olutely do plan on hearing from that family today this is a case that we've been following for a long time now since October of 2022 when it happened the family has been outspoken and really just voicing their concern over the fact that they just don't believe that 30 years in prison is enough for Heather Anderson the person accused of killing that family member Shelley stamp investigators say Shelley stamp was found in her apartment dead in October of 2022 that was after a home invasion they sa
id they tell us she had a piece of clothing wrapped around her neck and her credit cards and personal items had been stolen Heather Anderson was charged with murder she accepted a plea deal for a 30-year sentence at her last Hearing in December stamp's family have sat front row at all of those Court appearances even reading impact statements to Anderson at one of them although during those Anderson looked straight ahead and did not acknowledge the family they tell us they feel Anderson should be
serving more time for what she did for them to bring it down more we're pretty upset about it um like she said she was strangled with her own jacket by this woman and it was brutal and my poor husband found her and there was a second woman allegedly involved as well Shannon gritzbach was arrested on misdemeanor charges originally when this happened court records show she was supposed to be at a hearing last month now there's an order for authorities to rearrest her we're working to find out mor

ing today officials in New London are going to talk about plans to restore service on the shoreline East to pre pandemic levels the Connecticut public transit council is expected to update the community on the current reality facing commuters and future plans for the rail line this week the transportation committee overwhelmingly voted to move a bill forward to restore funding for the line lawmakers cut funding last year in response to low ridership the future of electric vehicles is back up for
discussion at the state capital today yeah the transportation committee is considering a bill that would address infrastructure concerns let's explain here so it would create an infrastructure coordinating Council to oversee plans for the state's EV network it would create a zero emission vehicle road mapap for the state revise the state's hydrogen and EV purchase rebate program and allow the state to provide bonding for installing EV charging stations and rebates for Ev purchase purches it wou
ld also set the rate used to tr to charge a customer to charge their electric vehicles and lawmakers are also going to consider a measure that would rid the requirement for an additional driver to provide a credit card when renting cars now that's if the driver has provided a credit or debit card for the rental and it would also cap the amount that a rental car company can recover for the loss of a vehicle that was rented there is a proposal to require the department transportation to create gui
delines for how it removes tree and vegetation near highways the guidelines must include safety reasons for removal the way that trees and vegetation get removed and also for how removing trees will improve road conditions it would it would not include for the removal of trees when it comes to weather related safety concerns dozens of people in New Haven Fair Haven Neighborhood calling on the city to do more for protecting their quality of life they say crime and drug use getting out of hand and
business owners say they're losing money potential customers as well because of the problems neighbors say they're being treated differently when it comes to how police deal with the situations the people they keep shooting drugs in you know in front of my in my place this guy came inside of the building with a gun you know and he was like waving the gun and he was taking products and putting on his packet so I called the police the police showed up like half hour later if that situation happen
