hey everybody it's rich at RMAutodiag and today we're gonna have a look at my pecker okay so here it is it's the
V pecker E1 Wi-Fi and today what we're gonna do is we're gonna get it
plugged into as many vehicles as I can find and we're gonna see what it's
capable of I'm based in the UK so they'll all be UK cars but before we
start that I'd like to say thank you to all my subscribers to the continued
support and if you're not a subscriber feel free to click the button down below
to subscribe hit
the bell for notifications and make any comments if
you feel like it what I'm also going to do is I'll put a link for the tool down
in the description so you can have a look yourself and I've also put some
timestamps in there so you can see the different vehicles
that I'm checking out if you want to skip forward but apart from that if you
want to watch the whole video and see exactly what it's all about then stick
with it okay so when I first saw and heard about this product I was like
what's t
hat I need to know I saw that it was you know anywhere between 100 and
150 pound and I was like how good is that gonna be is gonna be worth it
I was I was too intrigued not to pick one up so I got one and we're gonna do a
quick review here today so here it is okay so you just get standard little box
and inside we've got little Quick Start Guide yeah what you'd expect not a lot
in there but it does tell you how it's set it up and get it started you also
get the little passcode thing and it will g
ive you your past number and stuff
like that so when you get it registered you can get your online updates and
finally you get the dongle which just fits in it with standard 16 pin DLC on
your car let's say this is the Wi-Fi one so
when you connected to your laptop or PC probably a laptop it uses the Wi-Fi
rather than Bluetooth to transmit all the data so yeah pretty basic not a lot
in the box so let's get going okay so this is the main screen when you first
download the software off the officia
l site you'll be prompted to put in your
serial number and password and then it'll allow you to start downloading all
the software modules from the app store and then once that's done quick setup
over the Wi-Fi for the dongle and then you're awake really so once all that's
done I say it's pretty self-explanatory you can get into having a play with the
tool so if we go into the main section here and you notice we've got some stuff
across the top and then we've got a selection down the side so fir
st in our
menu is the function list this yeah it's fairly useful if you if you're looking
at going out to a car that you maybe you don't know you can you can see what it
is capable off beforehand so in the energy management it'll read DTC's
cleared EDC's it'll read a data stream it's got active tests it's got special
functions so you've got half an idea of what's going on beforehand and seeing
your functionality let's say the next one at the top here brings you into the
main screen that you can
select your different morals from we'll look at now
in a second we've got these hot functions so you can skip directly into
a module if you want so if it is if you need to bleed your brakes or if you need
to change the coding on the battery DPF regeneration push them about the
calipers so you can change pads there is some immobilizer functions they're not
on every car oil resets and tire pressure monitoring so there's yeah
these are just quick ways of skipping into the
sections of the car that y
ou're working on next we've got a DTC look up so just
put in any DTC you want we'll just go for a fairly standard 1-0 420 cat code
and yep so you know if you don't know the code you can you've got a bit of a
look up there that's handy enough next one if you see the camera button down
here you can take a screenshot and then it will appear in these sections and
then you can open it up in your normal photo viewer so you can you can keep a
log of what you're doing if you want to we've got the user m
anual with all the
different settings and stuff here so if you if you're not sure what to do there
is some stuff there the next one is store
there's my serial number so your password when you log in it'll give you
a whole list of all the different modules you can download they're all
free and you get 12 months updates on it for free so once they're all downloaded
you can get on looking at the cars you can see there's a few cars that I've
being into here and this is if you want to leave feedback
if you've had any
issues you can send it back to the manufacturer we've got all the different
languages you can put it in check for updates about your dongle and stuff like
that it will give you the firmware versions and stuff whether it's in
proper diagnosis mode or just a demo unit selection between metric Imperial
fullscreen or you can have it in a little smaller windowed box no idea on
the login you can change the look of it if you want you can log out and then
there's some stuff about your
VCI so it'll tell you how to connect in this
there is some some stuff here to help you along the way
and some quick guides here as well right so onto this main list here
European cars as you can see there's quite a good selection and if I drop
down through we've got some more you know all the standard makes all the
usual stuff American vehicles got a reasonable selection of American
