oh what's going on guys it's Ace I'm back here
downtown Havana that I show you some more of the area I'm heading this way it's uh next to
the Florida bar I went to the Ernest Hemingway bar right there um and I'm heading down this way
to see what I can find trying to look for some breakfast actually it's a little bit the afternoon
already and trying to see what's the energy about with that but uh yeah I'm gonna be walking down
here this guy right here looks like he's trying to follow me alre
ady we start but anyways let's see
how it goes no no no no okay gracias all right so hopefully he doesn't follow me um yeah just not
in the mood for haggling today guys all right yes how are you all right let's see how that's
gonna look it's in English for your boy two fried eggs omelette fruit
juice and there's another one um I'm trying to see the difference between
this one and this one besides the price all right guys so here is the coffee I got
me some Cuban uh espresso some agua uh I
don't know what the water's for we're here
I know you're drinking this one I know and then some sugar right there yeah let's check it out let
me just try the coffee by itself just like this uh this is busy this is good
coffee this is good coffee this is good coffee right here
why not try it with some sugar I needed that to wake me up I'm not gonna
complain it's uh it's nice and toasty I actually thought I was gonna be eating um
the Cuban bread I normally eat in Miami and it seems like they
don't normally make
that here uh at least in other places I've been I haven't seen it neither maybe they
make it but in certain areas but normally in Miami anywhere you go and there are Spanish
people it doesn't even matter they're gonna have a Cuban bread but this is uh nice and toasty
okay okay all right and this right here is a pineapple juice uh I'm choosing to drink it uh
hopefully the water use is purified but just, to be honest, I've been going out and I know it's
like you know the
y have ice and I've been drinking um alcohol from the ice I don't know if the
alcohol does something nice but I don't get sick from drinking water with uh drinking
alcohol that had ice water in it so let's see this is really good pineapple juice let me try
some of this bread right now nice and toasty they gave me some butter here one of the things
I've noticed though about Old Havana the prices are marked up higher in terms of getting food
where I stayed starts with a B I put it here the pr
ice is a little bit more economical uh my
breakfast right here so I got some three eggs this normally comes through eggs I asked for another
egg for additional price and then ham and cheese right here just the regular two eggs and ham and
cheese this goes for like 350 pesos all right guys I'm gonna enjoy this and get back on the road
all right just in case you're wondering what's the name of the place there it is something I wanted
to talk about man first off I want to give a shout out to u
h uh travelmatic he is a travel channel I
was speaking to him before I came here he gave me a lot of good advice about coming here so most
definitely check out his channel I'll put his Link in the description I want to talk about a
little bit more about my experience coming here um hiccup I did normally when I travel I
have a system where where I put all my stuff Electronics normally come on the carry-on with me
they're always like with me a computer stuff like that for the most part that's
the case this time
but I forgot to remove my SSD cards I was in Miami I was moving from hotel to a next place and and I
just put everything in my main bag and I forgot to remove those SSD cards it was worth around seven
hundred dollars is new SSD card not the regular hard drive ones and um I had a lot of files in
there uh all my old five all my old videos from 2018 all the way up to now we're in we're in
there and I end up leaving them in my bag and came here and when I got to my Airbnb th
ey were
not in my bag I didn't even realize that we're in my check bag that was missing and also the razor
was missing and then a perfume and how I know it wasn't left in Miami because the perfume box which
ironically it was still there but it was empty now and I had like three of them three prune boxes
two of them still were full the other one was not and so yeah if you want to avoid all of that just
wrap your bags you know it could have still been avoided if I had wrapped my bags because
they
they can't really if you're going through the airport they can't really uh tea pretty much
they can't take it from you or they're gonna have to come up with a reason why they opened up
your bag if anything and that's going to be very questionable like who will open it it could be
Tracy stuff like that so just wrap your bag if you are traveling here you got something that you
have to put in your check bag it's very important all right anything else oh yeah um yesterday
there was there
was a power outage at my Airbnb apparently this month I'm in the government
has been telling people that they're going to be some power outages and so I experienced that
water some places have it some places don't but I guess it depends on the person's the business
position but yeah we just came from they had water so I was shocked but then again we in the tourist
area but you go to certain areas it'll be like oh no water we got Coca-Cola stuff another thing is
the haggling once they know y
our tourists they're you know they're gonna ask yeah I ain't mad at
them but you know you cannot help everybody man foreign okay okay see this is where I can go ahead and help
