The Templin Institute

1 day ago

A long time ago in a galaxy far far away, Rebel Alliance fought to overthrow the Galactic Empire,while the remnants of the Jedi and Sith struggled to bring balance to the force. And for a time, this was good. Things made sense. But the more of this galaxy we actually see, from the glory days of the High Republic, through to the Clone Wars, and into the Rise and Fall of the First Order, the less things make sense. There are contradictions, severe and prolonged lapses of logic, and a lot of the de
tails and lore, is just kinda uninteresting or kinda stupid. And while the Templin Institute never enjoys passing judgment on an entirely reality, in this episode of Incoming, we need to admit that the universe of Star Wars, just doesn't work. And right away, I think it comes down to five major reasons, the first has to do with Uh, we really shouldn’t be messing with that. Uh no. No No please, no We all promised we would never do this. This isn’t gonna be good This isn’t gonna be good. I feel we
’ve said it all before, That the First Order Doesn’t Work Theirs plans are dumb, Starkiller’s lame While Snoke rules like a jerk Somehow Palpatine returned And the backlash is intense, What can I say. Star Wars makes no sense. The New Republic’s even worse Ask any demographist Their Senate sits in silence While Syndulla is a fascist. Her stupid’s kid’s annoying And really not that bright Don’t ratio me on twitter, You know I’m right, Even the spaceship battles are bad now Every show kinda makes
me mad now. Kinda, creepy, but Stephen’s right. All this new stuff is just so lame. I mean are we really supposed to believe that following their victory over the Empire the New Republic adopted a fusion of powers with a weak executive? I hope someone got fired over that one. And everything else sucks too. Thrawn is now a moron Boba Fett talks way too much Kenobi was a waste of time And Bad Batch probably sucks. The Acolyte looks boring And Rogue Sqaudron’s is a mess. Since the glory days of Sta
r Wars, Things have regressed. Now hold the darn phone just a second there Marc, I don’t think even you believe half the stuff you’re saying. All Star Wars is bad now? Really? I’m sorry Alex, that’s just how I feel, I think I’ve pretty upfront about it. What about the High Republic? Terrible! What about Ahsoka? Pointless! What about Andor? Anime noise You loved Andor Marc, in fact I don’t think anyone loved Andor more than you. Weren’t you the one saying Syril Karn was basically your life story?
No, not exactly I Deep down, you still love Star Wars, search your feelings, you know it to be true. Shit, he’s right. This is his revenge for all those arguments he lost. Okay, so maybe the very nature of Star Wars, a multimedia franchise spanning not only movies, games, tv, but multiple generations of fans, makes it inevitable that not everyone is going to enjoy every piece of media. And that’s okay. So the movies aren’t all great Or every series free from flaws They can’t all be like Andor W
here every scene deserves applause. It’s a waste of time to whine and pout Unless that’s your career It is for us, so please subscribe, while you’re here. There is nothing like Andor Nothing in the world There is nothing I adore, More than everything in Andor. There are no books like Andor Nothin’ looks like Andor. No one no drinks like Andor No one thinks like Andor. No one acts like Andor Or attracts like Andor. There aint’ a damn thing wrong with Star Wars lore, That can’t be fixed by watchin
g Andor The fascist murdering, crooked cop killing, Andoooooooooooooooooor!!!!! Holy shit we’re never doing this again.

@chickynugs

Finally someone sticking it to the woke mob and Woke-Disney corporation. Thank you for making this very rational and non-musical statement.

@davidthewhale7556

I cannot wait to see the comments section here in a couple years when everyone reads the title and is too lazy to check the release date and assume it’s genuine

@Lichcrafter

No one's slick as Andor No one's quick as Andor No one's neck's as incredibly thick as Andor's

@vovacat1797

I mean, duh it doesn't work. Anyone who's heard of the concept of "Economic repercussions of the destruction of the Death Star" knows it well. We still enjoy it anyway.

@lordhosk

Not a single comment about how a meal costs 500 credits, a bounty is 5000 credits a starfighter costs 50000 credits and a capital ship costs 5000000 credits? So a Star Fighter costs 100 meals, and a capital ship costs 10,000 nerf burgers and fries?

@Crazael

Okay, this is legit the best April Fools thing I've seen all day...

@Level_1_Frog

I get that this is an April Fool's joke, but it's actually true. It's a series that has some iconic imagery and decades of pop culture domination, and that's basically all it offers me.

@talos2384

The last thing I expected from this channel was a musical and that mark is actually good at singing. What a pleasant surprise

@trygveplaustrum4634

Gilbert and Sullivan present “Pirates of Penzance,” or “The Slave I of Duty.”

@CynUnion-ji9uj

I hope next year we get a Gilbert and Sullivan-esq explanation of why star trek doesn't work

@KedAR_48

The fact, that Templin didn't mention Clone Wars or Rebels just cements, how good these shows are. Andor

@EGRJ

A musical? "The horror...the horror..."

@andrewupshall5506

I once made a petition to have all of Star Wars media pivot and become centered around and styled like Andor. I am now making a petition to have all Templin Institute videos be big musical numbers.

@baronjutter

I thought this was April fools but every lyric is 100% true

@Neoth40k

H-HOW DARE YOU say something like that! If it's with Disney's Canon and the Legends post-Vong War galaxy, I agree

@kiljadaen

I don't know.....he's still pretty vague about his feelings on Andor.

@cmedtheuniverseofcmed8775

"What's your favorite space series? Star Trek or Star Wars?" Me: "The Expanse." "But if you could choose Star Trek or Star Wars, which would it be? Me: "The Orville."

@occultatumquaestio5226

Huh, Marc surprisingly has a decent singing voice. And I sense that Marc may like the Andor TV show. Quite the melodic April Fools video. Neat to see SWE also make a cameo.

@thedorklord1029

Judging by the fact that there is no link to the background music for the song, the conclusion I have come to is that the Templin Institute (and possibly Star Wars Explained) composed this masterpiece themselves, and I'm all for it.

@juliovictormanuelschaeffer8370

It's a miracle the SW universe didn't fall into the 40K phase, with every side building and using their own superweapons like they were snowballs.
