Trying REAL Indian Samosas for the First Time | Indian Food Reactions | Foreigner in India

Johanna tries real Samosas in India for the first time! Samosas are a famous indian street food, served as a snack. It's a triangular savoury pastry fried in oil, containing spiced vegetables. We just spent one month in India and thought it was time for Johanna to try some typical Indian street food. We are a French-Indian couple sharing our stories on Travel | Culture | Languages | Food :) #indianfood #reaction #streetfoodindia #streetfood #foreignerinindia #reactions #indianforeignercouple #indianfrenchcouple #couple #travel #travelfood #india

It's like a little seated pillow. It's huge it's  not flat at all it's 3D it's like this with a pyramid. And this is filled with potato like mashed  it's very nice! So the first thing that you're going to try today from India is called a samosa. It looks something like this. Okay well first it's much bigger So we have some samosas in France. They tend to be triangular, they are  like 2D, they are not 3D, this is 3D and this is actually quite massive. And they're quite  soft as well okay so I thi
nk it's gonna be completely different to what I'm used to. On the left are the samosas they are made with dough, the dough is first rolled like in a roti  The filling is filled generally the filling is potato and some spices and sometimes peas and  then they are close and then deep fried. The chutneys are one spicy one sweet. Which one is  the spicy which one is the sweet? The green one is the spicy and red one is the sweet. So how do you eat is: you dip the top in the Chutney. Let's try spicy f
irst! Is that a good idea? So just dip it in the Chutney and have a bite. It's very soft, it's spicy. So what's the spice level out of ten? Six, probably one more than what I can handle naturally. It looks like this it's really filling I don't know if you can see but it's really filled and it's very  dense but I think it's quite nice definitely not the same experience as the one we can  find in Indian restaurant in France. It's very nice. This is spicy on its own, just saying. This is extra spic
y, this is medium spicy. I kind of like this one. It softens the spice of that. It's a real meal, is this a starter in India? So generally, this is not with the meal, so generally people eat it with chai in the evening. So it's a snack but like you have to be hungry because it's actually quite a bit of food. I'll just get one bite of the crispy  part, which may be illegal but It's crispy, it's nice, it is a bit oily. Pleasant. I do prefer the filling part though. So now the final question is: wi
ll you finish it? I will finish it yes of course I think I will finish both