people out basically you know what I mean if I could all right this is uh haggling me no
that's not gonna work history here too okay this world was around Old Havana of the city was built for Spain for potato attacks took
two times this was part of the Fortress is the only part that reminds of the
city wall they used
to close it at 4 00 am at open at 4 00 am in the morning and
close it at nine so at night they do the candle so they used to close the I didn't know they
shoot the cannon at night yeah that night you never heard it yeah you can hear it like boom
boom but I think it's called Cuba I don't know nine o'clock they shoot in the car and this is
the only wall the only door that still reminds of the wall this right here yes this yes let me
show you the map it's so far they still remind a few parts b
ut the only door that is still this is
one of the original remain remaining doors foreign that's amazing and is this a Castillo yeah
this is a castle over here this is one of the castles but this is a one in in the
Malecon with the Malecon okay okay okay wow and so but this is the only one the door
that Still Remains here hey how you notice all right story about it um ever since I met this guy he's like a library of
information he ain't he's not this open his mouth said this man knows exact
ly what he's talking
about he's not gonna waste your time taking a tour with the man all right you've been gonna be
busy man I know you busy already if you can't if this is a book try to book with him if you see
if you can squeeze in like I guarantee you it's gonna be like yes book it in advance so it's
gonna be really good you're not gonna waste no time at all he can help set up everything for
you all right when Obama was President they changed he changed a couple things right yeah
he giv
es 12 categories of American visitors so they can come to Cuba and visit oh 12 different
reasons why they could come here okay people to people that Trump eliminate that so part of
the Cuban people so interchange like between schools cultural trips you know college and that's
what Obama did for the people of Cuba yes he Cuba after 88 years of being close
wow so he make like a ceremony in the embassy, they put the flag again because the flag
was not flying in the building so then he like peo
ple start to coming back like the cruise ships
Royal Caribbean Empress of the Seas. so it was a lot more money coming into bro Havana Changed,
It was good for everybody. when the cruise ship used to dock at the harbor, the city got crazy.
classic cars like everyone come out spend the money you know people were happy and when even
when Obama came people wanted to see him. that's why people say Obama "come" because they like
him here. they like it and then Trump got in office and everything c
hanged. what happened with
Trump? he cut the cruises, he cut some flights, and he cut some categories. but many people
don't know they can still come to Cuba to the support of the Cuban people Catagory. oh so a lot
of people thought when Trump changed stop travel, but he didn't stop everything, okay. yeah its
still possible to visit on the support of the Cuban people category. that basically is like
booked your flight and stay at Airbnbs not the hotels. okay. use private taxis eat at local
restaurants and I bring supplies to like some people who share with the locals so people can
still come here yeah but a lot of people when they saw it they thought it was over but yeah
they showed it from like what was everything under Obama could people stay at hotels here
not really no even even then they still was not allowed to stay at hotel okay but at least they
could it was more categories for them to come visit well like what happened like if you come
under the other categories lik
e you can stay at the hotels but support of the Cuban people
category okay now I'm getting it you know and Trump give like a list of hotels that you cannot
and you can't stay it's a list wow yeah yeah but like many people think that it's like a Cuban
no that don't want that American state Hotel no it's not a Cuban government in the U.S government
that where you get back and say listen you stayed in the Cuban hotels that maybe that that property
was owned by the Americans that they left Cuba
's you know there is a law that they have like a
in court because that was using the the poor dog that used to be owned by the American Family wow
back in this so with so many different Politics on yeah like so many politics like you have to
like you know read about it and look for more information about it like it's more complicated
like these people sing it is you know okay cool and that's happening so like we're talking
about Western Union yeah when first people come here they got broke
because they can use
with a few hundreds of dollars and they think that the car is working so they go broke but
like they use Western Union somebody like you send money but from uh Western Union so no more I
like these uh security uniforms they're very nice it's something about the fish stockings I do
see at the uh the iPod they have the same yeah fish talking he's like Buenas tilo so what is
this again this is ATM um the bunch so people to exchange oh wow so the main street in all
Havana
it's a pedestrian street Obispo this is the drugstore from Johnson Johnson only in
the days before the 50s wow hold on let me look is it it's empty now or it's empty this is
like a museum but it's close Okay this street before the pandemic yeah was like most of the
bar this is one of the bar they have different bars with live bands music players so it was
