hello and welcome to episode one our introduction i am very happy to finally launch this podcast
as it has been on my mind for several years let me tell you how this started i was hurt sick
and tired of the labels that had been forced upon me my whole life starting
with the name of this
lovely podcast the smart black girl that was the first label given to me by adults as well as
my peers and the piling never stopped you know i wanted to create a space for me and my mind to
roam free so here we have it it is my safe space it can be yours too if you want to join me
really i don't mind i'm finally free and maybe i can help free you as well see you
