I didn't think this had to be a theory.. When I saw it in 2012 I thought that was a given and very obvious. The engineers are the Anunaki its pretty easy to tell

Ok you hands down make the best theory/lore videos. It’s short simple to the point and has excellent visuals. I definitely would subscribe if you do this with all things. The length is awesome because you don’t beat around the bush for 1 hour.
You were right, the director of Prometheus admitted in an interview that it was based on Jesus & the bible.
Great theory, unfortunately it is a crying shame that Alien Covenant failed to deliver on any explanation and made the franchise even more confusing and convoluted. If Alien Covenant had further explored the mythology and story line behind Prometheus it would have broadened our understanding of what Ridley Scott was trying to achieve. Alas he made to many plot mistakes.

Sure wish I could draw like that. Brilliant. As to the theory, heard the same stuff on numerous other "Prometheus / Covenant" speculation videos. Much of what was said in here was tossed around in the "making of" documentary for Prometheus. Prometheus was loaded with religious themes and symbols and Riddley Scott said this was very intentional. I.E. Genisis theory. Best part of this vid was watching the artist draw....and his completed artwork.
Please tell us that you're working on an Alien: Covenant theory with this mind blowing art format.
You must have missed the interview with Ridley Scott where he discusses this as the original idea. However, he decided not to go with Jesus being an Engineer so changed the script but left the 2,000 year bit in. So the reason as to why they decided to wipe us out is still a mystery which he may or may not divulge in later movies.
This theory was scrapped by Scott because it was "too on the nose". It was revealed shorty after Prometheus was released.

I loved Prometheus for the great SyFy movie that it is, mainly because of the content and storyline in which a seldom asked question is put out for movie goers to contemplate, where did we (humankind) come from? Philosophically it depends on ones upbringings. What we grew up believing in has a very deeply rooted relationship in whatever your parents told you because of their belief until you begin to question this for yourself. Prometheus goes a step further by exploring the idea that we might have had this answer right in front of us, from the past. The paintings on walls of caves around the world that literally 'points' to the stars as having the answers. Is it coincidence or as Dr. Shaw would say, "an invitation". There is a bigger answer than just who created humankind, we are given many hypotheses but the main thread that runs through Prometheus is literally the reason for our existence is attributable to our beliefs in a "higher power", a God. These religious symbolisms weave in and around the clues that are explored by the main scientists, Dr. Holoway and Dr. Shaw, the latter of which was singled out by Weyland as "a true believer". This fact about her was a very important connection which is seen throughout the movie and begs for recognition which, to me, is a core belief that gives your findings another way into the this theory of why Prometheus is much more than just another "Alien" movie. It gives us a lot more to think about and you have found that true connection which is the reason this is such a great movie. You leave that movie with far more to think about than you maybe expected to because you were waiting for a Xenomorph to bust out of that dead "Engineer". See it really was a prequel to the Alien franchise, just with more to think about and to me, that set Prometheus apart from "just another Alien movie".