a lot more liveable model of life this street right here right here it's like people compare
it like The Bourbon Street something like th
at ah yeah I got it okay I guess Live library shops
restaurants bars and people shopping walking up and down and it get crowded on weekends especially
since the people going out oh man yeah you know people come foreigners come here every day I just
met a group of foreigners from Italy and I mainly Europeans Canadians Germans even from Russia
before like the war many Russians come here wow this might be one of the most famous Islands
people like to come to in the Caribbean yeah it's not even
like the like half a percent
of tourists that used to come to Cuba this is not even half what is it like a third maybe 35
percent that's the telephone company the only one that you have okay yeah that's the one I have
right now yes it's only one can a foreigner get it or yes you can be your passport and you like
ten dollars you get the keyboard SIM cards so you can get data phone calls and everything yeah
I have it's it's not that bad it's not the Super fastest but yeah like you know it's
not bad see
Havana Street oh okay yeah I see it uh you know the streets by the back of your hand you know
everything now right here just normal walking through these streets huh yeah this is like oh
Havana is Historical Center is where the tourists come so you know to go to the main squares in
restaurants but but Cuban people live here so it's not like it's touristic but it's to this day
because the history you know like this the main Square all the squares now all the history museums
rest
aurants oh yeah there's a lot of humans like the back streets of the main squares it's just
to like a local labels like the hood okay okay we didn't guys if we film another video you
can't you can't miss it okay I'm actually in a possession of a black panther shirt from someone
who escaped the the United States so don't miss that video okay this is another video we're
doing right now don't miss out don't miss out but he's showing me around town and giving
me more perspective of this city al
l right nice nice oh yeah nothing today so what is
this place this is okay and this friend is really good it's good okay all right cool yeah it
sounds like I got good music here too all right I feel it I feel a good vibe in this coming up
here AC guys that's the case you wondering all right okay wow hello wow to my son over there okay thank you oh this is good here it's smooth the
tacos too the taco food okay guys ah very very sweet and a little bit of spiciness
um we moved to another table
better table right here hey let me ask you a question so they
got they got fish here right yeah this is an island I've been to a lot of different islands
and a lot of different islands have fish a lot of fish but what happened in Cuba bro you got
you can find fish but they sport like most of the fish are the lobster you can find a fish
ball like at the restaurants hotels but even like local people they don't have much access to
feed even like they see this over there because the resources
like you go to the malecon you
see the Fishermans they fishing and they sell into the restaurants but it's not like like a
fish market like in the island when you go to buy the fish plenty fish no it's not yeah because
I've been to plenty of different islands and it's freeze everywhere this is like the first island
I've noticed that you're in the island you were surrounded by food remember that everything
is controlled by the government so they allow um freelance free somewhere in the water
they
love about it they have a small boats they don't have big oh big chips everything inside the
government so fish here is expensive some places but like what happened like at the restaurant
you can find it like for the rest foreign dollars to 220 pesos it's like two dollars and
20 cent but this is fat is expensive for the with the salary it's like 2000 25 30 the minimum
salary so that's too much that's too much for um a local to afford yeah so this is this
place right here is geared mo
re to tourism that's why we have fish here yes okay
that's crazy you would think like hey you have to look for it sometimes look look I use my sink that after Obama visit Cuban
opened it up and when I was pooping we have a big concert of a rolling stone a Mick Jagger
all these people fast and furious eight they choose the movie The City got crazy they are
like you have helicopters fly in the city the victors from Hollywood they paid a lot of money
to the taxi driver wow the classic cars and
to the government to hello to shoot because was the
first big movie they shoot in Cuba Chanel the company the clothes in fashion they do a show
here in Cuba Brianna Kardashians everyone want to came at the time to Havana so it was big
many restaurants open many airbnbs but then we dropped everything messed up and now with the
pandemic there is not many restaurants open like they used to because economy is not so well you
can find like the resources but you see the menu in the restaurants t
hey don't have everything
that you're looking for oh you have this no no I only have this this one you know if they know
they got enough money coming in they could keep like even like you see that they
have many new uh hotels building because before the pandemic they
were expecting many but they built many hotels but the pandemic makes
everything up is your dream coming up wow thank you mango guys really
good all right the food came so far guys and this is actually a propheta
up the fish
fish for coconut is very good really good very tasty so food is here nice to lay a
