the space is beautiful it's the the open ceilings it looks kind of industrial but brand new uh with a lot of new equipment a lot of new things that the kids are going to be able to do learning from that Elementary level and kind of bridging that gap between the awesome stuff they do at the high school we're going to be able to open it up so it's one giant space or three different spaces one side is going to have a lot of our heavier equipment you know because we're still going to do some of the
woodworking uh we got like a new dust collector system that's going to be better and more efficient uh so we're still going to do all the same fun stuff that we had done before but the maker space area the new part of it going to make sure we have like our own kind of stem and coating and different things they can do with flexible seating and space to rearrange to suit both the teachers needs the students needs and just what that lesson is the machines will kind of be lined along the wall so the
y're not right in the middle of the room or they can't be moved or used and uh it's just they're making great use of the space we've re arranged where the teacher's office was where we had storage it's like a giant open concept house we do some CO2 car racing and we'll be able to have a full track going through all of it right now as opposed to using the hallways like we have for the last 30 plus years uh so the teachers are really excited about that it allows our teachers to do so much more wit
h the kids and that's that's where we've been lacking the coding work they've done they it just opened up so many more ways that they can use space bigger spaces better projects the drones can go up higher all sorts of things that they just weren't able to do I think it's been a really really good collaboration with our our teaching staff our Tech teachers we wanted them to have a hand in it because they're the experts in what they're doing dayto day so they've worked with both the Architects an
d our school team and our B&G crew to really make sure it's designed the way we want to do be to be most functional for the kids and the staff and uh that's what they've done certainly our kids that we talked to our sixth graders that will have it next year and our kids in their next semester they're so looking forward to it
