ngwood legend Peter Daicos. Peter's footy career finished in 1993, so the boys Never got to see his brilliant goalkicking in person. But once Peter saw the boys love for footy, he had them working on their skills at home. Opened doors became goals, much to the chagrin of Mum. And balloons were used to work on soft touch. Like many teenage boys, Nick was into PlayStation and basketball. But the Daicos boys favourite pastime was imitating every player on their fantasy team Down at the local park.

Once Nick saw his brother get selected in the 2016 AFL draft, he became serious about a footy career of his own. Lockdowns hampered Nick's preparation for a professional career, but the Daicos name and his silky skills ensured he was a top target for all clubs. Nick knocked back serious interest from the Gold Coast to nominate for the Pies and continue the family tradition at Collingwood. Coming off a 17th place finish in 2021 Nick helped turn the Pies around in just his first season. He won the

Rising Star Award as Collingwood just missed out on a Grand Final berth by one lousy point. Expectation was sky high for Collingwood in 2023 and Nick delivered with one of the best second year seasons in AFL history. An Anzac Day medal performance announced Daicos On the big stage. Collingwood finished top of the ladder and the accolades poured in. Nick and Josh were the first brothers to be named all-Australian since 2007. Nick may have even won the Brownlow if it wasn't for a late season knee
