Chloe, the clown fish, Sydney, the seahorse,
and Jazz, the jellyfish. Miss Tilly, The sea turtle
was there to watch over them and keep them safe. Their favorite game
to play was fin palm. Little Finny was having
a hard time hitting the ball over the net, even
though he tried his best. His fins were just too small. He felt a little sad
and disappointed. Miss Tilly saw that
Finny
was feeling unhappy, so she swam over to him. What's wrong, Finny? she asked. Oh, Miss Tilly, no matter
how hard I try, I can't hit the ball over the net. I'm just not big enough. I think I'm too small. But Miss Tilly had a
surprise for Finny. You're not too small at
all, Finny, she said. In fact, you're the perfect
size for you right now. When you get a little
older, you'll grow bigger and stronger. Just like your friends did. Omari looked around at their
friends and said to Finny, We wer
e all smaller when we
were younger, but then we grew, and now we're bigger. Finny was surprised
to learn this. He did not know that he would
grow bigger as he got older. Really, he asked? Yes, really, Ms. Tilly replied. There's also something you
can do to help yourself grow. Eat healthy vegetables. Vegetables will give you the
energy and vitamins to help your body grow big and strong. Finny wasn't sure he wanted
to eat vegetables, but he was willing to try anything
to get better at fin pong. Ok
ay, I'll be brave and
give them a try, he said. Vinny and his friends ate all
of their vegetables every day. He thought the vegetables
tasted pretty delicious. He said, I feel a
little bit stronger. He was still small, but
he was now big enough to hit the ball over the net. Now when the friends play
fin pong, Finny hits the ball over the net more and more. He didn't always get the ball
over, but he was having fun trying and getting better. From then on, Finny made
sure to eat all of his vegetabl
es every day. As he grew bigger and
stronger, he became one of the best fin pong players
at Treasure Chess Park. His friends were so proud of
him, and so was Miss Tilly. See, Finny, she said, I
told you that you were the perfect size for you. You ate your vegetables,
took care of your body, and you kept trying. You can do anything
you set your mind to. Finny smiled and gave
Miss Tilly a big hug. He was so happy to be
growing stronger and learning new things. He learned that trying
new things and
believing in himself, he could do
