Walt Disney World Vlog | Day 6 | La Hacienda de San Angel & Luminous | January 2024 | Adam Hattan

My friends and I are off to Epcot! In this Walt Disney World vlog, we enjoy dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel in the Mexico pavilion for the first time, see the new nighttime spectacular Luminous: Symphony of Us and give our review, as well as sharing Epcot favourites and the newly opened World Celebration area with music by Pinar Toprak. ⭐️ Join the Moooorning Club here: http://www.patreon.com/adamhattan and get access to exclusive bonus videos, competitions, a members-only Instagram, merchandise discounts and even your name in the vlogs! We has a slower start today, with Max and Alex enjoy breakfast at Sanaa, Gary having a lie-in, and myself spending some time on Patreon with my lovely subscribers. We catch one of the Disney Transport buses to Epcot and get instantly hit by the lovely World Celebration music. We get lucky as well, as Spaceship Earth (otherwise known as 'the ball' the 'golf ball') restarted after a period of downtime, which meant we got to walk straight on! Making our way onto World Showcase, we choose to go clockwise and start out with lunch at the Lotus Blossom Cafe, the quick service restaurant in the China pavilion. There we give you a cost breakdown of what we ordered and our overall review of the meal. It's then off for a stroll around the world passing through countries like Italy and Morocco, before stopping in the France pavilion for a ride on Remy's Ratatouille Adventure. Unfortunately for us, the heavens open up, so we take this opportunity to get in line to meet Figment and have a chill in the DVC Members Lounge at the Imagination Pavilion. We have a go at the super large paint-by-numbers that's part of the Festival of the Arts line-up, before exploring World Celebration a little and then checking into La Hacienda de San Angel for dinner. At the table service restaurant we using the Disney Dining Plan, get a starter to share, mains each and churros to share. We give you our review of the value for money, food quality, atmosphere and our usual ratings out of five. Before the fireworks, we had some spare time to ride Soarin Over California and Living with the Land, before grabbing a spot at the Canada Pavilion for Luminous: Symphony of Us, the new nighttime spectacular viewable from pretty much anywhere on World Showcase lagoon. The show utilises music, lights, fireworks, lasers and water fountains. After the show we give you our review and have a serendipitous interaction with a Disney cast member. We make our way back to Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge - Kidani Village via Minnie Van, which can be ordered from anywhere on Disney property to anywhere else on Disney property. We chose to go from Disney's Beach Club as it was a little closer for us to exit via International Gateway than it was for us to get the bus from the front. You've got one more vlog to enjoy from this vlog series, then I'll be back in the not too distant future with a new Disney Cruise Line series! 🚢 NOTES: I film on a canon G7X Mark III (3) compact camera. Gary had the idea that we harmonise, but you can't really harmonise on a G. - But nobody picked a note, so everyone just went free. (friends laughing) - I just spoke. - They had a lovely breakfast at Sanaa this morning. - We did. I had the french toast. - And I had the eggs benedict, which was lovely with hard poached eggs. - Right. - They still came runny. - We had a nice chill morning. Gary C slept for a lon

