So guys this is the dark side of L.A, which you'll never get to see in movies or T.V shows. What is that guy doing there, someone must be on drugs. You can see here, there is a lot of drug addicts. What is this guy doing? Here people are living in tent, and every person here is just doing drugs. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ What's up guys? And welcome back to another vlog, now I'm here in Los Angeles, I flew here from New York to L.A yesterday, Firstly I've come here to Beverly Hills. This is the only part of
L.A. where you feel traveling, because many parts of Los Angeles are such where there is a lot of dirt. So I came here in the morning for walk, In my left there is sign of Beverly hills, I'll go inside and show you, and let's roam around in this area, there is sign of Beverly Hills in front of me. It is a very iconic sign, so many people come here to click pictures, This sign was there in GTA 5 too, I don't know what was written on it, because obviously it was not written Beverly Hills, if you
remember then do comment down below, and this is Beverly Hills area, most luxurious area of Los Angeles, now I'll show you by walking, that big bus is going in front, which is hop-on-hop-off bus, I've taken it 1-2 times, this is a great thing if you're a tourist and you don't want to drive on your own, then I think this big bus is a great thing. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ This Beverly Hills area makes you feel like you've come to a rich place, beautiful palm trees everywhere, this is sparkling clean area. If
you'll compare this area from West Hollywood then there is a difference of land and sky. Here I think there are 1-2 hotels in Beverly Hills, but they are most expensive hotels which have 2-3lakh per night, I know one which is Waldorf Astoria. It is obviously the best area to stay but it is so expensive. Look ahead, this palm trees looks so aesthetically pleasing, that if you're living in such area, and you've such huge palm trees in front of your house, then it looks so beautiful. This is that
area of Beverly Hills where you can walk and roam around, but there are many such parts which are gated community where you can't go inside without permission. There I think all the celebrities live, many huge YouTubers also live there, if you want to go into that area of Beverly Hills than you should have some connection, if some of your friend or family lives there then only you can go. See the house in my right, easily these houses are of 15-20 crore, they can cost more, I don't have much ide
a of real estate here. And this Beverly Hills area is so clean because in America, let's say you bought this 15-20 crore house, you bought it in cash but you'll have to give ROE monthly. So if you're living in Beverly hills and you own a 15 crore house, then too you'll have to give $3-4000 monthly that is Rs2.5-3 lakh, just for maintenance and in that this cleaning is included. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ And for the last day I rented this Toyota's Camry, this costed me $50, because here in L.A you can't go a
nywhere without car, even though I was here for one day, and today because it is Sunday, it is written here no payment accepted. Parking are free on Sunday's no matter where you park. This is a great car, I don't think you'll get better car than this in $50, Tesla costed me $180-190, if you see price than this is more worth it. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ I've seen almost everything here in Los Angeles but I think one thing will be interesting for many people. which I haven't covered till now that grocery pri
ces of here in detail, so I'm thinking here in L.A there is a huge Amazon store which is also called world's smartest grocery store, I showed you Amazon Go in San Francisco, but Go stores are comparatively small, in that what you can do is go inside buy something and you can come out. and the main Amazon stores are smart in a different way. That I will show you by going there. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ The Amazon store I'm going to is in North Hollywood, that is why it is hilly road and now I'm in Hollywood
hills, This area North Hollywood, Hollywood Hills this is also a very costly area, because here you can get houses with a good view, in front there is view of whole Los Angeles. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ I got the parking in front of the Amazon store. This big stores of Amazon are called Amazon fresh. Here are these Amazon smart carts in front of and I'll show its use. I was reading on Google that this Amazon stores are the the most cheapest stores. Here in California, and I'll tell you the rates in dollar
. Firstly this kind bar which I liked so much, so let's buy this, this is caramel almond, and this is for $2, so basically you don't have to do anything in this smart cart, as soon as I'll put this 2 chocolates, here it will add automatically in my cart, you can see my total in 398, so you can save so much time in this Amazon store, that pick up whatever you need keep in your cart and take it out. This is the coffee section, you even get Starbucks coffee here. In India you'll have to do to Starb
ucks but because it is so much famous here, that Starbucks' beans, ground coffee, --- you'll get here. All things Starbucks are here. In US there is such big alley of cereals, people eat so much cereals, I'll show you my favourite cereal, if you come to US then do try it, this cinnamon roast crunch, it is very tasty, this one small box is of $6, here people eat pop cart a lot, this is kind of a toast which comes in different flavour. Here in US I liked a Mexican hot sauce, I thinking to buy that
for home, this is the whole section for sauce, this is the one, I'm thinking to buy this for home, this is of $4.70 cent, as soon as I'll keep this inside, here comes the hot sauce and after taking it out it will be gone. Here pre made curry is also available, butter chicken, korma curry, this is for $5.50. And here pre made chicken is also available, $5 for whole chicken. Here comes the fruits and vegetable section, the most expensive thing will be pre cut fruits, let me show you, so basically
this cut watermelon which is around 900 grams, this 900 grams box is of $7.50, Only this much of watermelon. So, cut fruit is very expensive. Here in the U.S., healthy food is even more expensive. If you eat normal food, then it is alright. But healthy food is quite expensive. Mango is still relatively cheap. Each mango costs Rs.80. Because all of these are imported from Mexico. I found this really interesting thing in front. This entirely is a salad bar. Here, the salad is for $8 per 600gms. S
o, 1 kg is for $11. And they have kept all the vegetables from A-Z in a very organized way. If you want to eat salad, it will be expensive. It will cost you for around $11-12. But you will get everything. Over there, everything from Quinoa, mozzarella, tomatoes, everything, all types of sauces. So, you can make a really great salad if you want to prepare a healthy salad. Even eggs, chicken, salsa. So these boxes are kept like this. You can make the salad as per your choice and then you can pay a
ccording to the weight. Here, even the beer is quite expensive. The most famous beer of here is this Modelo. It's a beer from Chicago. So, a pack of 6 of this is worth $10. So, each beer will cost you $1.5. It is not that expensive. But still, it's a quite small bottle. A small bottle of water by Aquafina is for $2. Such a small bottle of water for Rs.160. This is a normal Dairy milk. It is for $2 and 70 cents. That is for Rs.250. And this is their most famous chocolate of San Francisco, Ghirard
elli. This is for $3 and 30 cents. Here, even fresh Pizza is available. Each slice for $2. And this is really nice. If you want to eat something while shopping, then you can buy a pizza slice for $2. So guys, this was the complete Amazon fresh store. And its smart shopping experience is really very convenient. You just need to go inside using your Amazon store account. Buy anything and you can directly go outside. This saves a lot of time. Because the most time is taken on the checkout counters.
So, these guys have come up with this really great solution. I would definitely recommend this if you are coming here. Any city where there is an Amazon Fresh store. So, definitely try this experience on your own for once. And now I have decided to go to that part of L.A., which many people won't show you. Which you won't get to watch on the T.V. and all. You won't get to watch it in movies. To be honest, L.A. is one of those cities where there is the most dense homeless population here in Amer
ica. So, I'm thinking of seeing that area once also show you guys that part of America which we don't get to see in the movies. The name of that place is Skid Row. It is a neighborhood in Los Angeles near the downtown. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ So, I had just arrived here in Skid Row and this is the first thing that I got to see. You can see here in right how much trash is lying just like this. So guys, from here this Skid Row area begins. And now you can see the tent in front. I mean it's even scary to wat
ch. It's just like the slums. I haven't seen this in any of the cities. And this is exactly downtown Los Angeles. It's not like this is some part in the outer region. And a lot of people are strolling as well. Even I want to park the car and stroll around. That one guy over there is trying to do something by taking out something from the trash. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ In this area, I can't even keep my jacket inside the car. You never know if someone might break the window even for just a jacket. It's jus
t the camera and all these things kept here. I'll just walk for around 5-7 minutes. I am even scared of taking my phone out. So, I'll try to film a little. But I won't film too much openly. You never know of the people here. So, you can see the downtown is right in front of me. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ So guys see in front what that man is doing. He's definitely on some drugs. So guys, this is that dark side of L.A., which you will never get to watch in movies or in T.V. shows. I mean just look at the cont
rast. On one side there is Beverly Hills. Such a rich and luxurious area. And then you have this. Tents, slums, dirt, drugs. People have vomited everywhere. There is shit lying on road. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ So, you can see there are so many drug addicts here. I don't know what this man is doing in front. And obviously, as a travel vlogger, I mostly try to show you the good things, the positive things of a city. But if this is also a part of this, then you must know. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ So, before going to th
e airport, I have come here to Santa Monica Pier one last time to watch the sunset. Then from here, I have to go directly to the airport. Return the car. And it's a direct 13 hour long flight from here to Warsaw, Poland. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ Right now, this pier looks even more beautiful. Right in front of me is the Pacific Ocean and Santa Monica hills. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ In California, at the time of sunset, because it is in the West Coast, the sky turns completely orange. So, I can say that you will get t
o see the world's best sunsets only here. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ The level of crowd here is different because of Sunday. So there are only a couple of spots here in Los Angeles which are the most famous for the sunset. You can either come here. There is also one Griffith Park from where the Hollywood sign and downtown Los Angeles is visible. Other than that, there is one Manhattan Beach pier here. That too is on this Pacific Coast highway. You can either go to Point Dume, Malibu. šŸŽµ (Music) šŸŽµ

