You know the funny thing? The fridge in the basement is 30 years old and it still works.

@1011skarn

Our parents and grandparents owned the same appliances for 30 years. If something went wrong, the repairman came to fix it. This crap is made to past a few years, and then force you to buy service agreements or new ones to make them rich and you poor.

@grambothelegend7388

Our Samsung refrigerator has plagued us with random loss of temp for two years! Samsung just about made a grown man cry jumping through their hoops to get a refund. And the refund was far less than the retail price for the original unit. Our household has a lifetime ban on Samsung now.

@yukosimms2951

I wish I read these comments before my husband and I purchased their "higher end" fridge that broke down in a little over 1 year. We could buy 2 units of simpler type of fridge from another company with no problem perhaps over 5 years. Learned our hard lesson being faced with their bad customer services and our melting food items. Sad, and angry now, but we are ready to move on.

@karlabanks4908

Wow! I’m so sick of these companies who say they care about their customers but not doing a thing about it!🤬

@missingpiece2071

I refuse to buy any Samsung product ever again, I own one of these junk refrigerators and they have lost me as a customer because of how we were treated by Samsung trying to get fixed.

@shannoncarter9265

I’m literally at Best Buy as we speak to return our fridge. The refrigerator part literally freezes everything. We’ve have FOUR people come out to look at it and nothing changed

@rastabastard1321

I would avoid buying Samsung at all cost. Got myself refridgerator that makes sounds louder than my 21 year old refridgerator and customer service is simply terrible. They claim it is feature rather than bug and basicaly told me that they dont care at all about noise and my satisfaction. Feel free to Youtube it and think is this device something uou want in your house Avoid Samsung at all cost

@Loghome55

We purchased a beautiful 28 cu ft French Door Samsung with dual icemakers (1 up top in fridge and 1 down bottom in freezer). The top ice maker quit approximately 3 years after we purchased fridge. Thankfully, we purchased the extended 5 year warranty which allowed the repair man to come 3 - 4 times with replacing the whole ice maker as the final resort. Still did not make ice. Fast forward to less than one year after the 5 year extended expired (still not making ice) and the beautiful, like brand new 5.5 to 6 year old fridge is sitting on our deck waiting to be hauled off to the dump. It completely died after making some very strange noises. We were so discouraged after spending several thousand dollars on it that we went to HD and purchased a $600-$700 old fashioned style Frigidaire after getting sage advise from a veteran kitchen cabinet designer. She told us Samsung and LG are one of the worst appliances on the market for longevity and are only getting worse. We will never buy Samsung again.

@mikef6581

I spent $3500 for a Samsung refrigerator in July of 2018. Today June 15th, 2022, I had mine hauled off as scrap metal. The repair tech told me 1900$ to replace the compressor that broke after less than 4 years.

@raymartinezjr7235

We had the same situation happen to us. After having to pay over $400 for the first service guy to fix out SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR, NOW it just wont stay cold enough to keep food on either side. It was problem after problem. I contacted Samsung multiple times, and we got NO help. WE WILL NEVER BUY A SAMSUNG REFRIGERATOR OR APPLIANCE AGAIN. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!

@medusax4883

My sister had 3 Samsung items in the house: a washing machine and 2 computer screens. Only one screen is working properly. 2 out of 3 items were faulty. The probability for faulty stuff is quite high.

@YajairaM

Wow I thought I was the only one having these issues with the same brand and model refrigerator! Icemaker has been not working ever since we first bought it about 3 to 4 years ago. This is a very frustrating situation with the refrigerator over all.

@user-ct3cs7se8b

Add me to this horrific experience. I wish that I never laid eyes on a Samsung refrigerator. I thought they were the best ever, but now I would advise anyone NOT to purchase Samsung. Sad thing is I have Samsung everything. ( Complete nightmare with my refrigerator)

@MagicFilms1

I can’t believe how the authorities don’t want to do anything with this, 🤬😡😤

@guineapigzed

Good phones Bad refrigerators

@shall6967

So ridiculous. Literally the worst company to deal with ever. Our fridge is 6 mos old and it gets so hot on the outer box, randomly, that you can't touch it. Samsung can't find a problem. We sent videos and everything. Burning smell stinks up the house. Samsung specialty claims is a joke. They seriously do not care at all. Last night we finally gave up and purchased a new refrigerator for our sanity..lesson learned. They lost us as a customer for life. Electronics, cellphones, appliances...DONE

@terry94131

When I bought my house a year ago, it came with a "suite" of Samsung appliances. The dishwasher died last summer, replaced by an American brand. The electric range burners work intermittently and the controls are both confusing and difficult to modulate. My fridge makes ice when it feels like it and the freezer is so cold that the ice cream is like a brick, even at the warmest setting. Terrible products.

@milehunter227

My defrost coil heats, but gets too hot (400+F), so any melting ice dripped on the defrost heating element and instantly evaporated. This caused high humidity in the refrigerator, and thus contributed to once again icing up the coils, rather than the water dripping into the hole. My fix was to add a $5 12v temp controller to the 12v line that turns on the defrost heating element, and set it to cycle off and on to keep the element closer to 200F. Now humidity stays 40% to 60% vs 80 to 100%. The coils stay defrosted without build up, and it stops the viscous high humidity cycles that end up freezing to the fan. If the element temperature is limited to a lower temp, it won’t fail as often. Drip water drops on your 400F oven element to see what is happening as a test, then try again when set to under 200F.

@Rich-kp1eu

My refrigerator makes knocking sound, twice, every five seconds. It did this for four days, and quit working altogether. Everything in the freezer and refrigerator, I had to throw out. I called a repair person, they unplugged it, plugged it back in, and it started cooling again. That was about two months ago. Now, it is making the knocking sound again.
