[Music] [Music] lights in space again again once again we are back I'm your host Sam and I'm lesie yes you are and we're bringing you another episode you guys in space in space this podcast is truly going from a horror podcast to a science Fiction podcast at least this season I thought it was going to take us maybe until season 10 for us to go to space this hard think just because I feel like every franchise that's the number it's the 10th but no we're starting early we started early I don't kno
w if that's a good thing or a bad thing that's a good sign or a bad sign all you know what who's to say who will say where the roll it leads us to space only space yeah um well but yeah wow we are really nailing the horror sci-fi genre sub genre in this season and love it it continued this week it continued this week with with what aliens from 1986 directed by James Cameron written by James Cameron story written by David Giller and Walter Hill based on characters created by Dan oanon and and Ron
ald shets oh 57 years after surviving an apocalyptic attack aboard her space vessel by merciless space creatures officer Ripley awakens from her hypersleep and tries to warn everyone who will listen to her about the Predators and did they listen to her no no and did they survive no no she did classic of Ripley's always coming back she's bouncing back cuz she's the abely the smart one she's the brains the bronze the glory she's the whole package rip Ellen Ripley the full package the full package
yeah so we are dealing with a sequel this is a sequel that uh we just watched sequel of alien from 1979 um which we watched on our 31 days of horror movies uh back in 2021 um ah good time Good Times wild times wild times wild times wow uh but now we're watching aliens the followup to alien um which is cool uh it's a it's cool to see you know the inspiration taken from the first one um and the story brought over to a second one especially because we have a different writer and director um that to
ok over the franchise from Ridley Scott um so though it there's definitely similarities to the first one we've got a whole new filmmaker um and their uh Vision coming in here which definitely affects wow how the movie is made I mean James Cameron obviously you know Terminator and Avatar and the abyss and Titanic we're talking about a filmmaker that likes the big set pieces the explosions the multi million dollars into the films MH damn yeah which is kind of cool because the first one we're deali
ng with definitely a smaller uh budget and definitely a smaller story because we're only taking place really on one ship and it's kind of like a like a haunted house in space everyone's trapped in this one location and trying to avoid the monster the one alien that we have running around and this Things become much bigger more characters bigger set pieces more aliens um um so it's definitely a a level up from the first one oh yeah yeah absolutely all right should we get into it let's do it I tho
ught maybe this time we can start off with uh the meat cuz we're just talking about Ripley um and let's talk about uh let's talk about this movie's actually talking about first let's change it up a little bit um this movie and it's in the description too has a lot to do with gaslighting a lot of gas lighting going on of Ripley in this movie we have been here for 3 and 1 half hours now how many different ways do you want me to tell the same story The analysis team which went over the Lifeboat cen
timeter by centimeter found no physical evidence of the creature you described good that's because I blew it out of the goddamn airlock thank you that will be all God damn it that's not all because if one of those things gets down here then that will be old and all this this [ __ ] that you think is so important you can just is all that goodbye it's because I think they have ulterior motives they do know about this creature later in the film we do realize that Burke and this company that funds a
ll this stuff they do know about the creature and just like in the first one they want to get one of those specimens back to uh their Planet their space station so they can experiment on it and ultimately use it as a weapon weaponize it what is America [ __ ] known for we exactly we just want to get everything and weaponize it mhm and so this movie definitely we're talking about the dangers of colonialization and the dangers of capitalism too because we have humans going to these planets and aft
er Ripley wakes up she realizes that in the 57 years that she's been asleep they have sent humans back to that planet there have been people there for over 20 years years and they never complained about any hostile organism what do you mean what people Planet Engineers they go in set up these big atmosphere processes to make the air breathable takes decades it's what we call a shake and bake Colony this company is trying to capitalize on these planets and they're trying to set up these these lit
tle colonies fast so they can send people there and presumably get more resources from there get people working over there um which is going back to this idea of capitalism and colonialism you know expanding into places that you don't even necessarily understand but you know that there's a possibility that there's a dollar sign there so and I think with that as well you can't start a new Colony without mothers so this also speaks heavily into motherhood and how much your or how you will extend t
o the furthest to protect you know your children although uh little n is not her actual birth daughter she is a human that needs you know protection and she's willing to step up and and and be there for her and kind of live the mom like the motherhood that she wasn't able to do with her actual daughter do you have any news about my daughter well we did come up with some information Amanda Ripley McLaren married name I guess age 66 and that was at the time of her death I promised her that I'd be