Of late, I have developed a fancy for Indian travel vloggers for their insightful and adventurous coverage of the little known places or the little known aspects of the popular spaces.You are one of those vloggers whom I like and regularly watch. As a long standing media person, I must say that your vlogs are both informative and insightful and have a touch of sophistication in presentation. Keep up the good work. Best wishes.

@saiyanfriendshekhar5832

seeing these vlogs of foreign countries make me feel relieved n grateful for living in India

@r65400

Europe and Scandinavian countries have always fascinated me more than the US. Their architecture, roads, cafes everything is aesthetic and gives a sense of peace. All the shooting incidents happening lately in the US have made it all really scary( They happen pretty much everyday, he has shown only one fourth of it) . A lot of people are now considering European countries as an option. Atleast you don't have to worry about people carrying guns openly. The craze about USA is real in India lol.

@utkarshkunwar4319

Thanks for this content Ishan! Goes to show how media, content creators have a made a mission to never miss a single opportunity to portray India as a filthy nation when they themselves have so much of shit to deal with! Biasness should always be minimised as much as possible!

Enjoying this Vlog as a die hard GTA fan. And the sign in GTA as a Parody of Beverley Hills says "Rockford Hills" šŸ˜€. And every other thing about the city had me excited as it is so close to the game. Or I guess the game is close to reality.

Thanks for showing the reality of this nation, which treats us Indians as third world people, whereas their own country has so much of inflation and reeling under extreme poverty, one positive thing i just realised about India is that even if there are poor people in India, Indians irrespective of their economic background have the spirit to hard work, grow and get out of the poverty trap, whereas look at the worst condition in their country, these people have just got them selves into drugs and given up on their lives but dont want to be hardworking and get independent, today I have one more solid reason to be proud of my Incredible country India! I love love my India!
