The original (first) two Omen films had a compelling story, brilliantly cast with a superb score by the late Jerry Goldsmith (sadly missed) & i have watched them many times I am looking forward to seeing the new one.
0:45 The reason the first one worked was because they didn't over play the scene, this one in particular they had her look and act all creepy where as the original Omen, could've been a kindergarten teacher, acted normal "It's all for you" with a warm smile and we see her hang herself. Here we almost expect her to do something nuts, the director even left out a piece of the railing and having her wave - gee i wonder what she's gonna do next.
Looking forward for this when it will come out on blu-ray. I don't have a cinema in my area.
I remember when I watched this for first time ever on TV! , such a classic, Jerry Goldsmith's soundtrack a masterpiece!

No they already messed with the lore! According to articles I read Damien is born of a nun….not a jackal! How can this possibly be a prequel????
The Omen is a masterpiece and Damien Omen II is a great sequel Omen 3 was a little ant climatic but Sam Neill is great. I always felt Omen 3 should of been Damien in college . It was too rushed. I liked Omen 4 better than that useless remake but they were both pretty bad. This one surprisingly is getting good reviews . Hope it's a worthy prequel
But what about the jackal
The 90s remake with Julia Stiles and Liev Schreiber is so cruelly ignored here it hurts
