US buyers get an average of 15 million new cars a year

An average of 15 million new cars  are registered in the US every year. The best year was 2016 with 17.5 million sales. Interestingly, electric vehicles take about 9% of overall sales. While just three truck models, Ford F-150, Chevy Silverado, and Ram Pickup Truck,  account for almost 11% of all new car sales.
