I remember, I remember certain things, What I was wearing, the yellow dashes in the street, I prayed those lights would take me home, Then I heard, “Hey kid, get out of the road!” Can’t feel my legs, I might suffocate, There’s a pressure in my chest, I don’t want to be here, I don’t want to be here, What’s about to happen? What’s about to happen? Can’t change what you’ve done, Start fresh next semester. It’s a taste test of what I hate less, I don’t want to be here, Start fresh with a new year. @noakrispin2515

"can't change what you've done. Start fresh next semester" is the new "the sun will rise and we will try again"

@goopbee

I’m glad to be alive for this

@donomously297

Tyler: "Stand up straight now" Me with scoliosis:

@TobyOkay

I remember Tyler once said that he was heavily moved by a scene in The Killers' 'Read My Mind' where Brandon Flowers is standing on a street corner looking into the camera, where his eyes are calm but he can't keep his hand steady, symbolizing that even though he looks fine, he isn't. The scenes of Tyler in the street are very much giving me that vibe

@vezz13

the "can't change what you've done" part literally brings tears to my eyes

@tabbypayea8337

The parting the crowd like car radio… i’m here for this album

@bac6540

I can't be the only one who gets absolutely wrecked by 2:26 - 2:28. What is that face?! I feel like all the emotion of the song can be encapsulated in that expression. Wowwowwow.

@rachelmorgan6759

I wish there was someone in my circle as excited by this song as I am. We could just lie there holding hands listening to it on repeat and feel better about the world.

@99Buldocek99

This is what Tyler meant when he said: "stay alive everybody, it's worth it i promise". Im soo glad i did.

@BasiliskRL

YOU KNOW IT'S GONNA BE A BANGER WHEN THE UKULELE COMES OUT

@SH3RGXZ

Let's help Tyler get another Grammy next year❤

@ViancaChristian

The fact that I’ve had to take a medical leave from university due to successive hospitalizations and taxing treatment right when this song released is just what I needed. Thank you twentyonepilots for everything you’ve ever created.

@emmi_xi

I’m the chick with red hair in the thumbnail. I feel so incredibly honored to be apart of such a wild experience! Twenty one pilots is the dopest and such great performers like I’ve never seen before. Big shout out to Andrew Donoho for being such an amazing director working so hard along with such legends 🥹

These guys are the "Hey kid, get out of the road" for me

@murraymon

Something i noticed personally is the lights. In the lore we know blue is surrender, the color of the neon gravestones, and yellow is hope and fire, adopted by the Banditos, so the lights of the cars being blue is pretty obviously death. And the light behind them while on stage are more of a yellow color, symbolizing they give hope to others, but there are light shining back on them from the front of the stage, meaning there fans give them hope in return, especially as they echo the words back at them. The strong transition form blue to Yellow is like they are pushing back agents the idea of surrendering. With the lirics that cause this change being "Can't change what you've done" (which to me is being told to accept what you did, that bad things really did happen) and "Start Fresh next semester" (which to me is saying you can forgive yourself and others and keep trying, keep moving forward.) This hope pushing back agents despair and gives Tyler himself strengths as he is now standing firm agents the cars that are now going around him, instead of him moving out of the way. Even pointing and calling out the lights as they go by. The lights going blue at the end are interesting as it's either the band claiming the color for themselves, (like they are doing with red, which originally was blurry face's color, but now is Clancy's) or Tyler is being lured away, back into the street at the end. Meaning it's something he is still going through. When he is alone, and the show is over, he'll have to face those thoughts again, but this time he has the memory of the show, the hope he both gave and received. The fight isn't over, but he is stronger now.

@alex.vorobev

Ну это хит! Раз 20 уже пересмотрел 😅 спасибо ребята!

@izzykives6209

Tyler’s voice in this song is 10/10 😭😭😭

@adamr2785

Screaming “can’t change what you’ve done” live at the concerts is gonna be the greatest feeling ever

@Kim_Needs_You

Omg I just realized the connection between "Hey kid, get out of the road!" and how Truce was also filmed with Tyler in the middle of a street. The way they are able to bring everything together is amazing