home for her birthday the alien is also doing that too like yes it's the way that they live is very violent but the alien's just doing what it needs to do to you know colon ice and uh further their own species and when her youngans are you know in trouble she's going to do whatever it [ __ ] takes for her to beat whoever it is ass get away from her you [ __ ] there's multiple things that she's facing in this movie the trauma from the first movie going back to the planet returning to the planet f
acing that same creature that same species that depleted completely destroyed her crew and traumatized her this returning to the planet to face that trauma and also at the same time taking n this orphaned girl under her Wing to face the trauma of losing her daughter outliving her daughter while she was in hypersleep so this return Journey for Ripley is kind of about facing those things that she hasn't faced yet which I like that this second movie takes that perspective because the first movie is
obviously a lot about all the things surviving and all the things that happened to Ripley and all the horrible things that she has to go through to just survive but then the second movie follows up on that and she takes what she learned from the first movie and applies it to then going back and facing the demons that were created from the first one yeah and she's stronger in the second one too she is I don't know how you managed to stay alive but you're one Brave kid Rebecca my name's n nobody
call me Rebecca except my brother n also just that sense of protecting somebody like she couldn't she couldn't protect her daughter from the circumstances so that makes her very feel very powerless but at least in this situation she was able to take the power and save n which was her kind of surrogate daughter so she was able to take that power back for herself and realize that she can do that um I think that's a part of motherhood as well again I'm not a mom but um you know like there is the se
nse of when you're preparing to you know have a child or at least I hope people ask themselves these questions but like when you are getting ready to have a child like what are the things that you're going to teach them uh what are things that you've learned from your you know um childhood that your parents had done to you that you don't want to repeat and stuff like that so it is a part of healing your own traumas you shouldn't use your children as like therapy but you know like there is uh it
it kind of it there is a connection a little bit of just like you getting what you've learned um and applying it to the child and hoping that it's enough to kind of teach them good things um that you weren't able to receive and protect them from the things that you've gone through mhm um especially cuz n kept saying can I dream yes honey I think we both can and I mean that's just a big ass metaphor of just being like are we safe yeah are we safe to live our life the way we want yeah because n ha
s had to be in such a survival mode too like she sees that she I think can um relate to that especially with her experiences from the first one so she sees herself in n as well as a person who has had to survive just like she had to in the first one how do I then protect this little girl from turning out like me um while still instilling the important aspects that she has gained from her experience like being a strong person and facing your fears AKA facing the alien again so yeah it's it's mult
i-tiered and I think coming back to what I first brought up which is like this gaslighting that's going on that also kind of applies to motherhood as well because there's maybe this impostor syndrome that you feel when you become a mother or become a parent in general of like I I'm not strong enough I'm not strong enough to do this why like all the all the signs around me are telling me that I can't do this um or you go the oh sorry I was going to say something that kept coming up was Burke kept
calling Ripley kiddo I think you're damn lucky to be alive kiddo you could be floating out there forever come on that's a second chance kiddo and I think personally for you it would be the best thing in the world to get out there and face this thing he's making her feel like she doesn't know [ __ ] when it comes to everything so that is definitely a shared experience I think when people become parents we don't know [ __ ] like who are we to be parents and raise a child it's our first time you k
now like even even if you have multiple children that's still a new experience there that child is not going to be the the same as the first One MH or the second one or whatever mhm and on the flipside as well we're we're getting someone like Ripley who has trauma and is trying to grow and if we're also comparing it to the alien I mean it regardless it's a it's a species it's an alien whatever but like that alien is doing everything possible to protect her young she don't care and that's also ha
rmful if you you know like imagine if Ripley was just like [ __ ] everything [ __ ] everyone and didn't want to protect anyone and just bounced out with her like with the child yeah and [ __ ] everyone over like no that's not kind either um so there's growth that happens and it it like you said it is it is a very delicate thing to raise children and that's why not everybody should have them Fair heal go to therapy first heal heal I heal you [Applause] resurrect all right um should we get to the
Cook let's go to the Cook all right [Laughter] cool that was unhinged a little bit yeah that was very unhinged very unhinged transition um the cook I mean we're seeing a lot of different ways for them to you know convey these um ideas that we just talked about um and I liked this small moment but it goes to the gaslighting that we're talking about there's this moment when Ripley and N are together and Ripley is putting n to bed well I bet Casey doesn't have scary dreams let's take a look no noth
ing bad in there riple she doesn't have bedrooms because she's just a piece of plastic right I'm sorry n don't treat me like a kid essentially which is exactly how Burke and the rest of the company were treating Ripley when she came back and so I think that moment is a reminder for Ripley of like don't [ __ ] her don't Don't Treat Her Like She's dumber than she actually is just like they did that to you give her the respect of being honest with her and like of like realizing how intelligent this
