifts And it shifted again right here So, that was the 2,3 Right And then He shut-off right there Motor was 8600 So, 8600 High gear by 2.3 seconds That’s a little quick As we go up on the shift The converter is able to keep on it That gear is going to happen later It will show more power as well Right, because it's just blowing trough the converter Right But the converter is right
for this case It just needs RPM It just needs RPM to help the converter So We will do this for the next lap But everything seems to be working right Se is already within 10% of what she is going to make If you think about it She made 3000, she is going to make 3400 She is pretty close She is 12% down on power, that is it So Usually You need to be 4 off To do something wrong On a big motor The smaller motors, I think it's easier to do this Just because we get more anxious about getting a number
This thing, makes so much It's more about management Then actually making For sure, the regulator is pretty small Like, I took half a turn and I only lost I don’t know, 3 PSI of pressure or something I’m going to take a little more Drop this fuel pressure Drop it down a little Converter pressure, right here We can see the dump So, dump is on So it's dumping fluid You can see, the pressure goes down From 120 To 60 We leave the line And around 0.6 Full pressure on it Right And you can see when the
gear is shifting It changes the pressure Puts a lot of load on the converter when you change the gears So you can see, gear change, gear change Right, so Gear change, gear change Boost, lets see what she makes now 49 PSI 49 PSI of boost at 85 She may make 50 psi here If we shift a little higher, she may make 50 PSI So you can see my curve The launching time retard right there that we did Right So you can see this Launch Fuel enrichment I added fuel You guys can see right there We are trying to
be safe, right So, after 2 seconds I start fitting with fuel Right The motor did not change the pitch Crazy, huh By the time he shut-off It was like almost 4% The motor is in the same exact page Like, once she gets some temperature You can feed fuel Ain’t no big deal Remember what we spoke about cam sync? 147 I think we set-up 120 Ain’t no big deal, don’t have to worry about it Fuel duty cycle Just common knowledge Like, at the injectors 720 LB/H Big ProCharger motor They usually run close to 50
/50 So, we have 48/60 What I'm going to do We are going to check on the plugs They are taking them out for us We are going to see how it is And I'll assume its rich So, I'm going to take fuel mostly from my primary To try to get them more even on those numbers Right This is mostly a reference, you don’t have to do this I'm doing this because it's an easier reference for me Like, when I deal with them Big ProChargers, Noonan AJ, does not matter They are around 50/50 on those injectors So it helps
you try to understand if everything is OK Right? If their numbers are completely skewed, something's wrong. Right, fuel pressure is wrong The injector is clogged You don't know, right So, that’s a pretty good one Let's see We should have estimated power Let's see what she is making Look at that Estimated power 3712 hp 3600, this way, I'm ramping the fuel Before, lets see 3600 We have 2 approaches now that we can do Number 1, we know she is rich Right, and she is rich in about 10% If we take 10%
out More likely the motor will make about 3300 And this will drop 10% at about 3300 So, I think this is actually fairly accurate We have fuel for 3600 The motor does not want to So she makes 3000 Right, so I bet this is fairly close To actually what we need to have You would make, I you were using the fuel in the right way Right, so As we take fuel away This number is going to go down actually Right But the dyno numbers will go up They will start to get close to matching And also, the spark plu
gs tell us that we are close on the tune up We may need to fine adjust this And then we have a good baseline for the car itself Man, I like the on-board, you can see 48 were the grains 49, 48 Air density is actually pretty good About 800-700 feet But as you can see The car effects the on-board Right, so it goes from 750 to 930 We have 100 feet movement Just because it's close to the car So fumes Temperature and stuff like that Affects the reading of the on-board weather station That’s why, usual
ly when you have a weather station Put it on top of your trailer Away from the generator Trying to get as much fresh air as you can This thing is inside a building Right, so it will get polluted From what is going on But But the last, 150 is not bad if you think about it You know So, you have that on the data And, more likely down the track One gets so bad Because you are outside Right, so Personally, I think it's a really cool idea to have an on-board weather station Then, 1 and 2 happened at 8
678 OK, so we know that we can keep going up a little Right That 2,3 was 8804 We are getting really close Right And you can even see that it got to that timing wall that we had It dropped our timing, like a bunch So I'm going to try to move that a little up So that this does not happen Cause you can see clearly that the motor went back and up When you took a lot of timing out So I'm going to move it a little up So that I can move it a little up 2 or 3 shifts My target is 89 Right, at least for n
ow And my 1 and 2 is also in 9 When I was in 8700, so I'm going to give I don't want to hit on the nail Because they have a small window If we miss it, it may hurt something So Instead of giving 200 here To go to 89 I'm going to give it 150 or so Instead of giving 100 I'm going to give it 75 Right And see if it can be 89/89 Or really close to it She made 49,5 PSI So, I bet she is going to do 52+ PSI down the track Or something like that Took some fuel out And now we have EGT's working And they w
