today we're going to Taiwan from Korea we're going to be trying out one of Korea's newest Airlines air K we're going to stay in a pretty nice hotel and we'll also check out the night markets try a hot spring and meet a few of our friends G we're departing on this trip from Korea I've been staying in a hotel in dejon and Korea it's about 5:00 a.m. we've got a catch our flight just before 9:00 a.m. gan's dad offered to drive us there and we're using a they operate our tongu airport which is right
in the middle of South Korea there was quite a bit of traffic to get to the airport and so we only arrived with about an hour to SP it was the last call oh my God we made it through we weren't 100% sure I think we have a lot of people to check in um we weren't sure if we were going to make it in time but we did just need to go through security Now go right now I just it's a pretty small airport so super easy to get very fast this is a nice touch so they show you all the songs that they're playin
g on boarding a bit of information on it too great they' also got great outfits new outfit so the outfit is genderless genderless uni gend uni that's cool an operation of emergency ex we settled in for our 3our 15minute flight taipe and because it's Korean Airline of course you get the Korean Staples of honey butter almonds and shin ramen noodles these are free on Korean Air actually but on a um they cost a pretty reasonable 4,000 Korean one or 4 us um and to be honest considering it's a Budget
Airline the plate felt pretty new's favorite songing merry house moving castle and with house Moving Castle in the background we thought we'd be settling in for a good Landing but oh we're just having a th go around not sure why can't maybe they'll say on a Runway go around is basically where the flight can't land so they go around again all right attempt two at Landing attempt two was successful and they didn't announce why we were bought at the first landing anyway welcome to type ton aan airp
ort so you got to use MRT to get to Central taipe from airport it's really easy and convenient I really liked how most of the journey was raised so you got a great view of the city and when we got into the city we've then settled in for a very humid 20 minute walk toward our hotel by warm 30° 32° the hotel wasn't quite ready for us yet so we decided to grab some lunch of this close by Eco Restaurant Gian tried to get a decaf coffee as well um but it seems like that's not a thing in Taiwan no it
wasn't certainly none of the local cafes had it um so we decided to embark on a little adventure to the local shopping mall all by building right next to the skyscrapers you having fun yeah we didn't find in the end so um we went back to the hotel oh it's really spacious great yeah that's good it's very good it's very new this is the Jasper young banow Hotel um we got a really great deal on this it pays to check websites directly for the hotels rather than using booking.com it was about half pri
ce compared to booking.com when we book direct oh but this hotel's location is slightly further from Central Station so you need to sacrifice some time after a brief nap we headed out in search of a Night Market okay where are we at at we're at the Nang night market so there these Night Market got all around ta this is my first time in a night market I'm quite excited I'm also very hungry so my um high expectations of oh you is it is it your first time ever in Night Market you were in Thailand u
h yeah I didn't go to one in I was only in Thailand for okay let's see what they have I'm Ready the Pees are quite big already it's quite early maybe it's just it's dinner time you have a pineapple bun later pineapple bun crispy donut yeah maybe what are you feeling for like eating them you got a something that you would like to have you had last night waste the fritter have you had this before you want I think one's okay wonder is yeah Wast of chives and cabbage 60 so that's about just under 2
I think number is waiting for yeah so this is what we've ordered uh we got oh you can't read what it says but anyway we got an O the FR and for 13 I've had this before it's ni so can you taste it oyster yeah there is a oer has oer in it oh yeah oh it's nice yeah so this is the oyster in here and and it's got like a chive and rice filling is it or chive and onion filling maybe I actually think these are quite nice this is the bird um deep fried Biro um tasty it's very soft like normally Burdock's
quite hard for me but very soft maybe they I don't know is it just chopped up bird off or do you think it's um they've minced it and then made it into a shape do you think I don't know so we split up at this point the cues were quite big um so I waited at the stuffed bread store uh I got around six of them but you could have got spring onion or red bean this is the red bean one it was really tasty I open yeah he's like an A young actor not famous One seafood soup how do you say this oh means se

ng we were considering going to a more private hot spring but that's been fancy getting today so we're now on our way to the station um so I think it's about an hour and a half Journey there's so many public bikes it's really neat guys got time ready little market yeah which way is it uh we're going to taipe main station yeah so the this one here all the stations not only have English but they also have Korean Tai Ty so there's a few trains that are going to go from this platform we are taking t
he R22 to B2 which is going to come in 5 minutes I need to get in the line I like it very civilized we've arrived in Bay 2 so now we're going to go grab some lunch and then we're going to meet gian's friend to do a walk up the mountain um and then hopefully go to a hot spring afterwards yeah we'll we'll come back to the hot spring the weather's a lot LIC today yesterday it was like walking through a sauna but today it's just like walking through a a pleasant sort of fan uh it's a bit Breezy yeah
