Toyota Hilux 4x4 Build | Ditching the Tub for a T.C Tray and Canopy

[Music] [Music] all right g'day guys my name is Dave I'm the sales manager here at TC boxes and I'm here today to talk to you a little bit about the Hilux tell you a little bit about what we're going to do about the setup on the back I am looking to get a tray on there as soon as possible not really a fan of the tub at all and that's not Toyota's fault I know it's a lot it's very popular I just find them extremely impractical and I [ __ ] hate them I hate tubs there we go I said it I feel a bit

better now like a weight has been lifted and certainly we'll be lifting that weight off the back of the car very very soon and getting rid of it we are putting a tray on there 1650 tray with a 1650 dog section canopy all in black going to get some 750 under trays underneath there get a lot of work done with the bull bar we've got some spotlights going on there we're going to have a winch put in there as well all through ARB and we're going to have our tires and wheels done by tireite in pakenham

reason I'm going for the 1650 dog section canopy obviously that dog section is going to be there for the little doggy to come on camping trips and fishing trips with me so this is really a camper setup I guess for myself we'll be able to Deck the inside of the canopy out with various different accessories Dave two boxes highlights the tub let's get a tray in a box thank you see you next week morning trendsetters uh down here at ARB this morning we are getting our winch and some lights fitted to

the SR Toyota a couple of things I should point out we've got the Summit Bar already on there by ARB fantastic bar love the way that looks the winch is going to sit perfectly in there you can probably imagine it's a worn winch we've chosen ARB to fit these products because they've all been tested on these bars on these products they're set to the right height we're looking forward to it so let's get around the back get some gear fitted off [Music] so here we are inside the workshop TC boxes I a

m removing the Hilux tub today which I'm very very very happy about I think you all know how I feel about tubs by now if not it's not a muffin [Music] on goes the 1650 tray it's a flat alley tray no headboard I'm opting for I'm gonna have a 1650 box put on top of that that's going to sit flush all the way around [Music] morning guys welcome to fulcrum in pakenham we're here this morning to get the suspension done for our Hilux obviously the TC box aim is to make gear as strong and as light as po

ssible with weight being such a big issue these days we want to make sure we get it right so we've brought it down here to The Experts [Music] there's two main reasons why we weigh a vehicle prior to doing any sort of suspension work one is to ensure we're extending the vehicle up with the correct spring rate to the load that it will be carrying on the vehicle two is to make sure you're under your gvm or close to to give you an accurate indication of how much weight you have to play with prior t

o going on a trip [Music] foreign [Music] pakenham these guys are the absolute experts when it comes to wheels for your 4x4 you try and do this yourself you'll end up going wrong is the offset right it's a Minefield trying to get the right sort of tires especially when you think you've got the right set and they may be sticking out too far the last thing you want to do is get pinned so we come down here they give you a list of rims and tires of the right size to choose from can't wait to see wha