ill tell the truth of how we are handling the motor EGT's are really useful to see what we are doing Man EGT's are flat Right They are not even at 1100 So, that tells me that we have been real easy to it Really easy So, blown motors They usually go to 1150 to 1250 on average When you have them right It can be hot, because the timing is too low Or it can be hot because it's too lean Both will make the temperature go up But, right now the temperature is down Its just down So, that tells me that th
e timing is not far off Because otherwise it would be hot But the fuel more likely There is a ton of fuel still on the motor I dropped some fuel in the primary, went up a bit on the secondary Revved a little higher, so It may change something But its almost as a need to remove 5% to 7% on the primary And give a couple of percent on the secondary And she will be pretty close But, like right now I don’t know exactly how much power she made But just by looking at the graph I’m so used to that So I
kind of know where it goes So, that was about 3200 on that run Right And if you see Look at the estimated power, it went down Lets say its 3400 now Right So, they are getting to the same point So, I bet that’s pretty much what we have right now It needs a little fuel out She is going to make 3300 and its going to show 3300 You know And that’s fairly close I take timing away And add fuel out of the back And you can see right here The power trying to go up Because it actually likes more fuel Right
, I'm just feeding it with fuel Right So, its not that its making this power It's just getting rich Before, earlier in the run Just like 34 something Right, so we are getting really close Right This always used Now We are going to take a look at the plugs And see why everything is so good And this thing is 10% away from what she can make actually I’m going to check with him, what does he want to do You know, we can do one more maybe Make sure shifting is OK, stuff like that But that is pretty mu
ch it Don’t need to keep beating on it Now its going to be power management Take it to the track Make sure the chassis work And see how fast can we go And stuff like that But everything is working as it should Even the EGT's we got it back So that is useful Are we changing your name now? To what? Chevelle? To Chevelle It would not stick if we did No it wouldn't Yeah It wouldn't To all of the cars to get named after And its a dam Monza What are the odds? I mean, I guess that is better then Yes Ye
s Yes, for sure You know that Mongoose, that is all Shawn Ellington fault Really? Was it him? Yes, because one night we were at Sonic OK Way back before street Outlaws We were going street racing And Shawn had been at home watching the MMA fights all night He came up rolling into Sonic in the death trap, his Mustang About half lit And he looked at me and could not remember my name We was like Monza That’s how it started That’s where it all started No way So it's all his fault Man, it happens Man
, my buddy Murder Nova Murder Nova Oh boy He gets a cool name like Murder Nova and I get stuck with Monza Man, I like it, do you know what is the funniest thing? We have a car back in Brazil that is a Monza It's name is nothing with this one Right, its like a European front wheel drive car So, people actually don’t like it They made a Corvair Monza too Yes, Yes A version of a Corvair Yes, Yes, Yes Lets think about Monza, the race track That’s a bad ass racetrack Yes OK, so we have those options
So,no we are not changing Monza to Chevelle Besides Man, this is Is it sexy? Or is it sexy? This is the best Chevelle I've seen in my whole life And it may be the coolest looking car that I have ever seen, Drag Racing style Like It goes with the pony tail I’m going to tell you This is out of the chart Like, when you cranked it up and drove it up here with this thing And stopped inside the shop Man, this thing is beautiful So, Cameron Johnson race cars Right, from Florida Cameron built the car Ma
n, they did an amazing job on this thing Is a Yeah, I mean Everybody that touched this car Done an amazing job Yes When it comes to, Raleigh carpenter painted it I mean, the paint job is phenomenal Phenomenal Yes He put the Vinyl top on it Its perfect, it's from factory Right Like, its crazy The car has the factory door handles in that wow Yeah The way Its like a fridge Like we say, right? Yeah You know, perfect Perfect Anybody that knows the true 1970 Chevelle How good the doors close on them S
olid This feels the same way It's got carbon fiber doors Man, that’s crazy It was an amazing job, so Area 51, Omar, they did the wiring Yes, Omar wired it Proline MH7 Course, the baddest of the bad, it's all FuelTech Marty Merle transmission housing Uhum 10 inch gear Billet center section Mark Micke's tranny converter And its all the goodies ProCharger ProCharger 140-1 F4 F4 140-1 There is nothing that I can't think of that we could have done any better Got the best of everything on it Yeah, bei
ng honest I could not find it You know, we were looking through this thing So It was pretty cool Cause my buddy here messaged me Can we do a dyno Man, actually I've got a pretty cool opening We are doing a FTeducation class Our training this week And I told him We have a training, if you don’t mind Cause we are going to be talking about it And showing to people I don’t mind, its fine to me It was really cool When I told everyone on Monday Nobody knew it The people that come to the training We do