vehicles don't see a lot on the UK but you do see some of them Asian yep
see a fair few of these in this an Toyota
high-end IKEA Suzuki Subaru all
over here showing a not a clue what any of these are but when I see a legal I'll
be ready for it Australia Holden you do get the odd
Holden and yeah probably not going to see any Australian Ford's either again
you can have a quick skip into the hot functions which we set about on the top
before and then there's generic obd which is yeah just just standard obd
reading and that's pretty well it is a quick overview of the interface so what
we're gonna do is we're go
nna start getting into some cars and we'll check
out what it can do okay first vehicle we're gonna get into an audi this is an
Audi a4 it's the p8 platform and it's a 2009 so
click on the Audi button your automatic detect manual all systems and service
reset so what we detect and it's giving us a VIN go forward yep 2008 on a4
there's a 2009 model it's a steak and it's an 1800 petrol
and is that one so we've got the odd spelling mistake that's pretty cool
that's showing a block diagram there of t
he networks with all the different
modules on it so that's pretty useful vehicle
information it's all good diagnostic Auto scan can vehicle scan which is 2005
on or select control unit so that's sort of quick can you see how quick it is that's pretty quick they can't spell
fault but it did go in there pretty quick and is giving us a whole list of
different modules to go into so let's try for the engine it's pretty quick to
be fair it's not too bad read ECU information giving us all our
part numb
ers engine code all that good stuff back out there code reading yeah
so just pick up fault codes so we've got lost communication with havoc control
module and I was wondering what this little thing was here well looks a bit
freeze I'm going for freeze frame data yeah so it does so gives you the mileage
and the time and when it was logged so that's all good very useful data stream okay so many or single day earnest go
menu so you're playing stuff here what else have we got basic sayings
engine ta
lk accelerator pedal voltage we can do that now I don't press me foot it's got plenty live data there okay
so let's use that accelerator pedal as a quick look so yeah we've got some data
up there if I press the pedal it does change so must be reading it and we've
got wave what's that that's gonna be like a graph is it yeah if we press it we can see a change there I'm going on
and off that's pretty cool usual stuff at least it's working action test so we have choices on I
guess that's cutting inj
ectors intake manifold control so we've got all the
quite a few few active tests we won't go into all of them secure access and
coding I'm imagining yeah so if you want to change all them you're going to have
to know what you're doing secure access yep we don't have any of
this coding stuff so we're not going to touch that basic settings so you having
to set a basic setting so we can then we can do stuff we can test knock sensors
Carol it convert a test check valve on the evap and adaptions not
supported so
no adaptions so we do have a good selection now on the engine let's go and see brakes quickly we get
the usual beep fault code no fault codes data stream and this one wants us to put
in the number a bit more like the dealer tool or VCDs so if we just put in a
number we'll see if it let's go through them she does so we'll just set out in
values of 4 on the VW Group and yab it'll go through the channels telling
you what's what they're probably a bit easier if you were if you if you do
know
what all the channels are set up as but it's not an issue not too bad again
basic settings secure access so this got a reasonable set up really not seem bad
doing a one more module and then we'll move on to the next gap no fault codes
found we've got programming attempts parameters reset workshop code so
there's plenty of stuff to do in there if you know what you're doing so you can
change plenty of things say it's not always the best thing to do
reset occupied seek recognition yes and the
re's plenty of stuff there so I would
say for an era T it is not too bad and right what we're gonna do is we're gonna
find the next calf ok car number two we've got a Citroen c3 and it's a 1.4
diesel and we are gonna have a look at this it's a 2007 so click on Citroen and we've just got the options of hot
function on this or manually select so we'll do that
it is a c3 this is a 2007 that was see this gives us any info yeah we got some stuff there dude or
wherever and it goes up and down okay so
maybe we had the wrong engine
code selection selected there I say this wasn't an automatic detection one so you
have to excuse me for that one that's all we have is trouble code and data you're back again and I guess if that is all that's
showing it's not an oil box so there's not a lot on there on the later ones that is showing quite
a lot of things that you can go into let's see if it lasts into anything I
know again fairly limited there and it won't
do it so I guess that's the slightly lit mo
del I know this is on a bit of a
changeover you so it looks like for Citroen certainly
in ac3 it works a bit better with some of the later models let's not miss you not a problem let's say there's quite a good selection
of different search rooms in yeah I think it's got most of the models there so yeah if I find another later-model