Oh, I've never seen that. - [Adam] Yes you have. - I have. (MagicBand dinging) - [Cast Member] Thank you very much. Have a great day. - [MagicBand Reader] Welcome hom. - [Adam] Thank you! The new magical music. I love it! (exciting music) It's so Epcot. It's so Epcot. Love the music. Love the music. Disney
, put the music on Spotify please and thank you. - [Alex] Turn it up. - Turn it up! Space Mountain was down. No, Space Mountain, Spaceship Earth. Hello. Good morning. And now it is back up and running. - [Ride Narrator] At this point, each civilization has its own form of writing, which none of the others can understand. But the Phoenicians who trade with them have a solution. They create a simple common alphabet adaptable to most languages. Remember how easy it was to learn your ABCs? Thank the
Phoenicians. They invented them. It turns out there are copies of some of these books in the libraries of the Middle East being watched over by Arab and Jewish scholars. Call it the first backup system. The books are saved and with them our dreams of the future. (happy music) Gutenberg invents the moveable type printing press. At first very large, very expensive computers. But, we see the potential. (happy music) - [Ride Narrator] Welcome back time travellers. Now we invite you to visit Project
Tomorrow. - [Adam] How many Disney fans does it take to try and get a boarding group for Guardians of the Galaxy at 1:00 p.m.? - [Max] Minimum of two. (Adam laughs) What do we do, 59? - [Adam] Seven, six, five, four, three, two, one. Now! Thank you. - Hooray! - Woo. - Well done. - Well done team, well done. - We've decided to walk around the world clockwise. Is that right? Yeah. Which isn't the normal way I'll do it, but you know I'm just gonna grin and bear it. I know there's people out there
that say this is the only way they go, but I'm a British boy and I go to Canada first. Which way do you normally go, Star? - Whichever way the maple pop- - I wasn't talking to you. Star, which way do you normally go? - [Star] Whichever way the maple popcorn is. (Adam laughs) - We were planning on doing some festival food, but there's actually not as many stalls as there is for Food and Wine and Flower and Gardens. So we've decided on the quick service in the China pavilion. I've never done it. Y
ou've never done it? - I've never done it. - You've never done it? - Donald! I've never done it. - Donald's never done it. So we're gonna go over there now. (exotic music) So that's the Nine Dragons restaurant, which I have been to, but the quick service is only outdoor seating. And when you're in the Florida sun, the last thing you wanna do is eat outside sometimes. So now it's January, we can give it a go. So the quick service is just here on the left and it's called the Lotus Blossom Cafe. Th
ere's some pictures there if you wanna have a look. I think I might have the chicken fried rice, you know. Looks nice For us to get this, which was a vegetable stir fry and a chicken fried rice combo, drink each. That would've been $36.87. But on the dining plan it's two quick service credits and we found space right back on the left hand side. What'd you get? - Orange Chicken. - Oo! And a Lychee iced tea. As well as some chicken pot stickers. - [Friend] And that came to $54. - No it didn't. - W
hat? - Yes, it did. - No. - Yeah. - Is this alcoholic? - $52? No. - (gasps) I'm shocked. How was your vegetable stir fry? - Really nice. Loads of flavour. Just really, really nice. I would definitely recommend people who don't like spicy to get it and ask for like the white rice instead of the spicy noodles. - [Adam] Which is what you did. - Because it is, the vegetable stuff, it is so flavorful and just nice. And then the white rice is just a nice little palate cleanser at the end. - Nice. I re
ally like mine. However it is chicken thigh, brown meat, rather than chicken breast white meat. So that's the only thing I wouldn't necessarily rave about this meal. In this video, obviously. - Do make this video. - We're still recovering from that Magic Kingdom day. How's your orange chicken, boys? - Really nice. - Very nice. This is white meat chicken. So if you want white meat get the orange... - Orange chicken. - It's not spicy at all. It's very similar to our sweet and sour chicken Cantones
e style. - [Adam] And we also learned that they gave us, they gave them the wrong drinks. So this is the drink they ordered. - Yeah, this is the Lychee iced tea. Beautiful. - [Adam] This is like a Chinese beer, right? - Yes. - Yeah. - We're like humming now. (friends laugh) (bright polka music) - [Adam] There's some merchandise for the new show, including a die cut magnet and a little Christmas ornament. (upbeat music) (singing in foreign language) - Hi. Bonjour. - [Friend] Thank you. - [Adam] W
hat did she say? - Enjoy your storybook adventures. - Oh nice. What'd you get? - Let me consult the book. It is inspired by "Encanto". - Oh it looks crooked. - [Gary] This is the passion fruit filled mango cheesecake between France and Morocco. - [Adam] That's nice. I like that. - [Gary] Yeah? - Out of five? - Um. - I say five. - Yeah. - I'd say five. - A good five. - I would say five. - Yeah. - As far as desserts go. I'm not really a sweet person, but (mutters). Gary has just made an observatio

(Adam laughs) - But, I have noticed in the rooms or our room at Wilderness Lodge, and I haven't looked in the public, they have cardboard plates and everything in there now. - Ah, Sleeping Beauty! - Oh! - I said to her, "Hello princess." Here we have "Luncheon of the Boating Party" by Renoir. Please change positions. And one more. Thank you. Renoir would be very pleased. - Good. (happy music) - And away we go! - Hoo
ray. - Off we go! - [Adam] You ready, Star? - I'm ready. (Adam laughs) - [Gusteau] (laughs) Chef Remy is waiting for you. This way. (exciting music) (tense music) - [Friend] Glasses up. - It's a bit fishy in here. - Very fishy. - [Linguini] Hey guys, the food is for them, not you. (burners roar) (indistinct voices on ride video) (chef laughs) (startling tone) (chef yells) (tense music) (guests screaming) - (speaking in foreign language) go, go! (chef yells) (happy music) - This is not good for s
omeone with anxiety. - No. (cork popping) (Adam exclaims) (Adam laughs) - [Friend] Yay! All the rodents. - [Adam] Max and Alex don't currently have their umbrellas. - Someone forgot them. I said "Shall we pack them?" You were like "No, it's not forecast rain today." - How dare you. I said "Let's pack them." - Anyway, we'll keep walking. - It doesn't matter. - We don't need a domestic in Epcot. - It doesn't matter if you're gay or straight, domestics happen every day. (friends laugh) (happy music

