The Gaming Cup Noodle from Japan

I've been wanting to try out the Gaming Cup Noodle and the Gaming Curry ever since I heard about them, and they are finally here! Can they provide anything "gaming" to the food space? [Edvard Grieg: “Peer Gynt - Morning Mood”] [high tempo EDM music] [music stops] [high tempo EDM music] [music stops] [high tempo EDM music] [music stops] [high tempo EDM music] Ugh... I am not gamer enough! How can I increase my gamer level even more? Huh? Huh? What is that? Gamer cup noodles? So in case you haven't heard the news, these are actually real and exist and you can buy them in Japan. These are from Nissin, who is probably the biggest cup noodle maker. They have a whole Cup Noodle Mus
eum in Yokohama, and I remember when I went there, there was a room where you could see all the existing cup noodles, and there are a lot! So if you've ever eaten cup noodles, you probably came across with Nissin, but these are their new gaming branded ones. And they didn't just release the gaming cup noodle, they also released the gaming Karemeshi, which is like an instant curry. So these two gaming products, besides being super RGB, what makes them gamer? What gamers need most, more than anyth
ing else? That's right, that's caffeine. So apparently these actually have caffeine in them. I literally just bought it for the skit. I prefer Red Bull, so if you wanna sponsor me. Anyways, I have no idea how these taste, what it means that they have caffeine in them. Do we know how much caffeine they have? Caffeine: 41 mg. Okay, so in this Monster there are 150 mg of caffeine. You would need to eat three of them to have a Monster? I mean, Monster is not good for you, I know... It seems like a f
ine amount of caffeine, if I'm being honest. I'm not a dietology expert, so don't take this as an advice or anything. So what makes this a gaming cup noodle? First of all, you see energy. Yeah, energy, energy flavored. It's gonna be energy flavored. And it has garlic, as well as black pepper. I mean, even if it just has garlic and black pepper, I would probably like it. It is yakisoba, which is like, you know, the noodles... like stir-fried noodles, I think how it's called in English. It has caf
feine... Arginine? Whaa, I don't, I don't know... I'm gonna search up what these have. Most healthy people do not need to supplement with arginine because it is a component of all protein-containing foods. But I mean, I'm a gamer. I ain't no healthy person. Let's move on to the instant curry! I absolutely love curry, so... This is, I have high hopes for that one. It also has energy, as well as ginger keema curry, which is like a... How do you call this thing? Grounded! Grounded beef in English,
yeah. And it also has like a curry spice meter on the side! This is gonna be medium spice! So it should be pretty good, not to destroy your mouth, but to enhance your Valorant skills. If you're not reaching Radiant after eating one of those, it is not my responsibility! No promises here. I'm not legally binding! It has 47 mg of caffeine, so a tiny, tiny bit more than the cup noodle. Whatever... It's about lunchtime now, so let's go to the kitchen and try these out! First of all, we're gonna need
to heat a lot of water because we're gonna make basically two different dishes. But I have to try both of them out! I can't miss out on this perfect chance to be the perfect gamer! So first of all, the Gaming Cup Noodle! It has garlic and black pepper so I would expect it to be... like that... I have no idea if you're gonna feel the caffeine in it or if it's gonna give you a little bump. You have to peel it off, there's a little marker. This is the soy sauce that we're gonna add later. You have
to fill it up with the hot water until the line. You have to seal it back up, and you have to put your soy sauce on top of that so it also gets a little warm. Three minutes! After three minutes, what you have to do, there's little dotted lines here, peel it off because woah! And you use it for, that's right, to get the water out! And it’s gonna be really hot water so just make sure that like, it doesn't pour on you. Last step is to take your soy sauce. I'm always doing a messy job with that. If
someone knows a better method just tell me because I'm always making a mess. Final step just mix it up with everything else. I can definitely smell the garlic, it's pretty good. Now that it's done, time for the review! Kuromi! No, no, no! That’s mine! So it's finally time to review the actual Gaming Cup Noodle! It's good! I don’t know if it comes as a surprise or not but you can't really tell that it has caffeine. Probably for the better. The black pepper, you can definitely also feel kind of l
ike as an aftertaste after the garlic. Have I eaten the shrimps? Tastes good just like a shrimp! Is it my favorite cup noodle? Probably no. If I'm being completely honest my favorites are the seafood ones. They're just like seafood mix, I think how it's called, the blue one. Obviously it has like a more “spice tone”. I don't know if these are actually real, like review words. Obviously you can feel more the garlic and the black pepper, more than like actual meat. So it was really good! As I said
I like when there are a lot more shrimp in that. This one though, 8 out of 10. Obviously the whole gaming thing and, apparently it does have caffeine, it's not gonna make a difference. Which is great, you don't wanna eat coffee I think in a cup noodle. 8 out of 10 is a good score and since it is the same price as anything else, it doesn't have like a “gamer tax”. So I would say this is good! But now, let's move on to the Gaming Karemeshi! Gaming Instant Curry! I absolutely love curry! I also ma
ke curry quite often, so I'm probably gonna be a lot more critical with this one. And again I don't know how much gamerness is gonna come out from this curry. You can see it already has the rice in there, as well as a little curry pod or curry tablet? I don't know how it's called in English. But most people who wanna ear a curry just buying these little curry cubes, you just have to put it in there as well as the meat and all the vegetables and it's gonna be ready in quite a short time. But this
is even faster than that because it has everything inside! You just have to pour in the water. You have to give it a little bit of a stir. Similarly you seal it off and it says that the curry needs five minutes of waiting, so let's go! Let's see how it looks like! As for the smell, hmm... Smells like regular curry. Honestly I can't really tell a super much difference, but the most important thing is the taste. Tastes like curry! I can definitely feel the ginger, it's really good. Yeah I have to
say this is really really good! Actually I may have a controversial opinion here. I would have maybe liked it even more if it was just a notch higher on the spicy chart. Just a tiny bit more spicy and you actually have this little boost. You know when you eat spicy food and you're like I can just focus so much better now! I don’t know, apparently it has like 47 mg of caffeine, maybe it helps your focus anyways. The ginger really coming out from this. Even if it has any caffeine it's almost impo
ssible to feel. Does caffeine even have a taste? I have to fact check this one. Caffeine actually has a bitter taste to it, so it really depends on the overall flavor of a drink. So it actually has a taste, but it's like, it’s just bitter. I don't know if it's the caffeine specifically, there is definitely bitterness in it, in a very very good sense. But that's probably just the ginger. Which is good, like it's really good! I'm never using ginger when I'm making curry, from now on maybe I would!
As for the ingredients it doesn't have that many. But anyways it has wheat, it has milk products, it has pork and it has soy. I'm not 100% sure I would be able to tell the difference if it had beef. Because the ginger is just so strong. So what rating would I give for the Gaming Instant Curry? Definitely one of the better curries that I've eaten, even just like in general curries. And this is instant curry! Ready in five minutes, it's really really impressive! Easy 9 out of 10. Together with th
e curry and the cup noodle I have consumed now about 100 mg of caffeine. I think that should be noticeable. Again, that Monster bottle has 150 and these two has 100. So it's not much less, definitely comparable, and because of that it's finally time to test out the effects in the real world! Woah, is it actually working? Fu-