fish right here mashed sweet potato and some vegetables Bon Appetit yo guys this is actually good right here man sweet mashed potatoes I've never
ate that before it's good wow all right guys we're back in uh the strip
showing me this building right here used to be the treasury building and um now they're building
a hotel right here very impressive Hotel it's wow that's really quiet they don't build building
l
ike that anymore it's gonna be amazing how you do with uh people uh simply asking for cash
that was a thing for me this morning a lot of as soon as I start people hey because you don't
really know never when what the situation yeah what the situation some people they really need
it some people do it they drink alcohol so for the people they asking and they they living a
good life they have a good house like you know I have seen a guy that he used like wow like you
have problems we're in a r
ip-off clothes yeah and then I have to see him drinking beers wearing
like night closes and uh so that's it also yeah oh there you go we got energy here when
it comes to uh the people here for sure it's like out of the build is in Cuba are like
back in days used to be on by only one Spanish or phone it's from Spain they used to put
the horses okay here down the stairs like the quad business at the side and the houses
owned by only one family you see the the blue plants it will save the wate
r okay so what
do they have like enough strengths to get up so that you spoke to pump the water up now
they need multi families many like 18 okay so this is like another tenement uh home guys this
is something like the The Meters electricity if you see every meter it's one house okay you
build it now oh wow so when people did they divide the spaces you know and build and in the
first floor they did like a kitchen bathroom on the living room the second floor the rooms so
is that everybody s
hare the kitchen or foreign wow they even ran the gas through here
oh you got to be careful in this uh this I will show you another one like you see
like another one that the state Falls and you just have to fix it okay yeah there's many old
buildings here in all Havana they have many years and they don't keep it day because people don't
have the money to renovate you know all right do they have a lot of conclusion
going on like Apartments buildings oh her she smile at everything okay his b
oyfriend hello guys wow these are all wires this is going everywhere
right this one was the original the original stairs okay but this part also became
dangerous are using anymore this one so they're using this the government yeah
teaching this one okay using this one okay the stairs kind of shaky but
not too bad you know I'm a big guy not expecting a heavy guy all right yeah wow I don't even want to be
hanging out right here it's a little dip and then you got all these power wires all righ
t yeah I got some cats
here hanging out all right oh okay good idea so and essentially this still is
a tenement all right these are more apartment upstairs okay you see the
people they have they fix it and they do new they use the space and they do small
runs and so what happens when it rains rains the humidity and then with the
songs get down yeah get out yeah they like Explorer collapse many of them also got
to be careful this one this is a bathroom all right oh wow comfortable it's like
a
kitchen you got the AC no like it it's fun yeah okay that's the window right
here and then you got your friend this is them for saving water oh yeah
so this one is not the case for many of this building like this they share a bathroom
yeah so this one he's okay he's building one so how you go in this bathroom
here you gotta go the other way okay he's fixing it okay for people
upstairs okay so just you don't know foreign there you go okay um yeah nice reality um and what about privacy th
at's the only privacy all right okay I'm gonna give
you something so you can give them okay when we go outside
you can give it to her okay okay all right okay Russian book for food like six pounds of rice per
person a month five eggs a month so oil is very cheap in pesos kind of like a communist countries
like the Soviet Union Germany where Cuba is still doing this or different here the people came
with the book and they do the mark on so every month they get that that's for every family ev
ery
family but it's Russia right no more and that's for one month one pound in here of rice costs like
seven pesos stayed in the streets 65 to 70 pesos one pound of rice wow so this small is not last
for the whole month but it's home okay they're playing R Kelly I know he got 30 years of the idea
here but many people don't know it's not here they still loving him but like what I said you have
to separate the uh you know the music from the uh the person the person okay guys welcome to my
hu
mble place we are in all Havana the touristic area so if you book a tour right here with the
Cuban plug with me so I will be able to set up a dinner authentic dinner so Cuban typical food
so you won't get this anywhere else so you have like authentic dinner with my family you know
so right here so it's like in my spot right here yeah this is a very very beautiful place
man it's real close to the tourist areas like a bunch of hotel cells on this corner this
is the area we were basically tour
ing today or baseball okay okay cool cool cool so just
check out the decor this is my favorite part right here okay okay and then he you know he
got uh pictures of his family so you really when you come here you get a real sense of