child is and and that this child knows what's going on I just love that moment because Ripley realized that she was kind of treating her like a child her like a child when she shouldn't because there is a thing that happens unfortunately unfortunately that when someone goes through trauma and has develop PTSD it makes you grow like if you're a child it makes you grow up faster and this child has survived for a while by herself so yes she is aware of things that a typical child you know like may
be that would work for a child back on Earth and be like yeah but you know Ripley is like yeah no it's plastic well and I think also too it makes Ripley realize how similar n is to her as well because they pretty much went through the same thing being alone surviving amongst these aliens so that moment too is like holy [ __ ] like this girl this little girl and I have a lot more in common than I realized and people should not take us for granted people shouldn't underestimate us they tied these
two characters together so simply um and it seemed very natural too I I I just loved that that cook of this kind of like underestimating these women characters and them realizing that and then they then can Elevate each other um because they realize that they are up against it and so like yeah the script in that sense highlighted a lot between I love their their characters and their lines um from the gecko I just I I blurred it out I was just like I love Ripley I love her character growth I love
how she's played um she is not made to be a weak helpless woman oh my gosh she needed no man definitely she started flirting with hick and I was just like it's still after the second watch I'm just like where' this come from it's a little out of nowhere you started this show me everything I can handle myself yeah I noticed yeah so like that romance and it's slight it's not like in your face at all they're just doing cute little things of like hick giving her a tracking device it's a locator the
n I can find you anywhere in the complex on this thanks doesn't mean we're engaged or anything all right what's next okay cute and then she immediately gives it to the little girl yeah little girl and and he's like you know showing her how to use the weapons he's giving her that respect of like knowing that she can handle this weapon and showing her how to use it she's like show me everything and he's like okay I will the aliens kidnapped the little girl she's alive she's alive all right I belie
ve you she's alive we've got to go now I believe you I believe you that is such a [ __ ] important statement and especially in a movie when we're talking about gaslighting and the other men and this company not believing Ripley for someone to say that it's got to be that much more meaningful like okay we're observing the uh uh the situation um I'm hearing you let's do something about this let's not be stuck so then that way we are not wasting more time and let's go save her he picked her up lite
rally picked her up in that moment and supported her emotionally then later he gets shot or he gets injured yeah like he get burned she literally picks him up and supports him through the rest of the movie it's a great like relationship that they have it's balanced I support them hick and Ripley yeah and all these things like they're just visual we're not talking about I support you and you support me there these are visual things that are going on that have been written into the script so to me
I'm like damn they're really you know subtly cooking these ideas of a supportive couple and like um not gaslighting each other very subtly and it's great see you Hicks Dwayne it's Dwayne Ellen there was another visual moment that I clocked and I feel like there's probably more of these um there was a moment after they discovered one of the face huggers and then it crossfaded to Ripley's hand which to me was a visual indication of like how different are we from the aliens which we did kind of ta
lk about this idea of motherhood and this idea of colonization they're just trying to figure out how to survive and colonize these planets just like the humans but the difference is which there was a line about this you know Burke I don't know which species is worse you don't see them [ __ ] each other over for a goddamn percentage he figured that he could get an alien back through quarantine if one of us was impregnated whatever you call it I think at the beginning of this movie the characters
and the audience would like to think oh the humans are so much more civilized than these aliens but when it comes down to it you realize [ __ ] the humans might be a little more Sinister than some of these aliens because they're working off of personal gain also wouldn't you want to protect more of a person that looks like you isn't that what you know we creatures tend to do a lot of the time I think that yes animals would would do that and we see that with the aliens but Burke the representatio
n of the company did not do that he put everyone else who looked like him the in danger for his personal game he just kept talking about dollar signs look those two specimens are worth millions to the bioweapons division right now if you're smart we can both come out of as Heroes and we will be set up for life to talk about a transition uh another one is right in the beginning as we discover that Ripley has been um she's safe and she's in the The Vessel um and her face transitions to planet Eart
h mhm and it literally goes in like Mother Earth style yeah which I thought that's just a really great res representation of just if we're going to be talking about reproduction and because like that's what the ellien does um just producing and just trying to colonize you can't do that without females they are the planet we the planet you the we are the planet we are the world oh I don't know no it's not the lyrics but close enough it's all right yeah yeah and that that that transition was just
