The fact that this woman did not win any awards for this movie or this scene alone is insane. She is one hell of an actress and the way she terrified me in this scene shows how talented she is

1:06 the hissing and a small glimmer of light in her eyes made this scene terrifyingly beautiful
Imagine how that excorcist felt when he realized he was facing 5 demons and the devil himself.
I read that after they shot this scene, the cast and crew asked her never to do that again because it freaked them out so much. If it ain't true it oughta be!
The moment she screams just : "NAMES!!" is epic through the roof.

Yeah, this actress....couldn’t have found ANYONE better to play this role. She’s amazing, and KNOWS how to do “scary” perfectly.

I just love that when she reaches Belial the thunder suddenly stops but you can still see the black in her eyes and then as a grande finale you see those lights in her eyes as she utters "and I am Lucifer; the devil in the flesh". Excellent camera work.
I love the way they incorporated a realistic way to create terrifying glowing eyes when she finally names Lucifer. Lighting at just the right angle and lenses that have enough reflectivity to enhance the glow, but, not enough for it to be outside of realm of believability. On a related note, Jennifer Carpenter's acting was on point this whole movie. Her screaming is beastly, man. And to think, she blew her first audition for the role due to not having time to actually read the script. We lucked out that they gave her a second chance after reading it.

One of THE most underrated horror films of all time. The darkness flashing near the end, with those glassy black eyes...my girlfriend and I saw this in the theater and felt our blood run cold.
