>>> WHO SAYS ACTIVISM IS A WASTE >>> WHO SAYS ACTIVISM IS A WASTE OF TIME. WHO SAYS BOYCOTT DOESN’T HAVE ANY IMPACT ON CORPORATE AMERICA. YOU PROBABLY HEARD OF THE LAW THAT REPUBLICANS PASSED IN GEORGIA. MAKES IT HARDER FOR BLACK PEOPLE TO VOTE AND THAT PRESIDENT JOE BIDEN CALLED IT JIM CROW IN THE 21st CENTURY ONE OF THE LARGEST COMPANIES IN GEORGIA PUT OUT A MEALY MOUTH STATEMENT WHERE THEY GLASSED OVER GLOSSED OVER THE RESTRICTIVE PARTS OF THE LAW AND THE LEGISLATION SIGNED THIS WEEK IMPROVED
CONSIDERABLY DURING THE LEGISLATION PROCESS. ANOTHER GEORGIA BASED COMPANY ISSUED A CAUTIOUS STATEMENT. THE BACKLASH TO THE NEW LAW IS SO SEVERE THAT DELTA’S CEO RELEASED A STATEMENT SAYING, I NEED TO MAKE IT CRYSTAL CLEAR THAT FINAL BILL IS UNACCEPTABLE AND DOES NOT MATCH DELTA’S VALUES AFTER HAVING TIME TO NOW FULLY UNDERSTAND ALL THAT IS IN THE DISCUSSION WITH LEADERS AND EMPLOYEES IN THE BLACK COMMUNITY. PROVISIONS WILL MAKE IT HARDER BLACK VOTERS TO ELECT THE REPRESENTATIVES. THAT IS WRONG
. THE ENTIRE RATIONAL AND THERE IS THE ENTIRE RATIONAL AND THERE IS WIDESPREAD VOTER FRAUD IN GEORGIA. THIS IS TO RESTRICT VOTING RIGHTS THAT IS THE PIVOT FROM THE LEGISLATION. >> LET ME BE CRYSTAL CLEAR ABOUT THIS LEGISLATION IS UNACCEPTABLE IT IS A STEP BACKWARDS IT DOES NOT PROMOTE PRINCIPLES WITH VERY STOOD FOR IN GEORGIA AROUND BROAD ACCESS AROUND VOTER CONVENIENCE, ABOUT INSURING ELECTION INTEGRITY AND THIS IS JUST A STEP BACKWARDS. >> THE CEO PIVOTS HAPPENED BECAUSE ACTIVISTS ARE SUCCESSF
ULLY PUTTING PRESSURE ON THE KORNGSS. THE KORNGSS. TODAY 72 BLACK KMUFZEXECUTIVES S THE BILL NBC NEWS WAS TOLD IT’S NOT ENOUGH TO ISSUE A GENERAL STATEMENT AND SAY WE BELIEVE IN FAIR ELECTIONS THE ISSUE IS WHAT YOU SAY IN GEORGIA, FLORIDA FLORIDA, INDIANA? YOU HAVE TO PUBLICLY OPPOSE IT AND BRING YOUR RESOURCES TO BEAR TO TRY TO EFFECT WAIT THE RIGHT OUTCOME. NOW SOME PEOPLE MAY SAY TOO LITTLE TOO LATE AND THAT IS TRUE THE BILL IS NOW LAW IN GEORGIA ON THE OTHER HAND, AS WE REPORTED ON THIS SHOW
YESTERDAY, THIS IS NOW A NATIONWIDE VOTER SUPPRESSION ATTEMPT BY REPUBLICANS. AND IF THE BACKLASH IN GEORGIA PREVENTS OTHER STATES FROM GOING THROUGH WITH IT, THAT’S A GOOD THING. SO IT’S IMPORTANT TO KEEP UP THE PRESSURE REMEMBER, DEMOCRACY IS AT STAKE. FREE AND FAIR ELECTIONS ARE ON THE LINE MANY OF US HAVE NOT SURPRISINGLY FOCUSED ON THAT ODIOUS PART OF THE BILL THAT BANS PAEMEOPLE FRO GIVING WATER TO THOSE STANDING IN LINE. IT’S NOT THE WORST THING IN THE BILL WORST THING IN THE BILL IS THA
T NOW THE REPUBLICAN CONTROL LEGISLATURE IN GEORGIA BASICALLY IS IN CHARGE OF ELECTIONS THERE. AND IT WILL DECIDE WHICH VOTES COUNT IN GEORGIA AND WHICH DON’T. LET’S BE VERY CLEAR. IF THIS LAW HAD BEEN IN EXISTENCE IN NOVEMBER OF 2020, DONALD TRUMP WOULD HAVE WON GEORGIA. AND RAFAEL WARDOCK COULD NOT NOW

Yes! I was shopping online and when I noticed that the company I was considering my purchase from was based in Georgia...I looked elsewhere. If you are a business owner/leader or work for a business that holds higher moral values-act and say something!

@caroldaniel9258

Actions speak louder... An announcement doesn't equal actual monies being withheld.

@newoldvideos989

Amazing how fast their attitudes change when you hit them in the WALLET !! Just shows how money hungry companies work...

@evadrediger893

We vote every day with every dollar ... make them count . Find out which companies actually support fair work, fair world

@Fadamaster

These oppressors in Georgia need to be held accountable. They are violating peoples rights , the very rights that has made our country great.

@jimkonen1913

It's too bad we have to "waste" so much time with activism but it's because of the overwhelming forces of evil that run full blast here 24/7

@Sketcher1121

RECALL EVERY POLITICIAN SIGNING THESE JIM CROW BILLS.

@davidanderson-22

I'll never understand why "smart" multi-millionaire CEO's with Public Relations departments at their disposal seem to NEVER get it right on the first go. Boycott them ANYWAY.

@stephenhatt742

I LIKE THIS DUDE ... KEEP UP THE GREAT REPORTING :) Zoe , Canadian

@RealStuntPanda

These are just words by the corporations: what are they DOING?!

@fernandoserrano9393

The boycotts will start against Georgia. Sport events, movie production and business conventions will go to other states

@DonCarter720

Boycotts stay on the table. They will say one thing in public but do differently in private.

@siaf2398

yup. because we about to SKIP YOUR AIRLINE, SKIP YOUR SOFT DRINK, AND SKIP YOUR BUSINESS!

@alexjordon2595

Why, why, why arent voting day/s a holiday.. America is the poster child for democracy? Really?

@thewolfinsheepsclothing5439

It's the right thing to do.. Thank you for speaking up!!!

@regisnyder

Thank you for mentioning Indiana. The spotlight needs to be put on Indiana politicians.

@ashroskell

Love this Mehdi Hasan guy! He reminds me of Joy Reid. He gets through so much, so fast! His laser focus and sense of irony is only matched by the way he gives such a lot of information in such a short time. ✌️👍

@ralfsanta2064

Boycott till it changes Georgia! Make they pockets hurt

@pacisregis9776

Coca-Cola guy remembered that the targeted groups constitute a huge chunk of those who buy his sugar loaded drinks. He wants to be clear and keep his cash flowing.