like it's a little corny but it's also kind of like I don't know F I appreciate the thought yeah I appreciate that thought you know cuz you you can just cross fade to anything you know but when you're doing that and like another moment that I just brought up with like the face Huger going to the hand these are chosen moments you know these are the filmmakers making a decision to do that with actual reasoning rather than just we're crossfading to show time pass that's typically what a Crossfade d
oes is to just show time passing but when you actually have that you know more of a thought behind it than just that I can appreciate that shall we move on to the can o that's good yes absolutely we just refill our drinks the power of editing you didn't see that you didn't see it um but yeah let's go back to the can let's go back to the can let's talk about this actual film making um and I believe you wanted to say something about James Cameron before yeah I just want to say that there's a reaso
n as to why he's you know made such a big name for himself um and just like production wise these sad designs are aazing everything was built the buttons the uh the screens the sliding doors like everything was practical everything was real and it just like makes it feel so much more immersive for us as the audience to be going through these spaces and feel like they are tactile because they are like they're there like these actors are able to interact with these things so well and that I'm sure
helps their performances too to just like make it feel so much more real and there's so many scenes where they're just using gadgets and it's it's enthralling because these gadgets feel so real and you're like what is that thing um I mean they were using a real flamethrower yeah I also just the beginning shots the beginning scene I love so much because there's so much thought behind how can we how can we not only Set This World up but um make it seem like it's been Subzero like temperatures in
here so you have to doze the whole place with glitter to make it have a reflective you know light iy um also the amount of fog machines that you used and there was lasers like that were actually used cuz it would it like scann the place and you were able to see the beautiful swirls of the the fog and I don't know about you guys but anytime that I like light up an incense or something I love fire I love I love F like the the smoke and I love the dance that it like creates so to me I just love tha
t scene so much yeah from a practical point and just being like there was it's so uh what's the word I want to use um it's it's so trivial you know like you wouldn't think that that causes a lot of thought but I could only imagine how many times they did it so that they can get that beautiful swirl and just like coming up with different kinds of like visuals to be able to get things that reflect like I does they must have thought about different things they had to try different and shot it you k
now so like yes you know that is such a simple little scene no one's [ __ ] talking it's just a beginning but to get them what they got they've had to try and F fail try and fail so many times and that's what's so great about film making sometimes I'm bet I bet I bet I mean it it shows the level of care that they give to the World building because that scene is just so many examples of what they carry on for the rest of the movie too like the sets obviously are all practically built but these ga
dgets you know like that Gadget that comes in to and the room that never comes back that's a thing that just happens in that scene and like the other gadgets that we have too of like the guns that are like these huge um it's definitely made from a steady cam rig but it's this huge gun rig that they don't really address but it is there it's part of the world and that just it's just a thing you know and so it's I think that the level of detail comes in the moments where they're not focusing on tha
t detail like we don't have a closeup of these things going on to be like look at this thing that we built isn't this cool no it's just part of the world I want to draw another comparison between creature and Aliens is that the we had stated in creatures that the lack of lighting was so bothersome because we could not receive some information um that was Dire and in Aliens there was a thoughtfulness between the lighting and the shadows and if we were going to not have bright light we had Reds we
have other means that logically a spaceship would have to you know create light a lot of Blues going on so many Blues like most of the movie was just like the Phil and key lights were all Blues which to me is very smart because it is conveying Darkness because we think of blue as night when they in the old times when they were shooting day for night because you didn't have Lighting in the old days so you would shoot everything during the day and then you would put this BL blue filter over it to
convey night so our human brain just for some reason Associates blue with dark so instead of actually using dark in this movie they were using Blues so we could still see things but also feel like it was dark and then they were using darks in smart ways when the AL when we were you know getting shots of the aliens hanging from the rafters to hide and and and shroud them in some sort of mystery they were still using Silhouettes for that which was a a choice in that was smart that's when the crea
tivity comes in you know how are we going to creatively light this space to make it feel a certain way when it's not we're not in space like practically they're shooting this on this planet and they're shooting it probably in a studio somewhere so how do we creatively light this place to con that we're in space or convey that we're somewhere else just in general and I they do it very masterfully in this movie and also we're getting these incredible Miniatures like all of the exterior stuff with