it's just like a constant fan um blowing at me that's really nice weather yeah very nice we'll have um Taiwanese beef noodle soup which is famous in Taiwan we were commenting earlier how Taiwan is really nice because it's so clean it's a very clean version of a city I don't know if that's because of all the rain or if they just are very definitely not I don't know but there's no rubbish anywhere it's great so this is Sesame Noodle and then Gian got the famous beef noodle that's good this beef n
oodle food is very familiar to me it's kind of tastes like y it's good I got a small one but it's not that small to me this is a b size I think this is really good value this is 80 um Taiwanese dollar which is about I think that's under 2 maybe it's about2 this is a great deal you couldn't get a meal like this for 2 anywhere in London I'm PR good it's a peanut in sesame sauce on it I made a mistake of wearing white TR St going have to be really careful with what I eat yeah I thought it was prett
y good as well it was pretty tasty for2 great deal check out we arrived at the fermal valley uh this has natural hot springs and a bunch of bathouses and it's also got some hot Lakes up above um but they're way too hot to Bath in them yeah you can go to um the hotels to um do the private Spa but we didn't the Valley's being cleaned up a lot over the last 20 to 30 years we saw some photos of how it used to be but it's really very beautiful now it's really pretty and it's a different color as well
isn't it yeah it's really nice yeah that's minerals of suur yeah yeah do you think this is warm or do you think this is just I think this no oh that's really cool yeah it's really Prett yeah this is one of the Japanese Colonial bath houses oh yeah backday so now they converted into um like a sightseing spot for tourists so that they can explain the history of it we went to the museum and a lot of the bathouses around here were built when the Japanese colonized Taiwan so in the early 1900s and t
hey discovered that there was you know hot water here this used to be called The Valley Of Hell by the um pones um but they they kind of got three different colors of uh heated water and then they made them into um hot barves it's a very beautiful Valley it's cool that's very steamy so this water is probably 60 to 70° you can see why it used to be called The Valley Of Hell it smells quite fresh actually it doesn't smell too sulfurous I've been to some places where they have sofa hot springs and
it's extremely smelly oh really cool what you think it's cool um Kai said it's really good temperature for doing Sid doing what Sid oh yeah it looks like an ice link oh to me we've then took a 20- minute walk walk felt like quite a dangerous road actually um to see the hot water where it comes out of the ground lungu thermal Valley we later also went to a hot spring a public hot spring uh but we didn't record footage of that but it was using this water we are going up to Lookout Point of this um
valy I thought this was the highlight of uh this trip of yyong mountain was gorgeous sunset after that we were invited to the dinner to have pcking a dog I found an interesting how there was this glass round table and you kind of spin the table around and everybody gets a try with food it's quite efficient yeah it's a sharing culture that's the door in the spirit of sharing we we then went and got some cocktails yeah it's kind of like a hidden door there and walk upstairs we made a reservation
um they were pretty nice we also some customized cocktails yeah and based on our preference he made um cocktails for the next day yeah the next morning nice and early we headed out of the city to see someone K one's nature what is this this shinging Tong means scallion and because it's right so we hiked up the mountain and apparently this Pond has a fish that would nibble your feet gian's friend got lucky and got nibbled uh Ben's fit was not inviting in your fish yeah they didn't want my feet wh
at's that about maybe they're just too clean they're so clean there's nothing to nibble then was very patient though yeah it seems like there are a lot of Taiwanese tourist but not International tourist which I liked saying that we're going to go to the most touristy place I think we visited uh this is where we're going to grab lunch and we're going to cook it ourselves this is the kingi geothermal Park and here you can order your raw food hold it in a basket and then you cook it in the firal wa
ter and the firal water is sort of between 80 to 100° C yeah so it feels like corn I don't know what Sager is I think we have um egg and cor yeah yeah and um they have an instruction how much time that you need to wait for each ingredients and um um yeah it's pretty much all time on is there touristy but a lot of Taiwanese tourist is that better that's foreign tourist J did it taste particularly different to you it's just steamed egg just there's no difference last time I it wasn't super filling
to be honest not enough food so we went and grabbed some sushi in a nearby Town local market and then finally we headed down to the beach um this is a pretty popular spot to go and chill but also check out these Hightech fishermen yeah using drones never seen it before amazing oh wow did you see it's fascinating that's very far I we really appreciated um my friend's effort to plan all this stage trip it was really fun B spicier than the other one and finally after a 12-hour day we arrived back
in taipe Tae 101 uh the most expensive apartments in taipe that's Ty 101 looks interesting it looks like a shell shell and that's it to round off our trip before heading back to Korea tomorrow we grabed some dinner with friends so Ben how was your first trip to Taiwan I think I think Taiwan exceeded my expectations we were only there three days we managed to see a lot yeah it was really nice yeah I think we fly enjoyed our um food experience uh what was your favorite food uh the night market I g