Citroen we'll see if we can do anything different
okay car number three we've got a Ford Fiesta it's diesel engine again and it's
a 2009 okay so you got the auto manu
al and hot function we're gonna go for auto
ignition on and yeah it's picked it up at 1400 do a talk diesel and it does say
that it's emissions level as for as well so that's handy to note so your auto
scan or control unit let's go although it's going through pretty quick
so yeah all done has gone through all the different modules so we've got a
full of ABS front display and instrument panel and PCM so it's doing a PCM okay
so we don't have anything apart from read career and a date list on this
look that's going through a self-check
so that works and what we've got on this is we've got EGR minimum stop
performance so we have got an EGR fault so look at the datalist it's a bit
quicker than the Audi's say coolant temperature got a few little things here engine rpm some cylinder balance yeah so
all the live data it's working until the balance has won this a little
bit out there number two so yeah happy with that right
it's jump out of that one let's go into ABS that one says again nothin
g apart
from reading career battery voltage probably had a flat
battery datalist again pretty pretty big date list pretty
pretty good just click on a few things press the brake switch oh you don't seem to have an on and off
on the brake switch there when I'm putting my foot on an off the brake let's try reverse gear see if it gives
us anything as well and some of the date is not 100% on some
of this and let's go into instrument panel for
the last one so they read Korea and we've got some activat
e tests and see
what the trouble codes are so yeah we might actually have a a fault
with with the brake pedal there what we can do is we can go on to the
next on to the next vehicle I think we've checked out enough there
so let's go on to the next thing okay car number four we've got a Fiat
500 2012 and we're gonna have a look at that so it's trained in a Fiat there gives us
a choice for the Alfa as well Lancia our bath for the special ones and
we're on a 2012 so we've got new models and we're j
ust a standard Fiat 500 2012
okay so it gives us a nice list here have a quick look in here a quick test okay again okay so you got trouble codes
no codes present okay so we got some tests that's quite a few tests we can
shut down cylinders test injectors so you won't get the fan of start I didn't think you'd do a lot okay
moving on that's we haven't looked at airbags I don't think yet so looking an
airbag system trouble codes on date list again not about date earth date your
list here plenty of
stuff let's just see if a few of them anything yeah your battery voltage resistance all
good stuff okay let's go find another one body
control trouble codes beta list anything throw in there I see window switch ask
your window switch let's try that doesn't seem to do anything when I do
that I think the data can be a bit hit and miss on these quit looking active
tests see front wipers vailable let's drive this front window not
available low beams that gain I can't see that working okay I think t
hat's
enough for the Fiat let's get on to the next one
okay car number five we're onto a Mercedes this is a CLC diesel and it's
2008 so where's Mercedes I've noticed that it bends it's the one so they do do the Vance b-class hot
function automatic selection read then see if it does it yeah it's found it is right on steering seem to have
frozen a bit here okay well back to it I had a bit of a play around and we went
in manual and went on the old version and we've managed to get into it and
yeah i
t all seems to work fine we've got all the diesel bags Sam units sort of it
has all found it now it's obviously just a bit of playing around with seeing what
vehicles what and we've got someone Fault in so we can go in there so it
says oh good rear interior lamp data cable voltage
supply so yeah we've got some codes that actual values our supply so yeah we do have some actual values
and bits of pieces adaptions so we can adapt for likes view
mirror changing bits pieces there I'm not going to act
ually change
anything though because I don't wanna mess anything up let's go into that race I'm
no fault codes actuations so yeah we got a load of different bits
and pieces for tail lights and stuff like that see if we can hear that locking there was a click on work so yes and good stuff there let's get on
to the next car okay number six we're on for a Renault
there's a Renault modus 2010 Auto scan input then select vehicle three
selection we've got a few let's go for auto see if it'll do it oka
y let's try
again Auto scan just sort of hung up there so we'll go for select vehicle do
we have a modus see if it'll go into it this way so night
a uch can get trouble coves knocking present
they arrest oh they it's probably the law yeah so like that who is working on this activate test really my purse if that works yes does so like making tests
and that works so we do have some active tests working
on that as well yes yes
location president they've asked main data
quickly check Milan released
press it
that's working test don't stop any of these now we do have a selection of chess
I would guess they probably work Restless working but the engine make sure that works pre heating up circuits we got both
legacy they so no imposition but look yeah they all seem to be working that's