(Adam and Max laugh) - [Gary] This is a rainbow cookie. - [Friend] Oh it's dripping off the side. Just be careful with your blue. - [Gary] Oh, I got the blue. - Oh no, not the blue. - [Adam] And it comes with a nonedible paintbrush. - Yeah. Don't eat the paintbrush, Gary C. Let the artist work. - [Adam] What are you tryi

It wasn't nothing special for the money it was. - Two. - One. - Two. - (laughs) Onwards we go. - [Max] Yeah. (exciting music) - Do you wanna see the little charging ports? - Oh yeah, go on. Where are we going? - DVC lounge! - Yay. - [Alex] We're only pretending to live through Adam as a DVC member. - [Adam] 'Cause you've never been up here yet? - Never. I've always wanted to. - [Adam] And it looks like it's gonna pour down with rain. So we chose the right time. Got new chairs! - [Alex] I got a sti

Great thing about coming up here. Little snacks and a refillable drink and Gary gets to sit down. - But these are like the little graham catch crackers, the mini cookies I like. - [Adam] Delicious. - Some people may say they're dry and boring, but that's my niche. (Adam giggles) - So, I was number four.
I have reached my number four pot. - Yes you are. - Where am I? (Gary's voice muffling) - No. - You can't tell it's grey. - [Adam] But it's free to do. - It's free to do. It's a fun little thing. - [Adam] How many squares do you get out of it? - I, I've got quite a few outta mine, like eight. - Oh! - But also there's about five minutes, well three minutes now of this one left. 'cause they're timed so everyone's like furiously trying to fill it in to finish it and then I think they move on to an
other one. - [Adam] Oh okay. - So if you go down there, you can see like the whole thing. (exciting music) The music is very epic and like inspiring. - Yes. Tonight we are having dinner at La Hacienda de San Angel, or San Angel, I don't how you say it. Angel? Angel? This is somewhere we've never eaten before. It's only open for dinner. But I'm very excited to try it out 'cause I love Mexican food. And I've been to the Mexican restaurant in there, which I think is just called the San Angel restau
rant. That wasn't a bit of me. So hopefully this one will be better. (bright music) (singing in foreign language) Mm, smells nice. - Wow. - Oo! - Lovely. - So nice. This is one of the restaurants that gives you a great view of the lagoon and potentially the fireworks as well. My advice for trying to get a table for that is to book something that's maybe an hour and a half before the fireworks and requesting a fireworks table. Try and turn up early for your reservation and say that you are happy
to wait longer if they can get it for you by 7:30, 8:00 p.m., if fireworks are at 9:00, most of those tables are gonna be assigned. So keep that in mind. The longer you give the restaurant to accommodate you, the better. With the dining plan, you obviously get a alcoholic or non-alcoholic specialty drink. This is basically the pina colada but without the raspberry. So- - And obviously not the rum and everything, 'cause I always have a virgin pina colada anyway, so it's basically taste like the c
ruise ship one. - [Adam] Whoo. White sangria? - White sangria and chicken. - What? - Not for a drink? - Oh just a white sangria. And then me and Max are going on soft drinks and then we've also ordered queso and we're all having some sort of chicken, I think. I have a little surprise. - [Adam] A surprise? - For little Gary. - Oh. - Who is it? - Oh no. Oh no. - Who is it? - It's someone to join me. - [Gary] Yeah! - Hello my friend. - [Gary] Hooray! But he's got, are the magnets in there? - No, th
e magnet's in there. - I'm gonna kill you. (friends laugh) - Yes. - This is little Mickey all over again. What shoulder do you have yours on? - This side. - So I'll have mind on this side So when we have pictures together it's like this. - [Alex] Yeah. - Thank you so much. - You're welcome. - Yeah, thank you, so much. - You're welcome. - Chipotle salsa, queso, nachos. - Figment? - Oh god, here we go. This is it. This is the end. - [Alex] Does he like it? - [Gary] He likes it. - Thank you for not
gifting this on day one. (laughs) - I should have. - Do you think we should go around every park taking all the pictures again with you on my shoulder? - No, he says! - He says yay. - Word to the wise, the salsa is very spicy, which is great 'cause it basically just means it's mine now. (laughs) None of these three really like the spice. - See a bit more of like a Chipotle sauce thing. - [Adam] Yeah, but I think Chipotle's a type of pepper, isn't it? - I don't know. - Or type of chilli. - That
