It's amazing that it's raised so much already. I've never heard of a sapphic story that's this dark before. Very interesting. I'll be sure to lend my support. Also, animation sounds like the best medium for LGBTQ+ themed projects and stories. I'm on board!

I really hope the extra money from the kickstarter (which will soon be 5x the set goal) will encourage these people to release more of these types of films. LGBT and 2D animations are two things you don't see a lot of these days, and pretty much never together.

It's hard to believe it's been about half a year since you guys showed this trailer. It's actually been a huge inspiration for me to make my own dark horroresque love merfolk love story, and I'm sure it's going to be an even bigger inspiration to more folks when the full film comes out. Tbh I wish y'all had a Discord server cuz I would love to learn to animate like this lol... But anyway, I'm excited to see the finished product! An animation renaissance is absolutely NEEDED in the Philippines entertainment space. It's about damn time something other than crappy-acted soap operas and 3-decade old game shows fills our screens.
Never heard of Studio Heartbreak before but this trailer did get me attention and sparks my interests, given the 2000’s anime esc art style, animation and an in depth LGBT cast. I am just as hopeful for The Lovers as much as I am excited for Transformers: Rise of the Beasts, Across the Spider-Verse and Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning
Absolutely ready to listen to Black Dresses while picturing the emotional arc this film. This is the kind of brutal/beautiful and honest depiction of trauma and codependent destructive relationships that we all deserve. And you can tell that the premise fully came from the heart. The animation industry has been over saturated by contrived concepts which have been alienated from the passion of the artists for far too long! This is precisely what we need. ❤

Me ahogue en un mar de emociones con cada segundo que veía de este trailer. Todo me parece tan caótico y hermoso, pero esa banda sonora y la última frase simplemente me robaron más de un suspiro.
