of these any of the baseball that we now do besides major league obviously is the pitch counts so now does the starting pitchers not have to they can't come back today and finish the game right it depends on how many you know you guys are in the thirds it's got to be close to about the number yeah and they both threw a lot of pitches so i would say they're probably both under 60 which means that's a less of a break and this really you know the fact that if gaston burns an arm plus they had to p

it can happen folks because you still got talladega and you got daytona still to go those two races so i mean it could happen you could have 16 winners and some big name could be left out what happens if you have 17 winners uh then you're going to go by points okay of them um atlanta this weekend 101 storylines last race was good at atlanta i liked it uh it was repaved right yep repaved earlier this season uh cup series team participated in a 50-minute practice session before this is a good race
before the first race they got to practice uh they were on participate in a two-round single lap qualifying in this one um atlanta motor speedway has hosted 116 cup races uh they've held two races from 1960 to 2010. this season's renovations marked the track's first repave since 97 and also tightened the corner width from 55 to 40 feet that's that's quite a bit that's good grief that's uh 25 30 almost increased in banking from 24 to 28 degrees let's show that redoing that the last 15 atlanta ra
ces were won by five different organizations so a little bit of everybody wins in atlanta larson uh has led 14 419 laps in atlanta uh goodyear tires blah blah blah i don't really care about that atlanta storylines with the regular season championship up for grabs 15 playoff points on the line the top three drivers are separated by just 35 points in the standing kyle larson is on a 16 race winless streak the longest of his tenure at hendrix uh the pass for the win came in the final 10 laps in 12
of the 18 races in 2022 including the spring race in atlanta 20 different drivers led a lap in the march 20 rate 2022 race the most ever terry is this one that got turned into basically a restrictor plate where they were drafting is this the one that did that i don't remember the first one but i know the first race i mean atlanta's always had good races coming down to the end where just neck and neck for the win but this first race they had in atlanta it was like at daytona everybody was up at t
hat front that's why i said anybody because this is the race that did that now i'm not going to say for sure there was one race remember they switched up and did something to the track and everything else but i know with the new cars brought them all together but uh it was a great race the first one i watched um i'll tell you something interesting i watched the other day um do you know anything about the ernie irvin car that sounded fun or the sterling marlin car that sounded really louder than
everybody else no do you know that story uh kind of just touch on a little bit um when he was driving the yellow four car um they had some guy call them and tell him that he could get extra horsepower for them and again i'm not an expert on this but basically he went under the car and they changed the muffler like a three or four-way muffler or something like that they did something with the pipes underneath and split it up and when marlin qualified in uh daytona everyone thought he was driving
an indy car because of the sound it was making people he said people they said that was a little documenting it people were coming up to the fence the drivers who had just run trying to figure out what was going on on the track they thought they'd put an indy car out there because it's making a totally different sound it was so much louder than everybody else so that was uh i don't know if you heard about that but i thought that was interesting the way how the the the new cars in the old cars ne
ver show them they picked it up and what they did they it was talked about they were the first people that painted everything on the car inside and on everything the time they had they painted black so you couldn't tell you couldn't tell where they were cheating was what they the idea was um and they had to use a specific type of black because it wouldn't get too hot in there and then one of the drivers couldn't take it at all i think it was bobby labonte and they had to make it gray and the cre
w cheat the truth driver their interview and he said i told bobby when we did that it's much harder to hide things in gray than just black but he complained so much we had to do it but they they flipped the car they were showing the pipes and everything how how it made much louder how you could do different adjustments and things it's pretty interesting listen to the cause when he talked about he'd give these psy these sly smiles like you know yeah we do yeah we did that we did like stuff he was