home that's the most thing that I enjoy that uh I feel like I'm home relaxing I mean we've
seen different um homes today yeah we're seeing like yeah he I went with with Leon you know and
saw like some of the authentic places that were the low cost human lives so
that you see like I
was explaining him before like this took me time and money to to do this you know to set up
everything here so yeah like well before how was it this place before well this one like only the
four walls empty the fruit was funny everything about conditions have to redo it everything and
how you how were you able to go ahead and do that because like the many like tourists coming with
the Obama time the cruise ship is help me like they hired me as a tour guide as I was able
to do
man let's make that money that's a lot of work man it's a lot of work and money and you know well
appreciate you man look at you uh man thank you for bringing me to your house man guys if you
are trying to get in contact with this guy get an authentic feel for cue ball from someone
knowledgeable because I've been around some random people right in other videos but someone
knowledgeable knows his stuff and can bring you to places you probably couldn't go and speaks
really good English
this is your guy right here okay man this guy listen but I I gotta stress this
if you're coming give the man time because he's busy okay but uh schedule call him up schedule
up something you're busy because you're worth it yeah this past day he had a couple of women from
New York he got some women from not like Texas or Houston from Charlotte uh from DC yeah a couple
of this guy knows what he's talking about and he's gonna make your experience here well worth
it all right go check him out
okay all right about the tournament we just saw and now
that it's raining it gets me nervous on um the condition of how the place could
be and what he's telling me is that the government can't step in and shut it down
but they will offer them a temporary home yes for those homes that's crazy huh many people went
to the family living together no conditions at all like shouting like scent bathrooms imagine if
you have kids you know things with people that you don't know men's all together not
from dishes so
and then I know people waiting 20 15 even 30 years to to the government provide a new place and they
never this never happens the government building the hotels restaurants but not a houses and so
it takes a while for them to not well eight years years before so those people who live in temporary
housing that's their new house that's it yeah I like some many times they build this house and
be lost in life people like yeah because and they most of the falls it happens after l
ike at night
when they're sleeping because they're sleeping so if you're sleeping in the bottom and something
fall it's not good you might likely survive if you lived on the top even even from the top
yeah what this building collapse is straight wow so the bill is in the past
the buildings have collapsed so you see many people walking in
the middle of the tree you know Havana and the people say what
the people who are in the middle wow that right there gets me like
nervous you know what I
mean what happens to those buildings when
they fall did they get rebuild back or mostly some of them they get available
most of them they do another building maybe a hotel okay and they relocate the people
that out of the city they want another place park that's why like many people wondering why
the people are still living in this condition because they don't have a better option
to live too far far away from the money this right here the main economy here is the
tourism here in the neig
hborhood I'm also like one of the main is like a exporting like doctor
or service by the way so yeah I heard about that a lot of people come here for uh to use medical
uh Services here wow yeah I heard about that yeah but what happens at two like some of the doctors
they go out on Mission they leave the missions because the payments you know the government
gets part of the of that payment okay and when they leave the missions they escape they have to
wait eight years to come back as a sunsh
ine whoa yeah just like that okay they have to come back they can get
back in the country after eight years because I know a lot of people uh a lot of
doctors have left and then you know you still have some who are still yeah most of them they
have their family here you know they live for the better situation no better economy they don't
have their family from there from there yeah when I was in a club I ended up meeting a Mexican or
not a Mexican woman uh when I was in the club I ended up
meeting a Cuban woman and uh with her
she uh lives in Mexico now she left huh okay he's pushing us back because I'm so happy man what happened like you know I've
seen like we have also here the bigger like Latin American School of
Medicine yeah many people like from Mexico from Africa even from the
United States you have a student freak yeah um there was a doctor in Haiti and uh I didn't have many yeah I met him
he in Haiti but he came here to learn uh we got the rain going guys let's go
i
t's not much but it's all I have and if we could run to a place where we belong
yeah around in the bike like twenty dollars one more yeah people selling to her friends Hey Joe
this guy in Cuba is speaking English so he can show you around so people start to tell me oh
let's do a walking tour took me in a classic car so this is how I end up like doing tours you
know but it was it started off riding bicycle wow foreign

Thank you for showing the Black People of Cuba.
