s or even breaking down some cheap gear to get you started and the first tripod i want to talk about and just so you know we'll post links down to everything down in the description below but the first trap i want to talk about is this one that comes in at 13.99 it's a very simple kind of monopod style tripod but it has three legs at the bottom of the tripod and really the first thing to note is that there's four levels of length and so it has a locking mechanism that allows you to extend it and
this goes up to 67 inches which is taller than your boy like that's like legit taller than me which is insane but what an incredible value of a tripod what i've noticed about this tripod too is although this is tall and i probably wouldn't put the tripod this high because it's fairly thick that is t-h-i-c-c just kidding actually thick but because it has like some like girth i don't know oh no omar it's going bad as if you have your smartphone on this the top weight of your smartphone doesn't ma
ke it too wobbly which i've learned in the past with other ones that i've tried out it does make it too wobbly but this is really good if you plan on making stationary videos this works perfectly fine and just being able to know that you have that height it's really nice this does come with the smartphone clamp itself and i personally like the fact that it's a retractable one it's kind of like a quicker way other ones i'll show you in the later in this video have like a screwing mechanism but th
is is nice you just put in your phone and it's good to go i also like that there's a cold shoe mount on the top of this so if you want to put a wireless mic or you want to put a shotgun mic or even a light you can do so and it also comes with a bluetooth remote so if you want to start and stop record or maybe take pictures however i wouldn't say this is the most portable out of the three the next tripod that i want to break down is the most portable and probably the most cool looking tripod and
that is the tone of 60 inch tripod yes this is a tripod ruby i'm at the park trying to do this thing trying to youtube but my daughter is being a knucklehead okay this is a 30 tripod but when i bought this and i think at the time of shooting this there's a discount so anytime you see the option to click the box where it would take off some off of the price so i essentially got this for around 23 with that discount and this is the most unassuming tripod it's kind of like the men in black thing wh
ere you like press it and then you can like zap somebody's memory but the way this works is it literally has a push button at the bottom and then it pops out the front and the bottom or the top and the bottom and it's so sleek it locks into place and then you can extend it as needed and literally the built-in phone clamp is just right there and same like the other one has a retractable setup and but you know what i mentioned about the height and the height being kind of like wobbling because it'
s thin so this would be something i would encourage to use if you uh maybe put this on a desk so you can have less wobble or shake but i think when it comes to like you know portability this one crushes and like the other one it does come with a bluetooth remote but i like how this one particularly is built in so you can uh you know pop this out but yeah just a nice little cute little thing uh remote if you want to start and stop recording or take photos but we were just in disneyland and anytim
e they see kind of like a selfie stick or something they asked does this uh extend but if you pack this sucker up like so dude nobody even knows this is a tripod and you're like you can hide this in your bag not to say you should break the rules when you go to disneyland but this is the tone of tripod i think a great option if you're looking for something that travels really well the next tripod i want to talk about is this compact manfrotto aluminum tripod this at the time i shoot in this video
comes in at around 65 more expensive than the other two however i would say a little bit more legit and hi ruby uh but this tripod isn't necessarily designed just for smartphones like the other two are uh whereas it doesn't come with a smartphone clamp so we'll be sure to post my favorite one which because i like the retractable one but like i was talking about some uh smartphone clamps you have to like unscrew and then fit your phone and then you have to tighten it down it's just not all that
convenient and i like convenience when i'm creating content because i don't want to think about all that stuff all that to say this is a great tripod and what i love about this tripod in particular is the ability to grow when using this tripod with another camera so if you plan on upgrading from your smartphone to a smaller regular mirrorless camera or dslr this tripod will grow with you as a content creator which is what i love another cool thing about this tripod is its extension ability so th
ere's you know three levels on the lever and they snap and open and change height but there's also a fourth level and that is this fourth level that allows you to extend it even more from the uh stand thing that's in the middle so you can really get some good height out of this tripod not as tall as the first tripod but definitely good if you plan on sitting down or if you are mediumly height like me i don't know i'm five nine and this is totally fine if i was gonna stand up and then lastly this
has a ball head mount meaning it allows you to get whatever angle you need on your smartphone even if you wanted to go vertical and create stuff for like youtube shorts and tick tocks and things like that such a great option i love the first one i talked about because of the price and it really goes well with the smartphone this would be the next one that i would say i like because i actually use this in my office with my camera and my smartphone when i create youtube videos but one that i don'
t have right now but i wanted to let you know is if you plan on doing pan or tilt shots these tripods wouldn't be necessarily great for that the tripods i've talked about in this video are great for stationary use so if you don't plan on moving the camera or smartphone but if you want to get this newer video head tripod it comes in at around 100 we'll post a link to it down in the description below but great if you want to achieve any cinematic shots pan tilt and things like that so be sure to c
