Hi, my name's Rachael and I'm the owner of
Caughley. You know, I think every day is an awesome opportunity to dress up in something that in something that you love. I love Wellington because it's so compact. There's so much cool space in such a small area, so I think that also breeds a huge amount of creativity. You can take the whole day and just meander
through the city. This is Precinct 35. I love coming into this shop because I totally
respect what he's doing here, you know, the conscious co
nsuming. I think that's awesome, and you walk into
this space and you can tell that everything's been picked with a lot of love. So next we're going to pop next door to see
Jenny at Bowen Galleries. The Cuba quarter is in close proximity to
Ghuznee Street. It's pretty much just this little precinct
of all the galleries - Hamish McKay, Peter McLeavey, Suite, Enjoy, and then the city
art gallery. The shopping in Wellington's amazing - there's
department stores right through to this end of town whe
re you've got little boutiques. You can just walk, pop into the cafes on the way, and there's heaps of stores that are nowhere else in New Zealand. Super laid back, chilled vibe. Everyone's always friendly - they're just
themselves. So that's Emporium over there - that's awesome
vintage. Awesome knick-knacks. So now we're going to Scopa. So this is Nardi, and this is my favourite
place to come at the end of the day. For us, we've grown up in hospitality so it's
that whole family thing and making
people feel welcome. It's like an extension of your living room. I love just coming here and chilling out,
meeting some good mates, having a laugh, a glass of wine - that's the best thing in life,
right?