is chilli. - [Adam] Alex went for the chicken. - Oo, that chicken. - Oo, that mushroom. (garbles) Demon. Max and I have gone for the fajitas. Those normally come a steak but you can have it with chicken. Then they also bring rice to share and corn and flour tortillas for the various meals. Churros and ice cream have arrived. So far the reviews haven't been great from the other side of the table. So I'm gonna, oh my God. - You're just gonna have to pick it up and- - Okay. I'm nearly there. Very h
ard, very chewy churros. - [Max] Really chewy. - Hmm. - Ice cream's nice. - The ice cream is lovely. Actually- - Churro is not. - It's been a really lovely meal and I think the churros just took it down a peg 'cause it was gonna be a four out of five for me. This was pushing a five. However, the churros have knocked it down a little bit for all of us, I think. I'm gonna go, it would get a three and a half. - But we don't do halfs. - But we don't do halfs. I think 'cause it was quite an expensive
meal. Obviously we're on the dining plan. Ho hum. Ho hum. But if we weren't, I probably wouldn't have paid to come back here again based on that. So three, three. - Four. - Four? - My chicken was delicious And I didn't pay. - Yeah, the fajitas were really nice as well. - I'm going three. - My chicken was delicious and I didn't pay. Which comes in mighty handy when you want to get out the parks quickly. - Apart from Magic Kingdom. 'Cause
it doesn't stop there does it? - Yeah. - Does it? At the bus terminal. - Yeah. - It's one of the only places that you can actually get outta Magic Kingdom quite quickly. - I didn't write a book on Disney. Now don't listen to me. - But I did. to adamhattan.com now. The book is currently 50% off. Terms and conditions apply. Offers may end. The trick with Minnie vans is they tend to take a while 'cause there's not many cars. So when you're kind of starting to walk out the park, that's when you wan
t to order one. We ordered it when we were in Canada. After we'd just finished speaking to that cast member and it took about 18 minutes from ordering it until then. So we've just got to Beach Club and we've still got five minutes to wait. Enjoying your holiday over there? (Adam laughs) You ready for bed? - I've been ready for bed for days. (friends laugh) (gentle music) - This is us. - I'm not gonna lie, it's never gets old. (Adam laughs) Thank you very, very much. - [Driver] Well you are very,
very welcome. - [Adam] Did you enjoy the Minnie van ride? - Such a smooth ride. - They're always very good drivers and they're always nice to talk to. - [Gary] That was a lovely ride. It's more expensive than an Uber. That was $40 to go from back of Epcot to here. It was quite a long drive, really. - Yeah, and it was worth it for the comfort 'cause it also started raining. - I'd never understand. I enjoyed the steps. (Adam laughs) - Please do your impression of the firework show. (Gary hisses)
(Adam laughs) My personal favourite one is (Adam hisses) Well I'd call that a day. - A very successful day. - Yeah. Yeah. We got to see the new show. That's what our main thing on the bucket list was. And it was nice to see World Celebration. I think that's probably the highlight of my day. - And the Mexican was nice. - Yeah. - Really nice. - Yeah. Churros knocked down at least- - Churros. - But it was- - The little bricks. - still nice to do it and try it. And I think if you got in there at the
right time it would be a really great place to see the fireworks and stuff like that. But yeah. Well we're gonna leave you here. We'll see you for the last vlog in this series. But don't fear, I've always got more magic coming. So don't forget to subscribe. I thought you had something to say. - I was getting ready for the end. - I thought there was something in your bag. - Oh no, just your good night pills. - Just the good pills. - Like this video if you enjoyed it, subscribe so you'll be the f
irst to see. So much watching. See you next time. (upbeat music) (playfully suspenseful music) (bright music)

I'm saying this as a 70 yo grandfather, but it's such fun to hang out with your good humor and interesting chat. I love seeing good friends enjoying their time together. A bourbon or two (or maybe three) makes you all even the more intriguing....
