Undertale as an 80s Anime

Images by Midjourney AI Lore for this Undertale Lost Media from another dimension! From the Undertale Series (1985-1986) and the feature length movie of the same name (1989) Music used: BGM-01 (Commonly used in the show's Background Music) BGM-02 (Used during the recaps at the start of each episode) (Apologies for low quality, could only find it on my dad's old home videos of him as a kid watching it on VHS) It was quite an obscure show back then when Robert Fox Sr. was running the Undertale Franchise. His grandson Toby (Robert Jr. Jr.) did a better job I think. Except for the switch to Trombone for Sans, I think the old Cimbasso was cooler. Credit: VOICEVOX:四国めたん, VOICEVOX:白上虎太郎, VOICEVOX:青山龍星

Last time, on Undertale! I'll annihilate you, Human! Yah! Undyne is gonna kill me! ??? (Presumably something like 'Your last living moments will be fantastic!' Hey, Papyrus, what are you doing? Sans! (Inaudible) ??? (Something, 'This episode, on undertale!'?)

Are we not gonna talk about how amazing the episode recap dialogue at the end was? The compression, the music, the VOICES? I think that little snippet alone perfectly captures those vibes of "anime VHS I rented from my local video store when I was eleven and now I'm not sure if it's actually real"

@ktoon4725

Can we talk about the irony that they made Asgore a human? 😂

@Me-wx1mt

Sans and papyrus look so cool

@halfastudio

Why do I feel both Flowey and Papyrus would have been voiced by Joey Wheeler's voice actor

@Guy_With_Opinion

Ngl ever since I first played it, I've always imagined Undertale in this old anime style or something close to the art style from spirited away, so to see this video is kind of a weird feeling for me 😂

@ness6714

The designs look odd this time around but that Flowey design looks peek.

@my23bear

Woah imagine if these were actually hand drawn to be like 80's anime

@damian9303

The AI built Asgore like Ariel’s father rather than Asriel’s 💀

@VexxThePrecursor07

Well, it became a reality. Honestly, I pictured UT as an anime with this style. This is the closest recreation of that memory. Thank you.

@anastasia_852

Honestly Flowey Is the only one that looks like he actually belongs to an 80's anime

@kanderion5685

Chara lookin like a background character in a popular show which has no information page on the show's official wiki, yet for some reason has one.

@tr0j4njunky4rd

I love how mettaton, sans, papyrus, muffet and frisk look, they look like the type of characters I would remember abt but never remember where they were from

@Mussoi7000

that first pic of frisk (which looks VERY real) reminds more of an old school rpg maker game alla mogeko castle

@nooneiknow2719

I just NEED an animated episode recap with that audio in my life! Bonus points if it's animated in this style.

@McCool25

I can imagine it as an anime series on Youtube.. thinking about it, it would be dark, corny, and heartwarming.

@skellington8090

0:35 Whoa, Mettaton looks sick! And it totally like that shot could’ve come from a legit Undertale anime, we need one now! Talented animators of YouTube, we need an Undertale anime!

@Jijo2003

Now imagine them speaking Japanese like the 80s Anime

@chickenchips1872

Tbh I've never imagined Undertale to be in an old 80s artstyle cause of its humor but ever since these videos have been coming out I've started wondering about it.

@jackyex

Muffet is straight up a Evangelion character.

@voidishprattles4319

That last undyne picture is cursed 😂 I've seen a few AI undertale ones and none of them seem to ever get her right.