another good one activate tests
Tesla are those be fun easy ah
if I make a fan works yeah it needs to just ignition on try yes it's working so if the ignition on we can get fan
turn so that's car number six done
all good
let's move on to the next one okay number seven we've got a Subaru Impreza
2005 let's see what it does so this is only giving us later stuff over a year from all system I get to go
to five minutes each system okay Corinne what else have we going here memorize
codes and temporary codes no fault codes okay their display let's try a few
things here temperatures voltages it's not running
so all looks good system operation check mode know what that is okay it's obviously some sort of specia
l test
to be done let's come back out of that let's have a look in ABS let's use to ID
it pretty quick so G sensor fuck code there and we do have some it's a piece
of all we can look at that and I see if something's illuminated okay so it's off
bitch nice off from the - yeah and there is a
value on that G sensor I'm not moving so I doubt it's going to change and let's
go one more on this should we go for air bag no no our bag
has this got aircon does see if we get in the aircon nothing on that e
ither
okay so we actually get into a few things there onto the next one
okay number eight we're on for a 2003 Toyota rav4
diesel so let's get fine I got on there see what this one all day I said about maintenance reset and
diagnose so we can diagnose it it was a bit choice where it's from or
Europe scan vehicle next
diagnose power drain engine so there's a little bit slower but it's
quite an old car 17 years old now and we're trouble codes Reid trouble
codes okay so we have got a trouble killed
they list they a few different things yep
they will work Oh some good stuff there abs
go into the map have a quick look the same again
we trouble codes no cakes present
we got a daily list quite date there
plenty of stuff and
active tests so you got little tests on solenoids and relays no brake warning
light see that off right so next should come
on select well if they so let's turn on
- come on and off let's get off so that one works what else we got yes yes we'll have a
quick look at that see
if it goes in and this trouble close on that one ok we're all good that's the last one
for the year for the Toyota ok number nine when a Vauxhall Astra 2009 no 2008 see if we can Auto scan it model is not
supported so that must be for later models Europe H I don't know engines in this that's patro should we have a gas for
1600 okay just till this said 18x that's pretty good we weren't sure we
had a guess st. that's going haven't they look for it thermostats duck got some good codes
there's lots
of tests here ECU control program out of speed learn values reset
ECU we got some live data hopefully we might frozen communication fails actually test your fans they'll test see if our just ignition on so it's on you activate it's off so yeah
I got some working stuff there there's plenty of stuff in that one and so I'm
looking the body do instrument I'll just try a couple of things on this so yeah
we got fault codes ECU information so we're looking that one it tells us what
it is yet part numbe
rs for chassis number do it stream just bleed for you
level see if we can get any day or on this one yeah yeah it feels about
corporate tank so yeah we've got some stuff there and quickly go into ABS again we've got
fault code read some communication issues do it stream great light switch
that one works yep so we've got a good date stream on that and yeah we got some
stuff here then I'm not going to set off right now so there we go
Vauxhall Astra done okay number 10 the last one we're gonna look
at a POJO 207
and it's petrol we'll do the read the VIN - elect
207 and again I don't know what the exact thing using this
it's a KF you got some tests a usual stuff it's just checker and the live date is and yet battery voltage says read
somewhere near right so happy we were with the dater on their active tests high-speed fan see if we can get that
big work yes so the house big fan is on come out of that and what else can we have a quick look
at the SI so we've just got trouble codes on the BS
I nothing interesting in
there that's a bit not too good what else have we got engine relay unit
okay so we've got a few things in here trouble codes state a list see if any of
these anything all measured 136 percent oil temperature is up as well
activate tests supplies don't see very much there compressor control now they'll sink work so have we got
anything else air bag that's the last one
again trouble codes okay everyone I think that's pretty well it I've had a
good good look through a decen
t amount as ten cars there just to give a brief
overview on each one I know we didn't go in-depth and everything but I mean you
can see all the different control units you could get into the live day air that
the actual tests that you could do with it so I think all in all for for the
price of it it's 100 to 150 pound range I think it's a brilliant little tool and
I don't think you could expect much more from it as I'd say hopefully in the
future with some update still they'll get on top of a fe
w of the little little
issues of some of the the live data are not working and the tests not working
but yeah brilliant little tool so if you guys want to stick around and see any
