The Wild Boar and the Fox In the heart of the forest,
a wild boar busied himself, sharpening his formidable tusks
against the sturdy trunk of a tree. Observing the boar's task,
a wily fox approached, curiosity gleaming in his eyes. “Why do you sharpen your tusks,
my friend?” Inquired the fox. Surely there are no hunters lurking nearby and no imminent danger
threatens us in this tranquil forest. “Indeed. You speak the truth.” Replied the boar, pausing in his task to address the fox. “But I sharpe
ned my tusks,
not for the present moment, but for the unforeseen perils
that may lie ahead when danger strikes. I must be prepared to defend myself
without delay. There will be no time to sharpen
my tusks then.” Reflecting on the boars words, the fox acknowledged the wisdom in his preparation. Though the forest seemed peaceful
now, danger could descend upon them in an instant,
catching them unawared. As the boar resumed his task
with renewed determination, the fox silently vowed to heed
the less