I have been to Cuba 3 times in the nineties for holidays. I am a black man from the UK 62 years old now. What I immediately noticed was the comfort disparity between the white skinned Cubans and the dark skinned Cubans. In the hotels you will see dark skinned women cleaning the hotel rooms. But when it comes to front desk and reception work, all white. Same thing with waiter/Waitress work all white. I started thinking all the black people had died out until we were taken on a coach trip to a little market in Havana hidden in the back ways. That's when I noticed that all the sellers were black like me. It's like the Cuban powers that be don't want you to know that Black people exist in cuba. After all, it was the African slaves that built cuba up. The only time they are not afraid to push blacks to the front is at the Olympic games to participate in boxing.
Beautiful Black People!!!! 🖤🤎 Love Afro Cubans!!! 🇨🇺
We know why Cuba is misrepresented. All of those beautiful Black people, and they are not treated fairly. Same issue with Haiti. Some people think that all Cubans look like Pitt Bull. 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦 We have to support our own. Period 🥰
Ace, another classic video! You went straight to the culture. Mad Respect to the Cuban Plug. He is an awesome and humble person. He's very knowledgeable about his history. Wishing him and his family all the best. I've always wanted to visit Cuba. Its on my bucket list. I have a great uncle that left Haiti for Cuba many decades ago. He settle in Santiago de Cuba. My family lost contact with him since he departed. Blessing, Manners, Honor and Respect! Bon Bagay!
That is so eye-opening to see the conditions of others. And then you see the conditions that the tour guide leaves. Such a thin line. Thank you for the great content Bro! 🌎👣
Greetings , Thanks much for seeing the world through your lens ☮☮👍👍👍👍 .
I am loving this exploration & I know the Assata Shakur interview is going to be GREAT!!! The Cuban Plug is the BEST. I am definitely hitting him up!!!
Ace, you’re starting to get better than Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown,” ……HBO territory. You there, at that level…..right now!
The atmosphere and Cuban culture is beyond imagination, Greetings from 🇿🇦 mother land
When ever I visit Cuba I leave as much people with money as I can just to make days feel better in their lives 🤠🎙️
Very sobering. And still they have such a zest for life. Thankyou Ace, very informative.
My dad is black and my mom is Cuban but consider myself black first before anything. When I went to Cuba to see my mother's side of the family I was so amazed how many black people I saw and loved it. Of course Hollywood and other Media won't show that side.
I need to find a way to help this family out. I travel throughout the islands, but this was heart-rending.
Another beautiful featurette of the beautiful Cuban people. One day I will visit too. Our countries have always supported each other. Viva Cuba! Bless them....🙏
Wow! Beautiful black people of Cuba ❤
That lady looks good for her age it’s amazing. I still can’t believe she is 62. Great content bro. Have fun in Jamaica 🇯🇲
At the end if the video when it's raining it was such bitter sweet sorrow about the building conditions but the spirit of the people is truly outstanding. The Cuban Plug is an amazing guide and very informational. Keep up the great works Ace. Looking forward to the next video.
My god bless my Afro Cuban brothers!!!
