- [Karuna] It all started with
my business partner, Sunil, talking to me all the time
about construction problems. - [Sunil] Every project,
during the project setup or the project finish stage,
are normally the Achilles heel for any contractor. - [AJ] The issue of
generating a submittal log is a contract compliance issue, and that's being left
in the hands right now, across the board, to
people who are fresh out of college and may not know exactly what they're doing with the
submittal log quite
yet. - [Alistair] Newer members of the team that don't have experience doing this, and errors are the
rule, not the exception. - [Sunil] These contractors
have been deprived of technology for a long time, and they've been living
in Excels and emails. - [Satyam] The processes,
if you look at them and how they exist, 50 to 100 years have been the manual analysis of large construction documents. - [Alistair] I think the biggest thing, what it comes down to, is actually mitigating risk on projects,
and so there's a fundamental understanding that we can remove the human error from this entire process to ensure that they're planning
right from the get go. - [Sarah] You have design
that moves into execution for a project, and then you have that moving into actual operations, and every time you have these splits, you're gonna have gaps in communication, and those gaps in communication
are where errors can occur, things can fall through the cracks, and that's kind of where Pype lives. - [Alista
ir] There really
aren't other solutions out there that do what we do. - [Satyam] What we're doing
is bringing the concepts of machine learning,
artificial intelligence, and computer vision,
and implementing those in a way that was never possible before. - [Alistair] 90% of financial
or litigation issues on projects stem from submittals. - [Sunil] We really understand what kind of data is important for the contractor to get
to contract compliance. - [Sarah] We're able to
really quality control wh
at these folks are giving us. We're really able to pinpoint where we're missing data points and having a really solid
document presentation for that hand off to operations. - [Josh] I don't think
there's anything on the market that gives you the ability to get as deep as you can get. The amount of control it gives you over what you're looking
at, where you're going, what you want to be presented
with at any given time. - [John] We have a lot of project teams where this is their first
project, th
eir second project, and we help guide them
along in that process, provide them with best practices, and make sure that the end result is what the owner really needs. - [Alistair] Overall, project success comes down to two things: is a project being on
time and under budget, and that's what we help people accomplish. - [Sarah] Our clients are really echoing, "Oh, this saves me so much time. "I can go faster." - [Karuna] Reducing the time from seven days down to hours, basically. That's game chang
ing. - [John] Because we're helping
them build submittal logs much faster, they can start
worrying about other things on their job, they can start taking care of their RFIs, they can start
managing those submittals. - When they see the return on the time that they can invest in our system and the benefits that they can get back, what they're seeing is not just
that up front time savings, but that expands into
an increase in quality. - [Sunil] There are a
lot of information flows that occur in th
e construction job site which are still fragmented, and we can provide several
automated solutions to tie all these workflows
together with Pype's platform. - [AJ] Some of the top
50 ENR companies use this as a way to standardize
the way submittal logs and requirement logs are
generated across the company. - [Sunil] One of the key
things we drive every day is easy-to-use. So we want the software to be intuitive, and having that mission in mind where we are building the best software makes us rea
lly unique, and
our customers can see that. - [John] We wanna make
sure that everything that we're building is
something that's coming in from an external source, from our clients. - [Karuna] We will get better faster because of the data we analyze, because of the volume of data we analyze, and then because of the solutions
we are going to provide. - [Sunil] We are not taking
months and basically, years to roll products, but we are actually churning out product features
in a matter of weeks, and
that to us is a
very key differentiator in terms of how fast we can
move into this marketplace. - [Alistair] We've invested
years in the technology and building the best in class
solution that's out there. I know that's an overused term, and we truly let that speak for itself. - [Sarah] There's this
validation that what we're doing is important to the industry as a whole. This is something that people wanna use for years to come and
they really wanna build their strategy around a
tool that can
provide them the benefits that Pype provides. - [Sunil] We keep on going. We want to innovate, and that
spirit is "how do we basically become the best in
class at whatever we do, and have a heavy focus on the data part of the information extraction
from plans and specifications?" When we actually showed
what the product can do, people's jaw dropped. They were like, "Hey,
these guys actually get "what we go through and are able "to give us a solution
that I can use today."
