Maybe some people are forgetting what TED stands for: Technology, Education, Design. This TEDtalks is HIGHLY relevant to education and educators. Joe Sabia presents a creative way for students to show evidence of what they have learned in a new and dynamic way using technology. The idea of a story travels across curricular disciplines because a story is one of the MOST ENGAGING ways to pass on information - and the oldest one at that. Don't under-estimate the power of a story.

Current mediums for storytelling are not sacrosanct. Good job underscoring the emerging techniques for storytelling at our disposal. There are some very interesting tales yet to come.

@MrAusdrifter it's because the first 15 seconds has a ridiculously high volume compared to the actual talk so people put it up to avoid volume shock when wearing headphones.
honestly when i hear him talk with his face its not as attractive but when i hear his voice alone its very nice
So he knows how to access his apps in order. We are still in the earliest phase of these technologies and it will be some time before we move from a derivative collage (not a story) like this to actual creative and original use of new media. I only hope there are still people around with the attention span to appreciate it when it comes along. Right now many (certainly not all) students confuse stringing together media they found on Google with thorough exploration and understanding of a topic.
Why all the dislikes? This guy is brilliant!
Better communication is, to me, what will ultimately revolutionize thinking and save mankind. Sooo, yeah, I enjoyed this video.