ships flying around in space and these like little Humvees that they're like tank things that they're driving around and through these Halls I'm pretty sure that's all miniature that's not that's probably about this big that they're able to use to make it feel even bigger so but that's still all practical so it it doesn't feel like we are manufacturing special effects they're still shooting all this stuff going to the directing style there was this movie was like almost all close-ups like like e
very shot was like especially in dialogue scenes we're seeing very close face shots close-up of people's faces when we're talking about gadgets we're getting very tight close-ups of people using the gadgets things opening up a majority of the shots in this movie are close-ups which makes it feel a lot more intimate it makes it feel like you're there um and like you're experiencing these things with the characters um there was very little wide shots and most of them were just exterior shots of th
e planet or ships moving about but most things were like in yourface closeups in this movie um which I do I do think actually adds to the scariness of it too cuz you're there you're there mhm yeah it adds to it it adds to the tension of it for sure which I think nicely transitions us to the thrill the scaliness I mean this is an alien movie so we are talking about a xenomorph um Xenomorphs in this movie A lot of them um well there's that s on the aliens so there it is interesting thing about thi
s movie which I forgot about we don't see an alien for about an hour and a half in this movie they really really build it out to yeah leaving like the shots of the aliens that we do get are very selective we only see aliens three to five times I think in this movie they really like there's I clocked it like there was an hour and a half I mean this movie where we did not see any aliens I did definitely say finally finally we get the aliens it's a long time they're building this tension of when ar
e we going to get there he's dragging it because he's like just you wait we got a big one coming we got the mama yeah Mama's here yep you got to be scared mhm and [ __ ] she is big she's a big boss holy moly yeah for them to really hold off on that I think was a very smart choice because then at the end when we get this big reveal of this egg room and then and the way it's like follow ing this egg sack to the ultimate Mama xenomorph oh [ __ ] oh damn that thing is Big that thing is scary it's de
finitely like a level up from Alien which they did do very well in leveling everything up from the first one I think and especially in the monster especially in the alien that is the title they leveled it up for sure and then that then and forces them to level up Ripley too we level she's learned things from the first one she's now facing an even bigger creature in the second one and so she has to level up even more and that's when we get that epic shot of her coming out with a big ass biometric
suit and having this big epic battle with the mama at the end Mama versus mama mama versus Mama yeah so I thought that the cook and the uh tension that they were building around the monster was very good really great they didn't they didn't I think that that's probably where they could have got a little carried away with special effects if they went so intensely in bringing just more aliens see them more they're fighting them more but they didn't do that they kept very much so close to the firs
t one where it's more of this tension building and you know the danger that's out there and I love those moments of like they set up these turret guns to protect them for a little bit and this idea of like the turret ammo going smaller and smaller and smaller and you hear the guns firing off but you don't even see really what they're shooting but we know as the audience what they're shooting we don't need to see a shot of these alien is getting destroyed by the guns we already know what that is
and all these bullets going off and all these rounds going off is just adding to the amount of aliens that are out there without them having to show us all right let's get to the ride the final ride how entertaining was this thing um now like I said we watched the director's cut so inherently that means probably there was more in here than was in the theatric cut this probably a little longer I don't know where they cut I don't know how much more was in this cut than the original but maybe towar
ds the beginning that's what I feel like maybe they they took away some some like added information yeah I don't know it's hard to tell because I mean even the director's got felt like it was pretty mhm driving it so felt like it was definitely moving forward it didn't feel like there was much information that we needed to leave out um there was definitely a good amount of scenes of them using the gadgets and all this kind of stuff maybe those were cut down a little more probably yeah but even s
till it was it was still pretty tight I felt like even the director's cut felt like a pretty tight cut where they couldn't really get rid of much I'm pretty sure I saw the director's cut the first time that I saw aliens and that was like not too long ago that was back in like November so yeah um the ride was pretty great yeah um I do want to say that perhaps an hour and a half it's a little too long to wait nowadays I think if I was seeing this back in 1986 for the first time for a while I would
n't have been born or I wouldn't have I was not alive um but you know like definitely there was a pace to things that nowadays just like we are being fed information right away so I do appreciate that the pacing is different but um yeah maybe cutting it to like 40 minutes or something yeah a lot closer yeah yeah um yeah tining some of the things um but that's what that's what you know we learn we would learn from it um and the thing is too is like we are we know this franchise being in 2024 we k
now the alien franchise you and I have seen enough alien things that like if a alien movie was going to be made now they would not have to to spend as much time explaining the science behind this thing explaining like the rules behind this thing because it's been established in the alien lore so well already if anything you'll get like not the visuals right away but you definitely get the noise of they're like hissing they're like oh yeah exactly exactly we don't need we don't need it to build u