n’t tell before hand, so Monday we were doing the presentation and everything We got a surprise I don't know if you guys heard Monza has a new car The Chevelle People already knew about it You know They were like Yes, he is coming What? Everyone was excited about it Because, like I have not seen it in person It was the first time I’ve seen it in photos, I mean Its amazing In person it is even better Like The inner webs is mad Man Because we ain’t racing this car Man, I'm mad, I'm mad at you, but
Like, you literally have The best of the best You know Big tire Still roof and quarter style car Type of car, you know The best engine that you can get with a ProCharger The best ProCharger you can have The best transmission you can have You know The chassis we know Cameron does Amazing vehicle So, like I guarantee you, this thing hits the strip It's going to be as fast as hell And its just like sitting Right 10 months, it was sat OK, 10 months Man 10 months is gone Its time to be born Right? I
’ve been trying to make them drop a little bit more What are we doing What are we doing now? Its 2024 bud We are going to go race it now I mean This is the first step right here You are getting all this right Yes This, we have never ran a Hemi We never ran a ProCharger So, I told you when we got here You are going to have to school us on this As it goes So, let me get this straight You were a nitrous guy back in the day And you went to turbos That’s what happened Then we went for 481x twin-turbo
OK And you spent a pretty good time like this And this is the first time Hemi and Supercharger Yes OK So, we have pretty much tried everything Screw-blower Its a screw blower next If I keep watching you with the numbers that you have been running Now, I don't ever see us running the screw blower Because I’m getting pretty old This one will last me till I've had my fair share of racing I might put him on Nah, I was about to say Put the young gun there Right? Put him in it We put him in it We put
him in it, don’t worry You and him are about the same size You see that I can shakedown for you if you don’t want to It works I shake it down for you When she running straight, go ahead That works But we wanted to bring it here I knew, if I brought it here and let you dyno it Its right I stood there and I was not even nervous Any where else I would have been nervous Well, I know that you are on the computer Everything worked pretty well Right The whole team worked really well So It was actually
a really good experience for us as well Because, being able to do this on a class Telling people This is what we are going to do How we do it So that people can understand better Some people have only the idea Oh, its just a dyno Like, honestly The dyno is the smallest of the tools that we have inside the building You know And being able to check in person What you have on the car How you did everything How things are wired How thing are plumbed It's pretty priceless to make sure that the car w
orks By the end of all that check up To be able to actually run it Put power through it And honestly, id rather have a race track But, like, its Its raining right now If we had a race track, we would not be doing this We would have to postpone to a different day You know It just seems like there is less wear and tear on the car To come here and get the bugs out of it Before we go beat on it at the racetrack Yeah, for sure I think you are money ahead to do this 100% 100% Not only that But it make
s your confidence level higher When you show up to the racetrack and you are fixing it to start testing it Yeah Tune wise, you know you are good I told you, like right now The way that we did this thing You can go to the track and send it If she goes straight, keep going Go to the finish line, first rip We already did 60 foot We already did 330, here Right So, power train and drive train wise Its ready to go Right Now its chassis wise And if your setup works well You kind of know where its going
to go Regarding rear and pre-loads and stuff She goes straight, you keep going bud Until you pull the parachutes That’s it We are ready We are excited So, well Well worth the long drive from home to here And the food was phenomenal You all need to take the class for the food Because the food was good But the class was great Because we got to stand here And learn a bunch Yes Watching you to Yes Yes That made it a whole lot better For me, for sure I don’t hardly know You know, Brendon does it all
Yes For me to stand here And watch you explain how this and that works Was a lot better for me Perfect It's good to have that idea, right? This, oh It does that, OK, cool It makes it easier when you go on a race I’ve been to one of your schools when you came to Oklahoma city Yes, Yes, I remember But still Every time I watch you, I pick a little bit more up Its knowledge for me Yes, for sure Well So, its raining out there We finished with this thing Class is still going The guys are inside on th
e class room right there And I really hope that you are not lying to me And you put this thing on the race track man Its going to the race track Everyone wants to see this running Yes, we may call you You may come help us I'm going to be on the speed dial Hey, Luis, what am I doing here Press this button Put it to the floor We are going to put you on Team Viewer Help us, help Good stuff, good stuff Well Thank you for coming, stopping by Thanks for having us I appreciate your time And good luck R
ight, the car deserves to be at the track It's not like a show piece Besides being like a show car It is, it's amazing We are going to sting rubber all over you Hell yeah Hell yeah You need to honor it You know We are going to get it out and we are going to race it this year We are going to make everyone that helped us with it proud Perfect
