well even if you don't like football you probably know the Super Bowl is this Sunday and it's often the most watched telecast of the year in the US NFL fans already know why they'll be glued to the screen for everyone else it's about the commercials or the movie trailers that's why we have movie and TV reviewer Mr Sean Chandler joining us to talk all about it Sean welcome back to Eyewitness News uh glad to be back first time back in the year 2024 that's right this is our first time together well
this is a great time because everybody will be glued to the TV screens for the Super Bowl now I have seen rumors about this they've even posted stuff on Twitter or which is now x uh about the Deadpool potential trailer I I believe this is coming tell us about what you think would be in this trailer all right so I was I'm actually going to be in a wedding in Arizona I'm flying Saturday flying back Sunday so I can catch this tra trailer and cover it but so if you don't know this is of course the
third Deadpool film following the two previous hit films the thing that makes it a big deal Hugh Jackman Wolverine is in this movie as the co-lead of the film but you have to remember Ryan Reynolds is very involved in the marketing of his movies so there will probably be some sort of skit with Ryan Reynolds Hugh Jackman joking around and then they'll show us some clips from the movie It's supposed to have all sorts of references to previous X-Men movies Fox Marvel films just poking fun at all th
ese Multiverse movies that have been coming out over the last few years so this is the one everyone is excited to see I I'm excited to see that because I know I have talked with some people they don't even know Wolverine would be even showing back up Hugh Jackman that's that's big I think this would be the biggest talked about commercial I think uh out there um then there was I saw this report and there there's the picture of the uh of the two of them Wolverine and and Deadpool uh we heard that
they been filming the movie Wicked that's the the Wizard of Oz thing do you think we get a trailer for that there's a lot of speculation that we will be getting the trailer for Wicked it's actually Wicked part one they're splitting it into two parts okay it comes out at the end of November so it's way far out it would be a very early teaser but if this is like one of the most iconic musicals of the last 30 years so you want to get that on people's radar as early as possible so there's a lot of s
peculation that we will be getting some sort of wicked te oh you speaking of speculation they already dropped like Paramount I was shocked they dropped this quiet place prequel uh trailer now do you think is that the actual Super Bowl trailer do you think we're gonna get more out of that well so what'll happen with some of these trailers is they'll put the if you're not Deadpool 3 you don't want to be overshadowed by Deadpool 3 so you put yours out a couple days early then the one that runs duri
ng the Super Bowl is kind of the 30 second version cuz it costs what $7 million for every 30 seconds or something like that so they'll say show the 30 second version and say full trailer online but I'm pretty sure they dropped it early for the sole purpose of trying to get ahead of all the Deadpool Buzz that just suck all the air out of the room see this is why we come to you because you have that Insight uh now I know you went to the same high school as actor Glenn pal we had this conversation
here on Eyewitness News he is in the movie Twisters now we've had seen anything about this here's a chance for this movie to be seen for everybody as a weather guy I'd be excited to see Twisters is this do you know if this is anything related to the original twister movie yeah so it is they've kind of played a little bit koi about exactly how it's tied it's not really a remake it's not really a sequel but if you like twister with Bill Paxton now you got one with Glenn Powell coming out now certa
in studios are sitting out the Super Bowl uh Prime video Sony Warner Brothers Netflix but this is a universal film so it's entirely possible it's less than 6 months out and you think who's the audience that wants to see that kind of Carnage destruction when does a Twisters teaser trailer play really nicely Super Bowl a bunch of dudes tackling each other for three hours straight I I really hope so and by the way if if you know Glenn pal says you went to the same high school let them know that we'
