Battle of Britain all of them initiated by Hitler himself now one document which was issued before the Battle of Britain clearly says that Hitler does not want to Target civilians the second document was issued just before the bombing of London Hitler is furious that the Germans have not maintained air superiority even gained it over Great Britain and then the third document the third document is from Hitler just before the attack ends and he's giving his reasons for backing off on subjugating
Great Britain at least for the moment I'd like to share these documents with my colleagues you you mean you do not have these documents no I have not and the fact that you have them to me it's extraordinary how about we work on this thing together indeed foreign water I know you're thirsty you can go back to sleep after this very good one should be here in a little while good morning Mr chabrowski good morning nurse Marie I hope your day is going well honestly I'm still worried about this boy we

g a thousand bombers originally I had thought that if we could get close to 850 planes I would still call it a thousand plane rate primarily for the headlines and morale obviously however now it appears that we no longer have to overestimate airplane numbers because we have achieved that goal how are you able to do that the Wellington program well it foreign [Music] thank you [Music] [Music] foreign I remember something in the briefing about that uh two engines like a big glider it's a kite with
engines but we'll do the job how many of those Styles and planes are Wellington a little over 600 how did you do that available materials well more importantly how are you able to do that with the attack going on in London most of them were not assembled in London quite a number were assembled in Ireland Scotland bonds warehouses wherever I must say what an extraordinary feat of organization the people working with me on this a quite industrious indeed but now as I recall the Wellington does no
t have a large payload at all right you are that's why we primarily are planning to use incendiaries incendiaries well now what would be your target Hamburg or secondarily cologne depending on the weather so by targeting a city what you'll do is create a mirror image of what happened here in London with your civilian population major the English people are perceived as being a very patient not have that patience has run out the English people now seek retribution good evening do you have a dark

re meeting with major Thompson I would like for you to take a look at the aircraft that your men will be working with it's called the Wellington [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign foreign Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe Joe oh my God are you okay Joe your stomach hurts are you hurting here you're good at home well boy let's go get you something to eat foreign do you mean he walked to the Loo by himself yes he did no trouble walking not that I saw what was he doing when you found him standing on a stool
what was he doing on a stool looking at himself in the mirror did you have to help him down no he swayed a little bit when he stepped down but he recovered jolly good news what about the respiratory ailments that the others are complaining about is this young man affected no I isolated him that was a good move on your part thank you might be able to get me some help in here [Music] Nursery I don't know I know you've been holding this down primarily by yourself but the war effort is pulling more

comfort I encamp densy is but they are in a Royal Air Force but there is shrine just me Henry thank you I had an interesting day I fetched a sandwich before I went in and ran into Charlie you mean Charlie from the pub indeed he told me about last Friday about what he says some new Flyers came in and all you could do was raise your voice and make them feel unwelcome what business Charlie got reporting to you what I'm saying he's just worried about you Henry that's all yeah well welcome to me Frid
ay marked one year yeah since we lost our boy Georgie feeling like a like a move beyond that now and I don't want to move beyond that I understand not knowing is incredibly painful remember we can talk about anything anytime you need sorry I I ain't been listening to your broadcasts I said I would and I ain't picked up on a German I promised you I would 20 years ago when we married here we go again [Music] you know what I ought to hate Germany I really should but they come up with you didn't the
y [Music] Gotta Give them that [Music] so Colonel Dennis Andre please Andre it is now air marshall Wilkins gave you a look today at the Wellington what did you think of it yes and I found it to be quite geometric it's so right you are major Thompson has likened it to a kite with engines if that is an accurate description then the plane could Glide a great distance in case of engine failure it certainly could did you get a chance to sit in the pilot seat and get that view yes and I was amazed eve
rything was so so new as a matter of fact that particular Wellington rolled off of assembly approximately two weeks ago the design and everything is so new please understand that when Germany invaded my homeland we fought back with what you call antiques what do you think these new planes will be a problem with your Pilots quite the opposite they would love it especially yourself leader and perhaps our best pilot but I do have a technical question and that is understanding the relatively light p
ayload 4500 kilos and that's about average for a light bomber but considering the design of the Wellington I was thinking that it could have another usage it's quite astute and perceptive a squadron of wellingtons is being outfitted for launching torpedoes a new mission for an aircraft that can fly low and slow submarine Hunter yes but this is a bombing mission we have some of our new lancasters which are four engine bombers but the majority of the planes in this Mission will be wellingtons and
the number will probably be close to 600. Marshall in total how many bombers do you intend on sending on this mission I think that the number will probably top out at around a thousand that is astounding well we would hope with the raid of this magnitude that would be able to bring an early end of the war but if this does not occur then what will happen as you heard the year Marshall say the production of the Lancaster is going at Full Steam and certainly we plan to send over as many heavy bombe
rs as we can as soon as we can beginning early next year so I would imagine a year from now these guys over here will be filled with heavy bombers from the RAF from the Army Air corps Andre as I mentioned yesterday we are already planning further strikes against Germany Beyond this first massive raid using your wellingtons and Crews like yours good evening Mr trick is this one of your Pilots yes one of our best Joseph Squadron leader oh Charles did you hear that Squadron leader no less squadrons