p as much as it did because we know what's coming at this point but maybe in ' 86 this is only the second movie of the aliens franchise this probably was an extremely tense experience for people who had never seen Alien movies before like you could probably watch this movie not seeing alien and still enjoy it and know what's going on yep they took that time to really build out the characters and build out the creature where you don't need to see alien before you need to see aliens I don't think
it's I don't think it takes away from the viewing experience I definitely think this is stand alone yeah you might understand a little more about Ripley's past but even then it's they do a pretty good job of establishing her character alone in this movie where I like when stand alone yeah I like when a sequel does that yeah where it can stand alone or that if like they to say a little bit better than the first one you know not saying that this one but like in particular like sequels in general w
hen like the first movie was like okay let's pump this out let's see how great it is and then it is it takes off therefore the second one just kind of like establishes the world more the characters more um and they put it in someone's like good hands mhm to do something incredible with it so aliens um alons alons 1986 very fun very fun all right let's get to these smash pumpkins let's see what we think I couldn't tell you what we uh rated the first one because I was black out but um let's see wh
at aliens gets from us do you have a number I think I do what do you got for me I have a 4.8 whoa 4.8 that's I think the the biggest one really like this movie like I mentioned I love Ripley not only does she look like one of my exes but I think she is such a strong character without her having to yell or go crazy you know um all of her emotions make sense and they're human like she is human um and she's motherly as well and strong I just love her character I think she's a really great represent
ation of Womanhood um and motherhood um and just a human what you would do to protect those around you um so the only fault and I just mentioned this the two point2 points that I removed was just a pacing of the the beginning but again that's just my personal preference and um and I mean yeah I was just like can I give it a five no not quite there yet not my five yet 48 is pretty that's pretty close I love Ripley yeah that I think that's pretty high praise for a movie and I agree you know it's i
t she has become such a great character in popular culture and then we're going back and watching these movies of like her origin you're like [ __ ] yeah like it makes sense that she's stuck around as a popular character in movie culture because she is a great character she's so well written um and I really do think the writers did a great job in this film um not only building up her character but also cooking these like Concepts and and ideas that we were talking about in the meat subtly and we
ll you know we're not getting creature of like saying all these things like H nail on the head of what's going on these ideas that they're talking about are being subtly thrown in there while also providing us with a very exciting and tense viewing experience like it's it's a great horror movie also saying a lot the monster is great and they're aliens is Iconic it's iconic and it's it is that way for a reason and watching these first couple movies you realize that you realize why um and you know
I do agree with you I think that the first hour and a half of us actually getting to the planet probably could be cut down and maybe that was cut down in the actual cut but in the director's cut at least it was like wow an hour and a half into this movie we finally get to the aliens um so maybe we could have gotten there a little faster um but even still I was pretty entertained in the moments of no aliens so that's a pretty high praise I think I'm G to give this movie I gotta give it a 4.5 all
right not five yet we haven't hit a five yet not yet season 3 we we got got these uh a little higher standards I think when it comes to a five neither a five yet we we were tossing those fives like there was no tomorrow but also we started our podcast with some bangers bangers season two we came out with some really really good movies season 3 we've got some really really bad but hey it's what the bucket wants to give us all right it's what the bucket wants the first one we did was the platform
which was one of my favorite movies so it's all downhill from there which is literally what the platform is about going down going down going down with yelling Aliens 1986 wow what an experience um let's see what we got for next week huh did I pick out last time or did you yeah I think it was you okay cool if listen I'm loving sci-fi but maybe maybe can we get away from sci-fi this next week you know that pray harder or I want I want um what do you want what do you want I want a good slasher I
want a good classic slasher slash give me a nightmare in Elm Street the slash Slinging Slasher all right she's reading it a family takes a weekend trip with long time friends and their two young children but they suspect something Supernatural when the kids behave strangely after disappearing into the woods overnight oh boy this doesn't sound sci-fi anymore for sure o it's a movie from last year last year cool we got a modern one there is something wrong with the children there's something wrong
with the children those damn kids oh damn kid we were trying to protect them up in space and now there's something wrong with those kids so sounds like we got a creepy kids movie creepy kids cool hando and gredle fair that was the OG creepy kids story yeah maybe it's something like this maybe cool there's something wrong with the children cool we'll see you next week for that yeah well uh in the meantime you can call us please uh leave us a uh voicemail about anything related to horror how you