w are you today well we'll get you you must be feeling better oh yes I have no fever and I got some wonderful news today tell me more well you're wonderful RAF has given me an opportunity and this man right here that you are looking at will get to fly again I see so back in Poland you were a pilot I was and your Royal Air Force is giving me an Aussie as a refugee pilot a chance to fly again because they've lost so many pilots in this battle for Britain so has Poland and everywhere else those Naz
i Devils have touched I imagine you'll need a work release for the service I I will need one yes and after you give me what I intend to go for a very nice walk and I'm going to smile at everyone I see and I'm sure you'll find your way to a pub how's that that sounds like a great idea you'll need a follow-up next week whatever you think is necessary nurse Marie ah talking [Music] yeah kind enough to take us on now I remember why I hate to pose because they don't know when to keep their mouths shu

of the good father once more what's up when my boys take off for that mission I want to be on that Airfield watching them leave and I would also like to be there when they return you've got to have a long way Andre I will have my wife to speak with with your permission of course most certainly foreign I understand you have an emergency matter to discuss yeah we have received information that the large iaf formation is in the air and headed towards Germany that is their target at first we thought
it was Hamburg but the wasn't Hamburg is not ideal for this type of rate so we don't believe that's a Target the British would know this you think they will strike well don't worry it won't be here in Boolean the RF doesn't have enough long-range bombers to launch such a large rate here what precautions are you taking well of course everyone is on high alert on the under aircraft batteries of course and bf109s are ready to respond immediately how many bombers do you think they have our operativ
es have lost count I do not stand has a British are able to man so many planes we shut down so many of their aircraft yeah they've recruited them from the refugees that they evacuated at Dunkirk but nationality are these refugees well it varies but the majority of the pilots are Poors dirty poles [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] got the chatter [Music] [Music] Ley foreign I offered you friendship I invited you to share in our Triumph and you have betrayed your ancestry you have made an alliance
with these dirty polls how could you Finn will you learn that polishness equals sub-humanity suppose the Jews and the gypsies are on the same inferior level would you think you could deceive us we are watching you we follow your moves we know that your aircraft are coming towards us but it is not too late turn back turn back now I hope you will listen to me but if you do not I shall tell you of what will happen if you drop one bomb on German territory Holland is ours we shall exact our Justice
upon the entire population upon all those families and friends of those in your planes are most efficient they shall cleanse the east of seaspermit captain this is navigations 20 minutes to Target [Music] [Music] thank you foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] thank you [Music] thank you [Music] yesterday [Music] foreign foreign [Music] [Music] tell us [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] [Music] foreign [Music] and that's what we want I cannot believe this actually happened
on German soil yeah and by the time of your next broadcast I'll have an assessment of the damage but it is substantial yeah it is I have many friends in Cologne they attended the University I've visited them many times it was so beautiful yeah go with your personal angle that works best it is personal now [Music] foreign [Music] that woman is on broadcast again [Music] after your brutal Devastation of cologne are you proud of yourself that you slaughtered so many civilians [Music] would never e
ngage in such dishonorable Warfare during the Blitzkrieg the only raided military and Industrial targets but you deliberately attacked cologne a beautiful historic City it's University it's art and architecture were renowned it had no fortifications no soldiers most of the men what are they fighting the inhabitants for women children in the elderly how could they do you any harm and yet you flew in and launched your explosives your incendiary bombs right into the residential areas the people wer
e engulfed into spreading flames and they burned alive so many innocent lives were lost and so many more of a left wounded there's no place to live you destroyed three thousand buildings home hospitals museums churches schools stores less than 10 for any kind of military function we will never forget this did you think that you would break us you have underestimated the will of the German people they are far stronger than you can ever imagine we will fight until the Victory Is Ours a resounding
success congratulations have you seen any initial numbers on losses yet just coming in it appears that it's going to be around four to five percent much better than our boys in Tokyo do you think this will help you achieve your major goal that Germany will see you can nearly destroy a major city in one night and want an early end of the war major I don't know it may simply strengthen the resolve of the germs but one thing we do know is that they now know that they are vulnerable and whatever dea
th and destruction they pour down on us will get poured down on them in return host taste now it looks like we're the only people left in the building they're all out celebrating and I am too in my own way I have a request may I call you wrong why certainly what can I do for you I would like for us to have future meetings at my personal residence um are you a drinking man may I call you Malcolm certainly I really have a fondness for Brandy myself it just so happens that at my residence I have a
healthy supply of Brandy but also quite a substantial amount of cognac foreign begging to be consumed [Laughter] [Applause] all right [Music] three cheers for the Polish Air Force [Applause] all right and switches hey [Music] yep all right thank you good morning you must be the Drakes yes Henry and Margaret please sit down I have a couple of forms for you to fill out of course I bet you've been waiting a long time for this day you have no idea when do I get to see my boy we'll go see him after w
