Relax My Cat - Relaxing Music for Cats

5 years ago

it will help them wind down become calm and focus that aggression on something other than another living being hi guys welcome back to the channel its Claire and Rags and over here in UK it's still rather warm so again Ragsy and I are in the summer house trying to keep cool now this week we have a video for you and we are going to talk about your cat and aggression so if your cat has started showing some aggressive behaviour I have some tips and advice for you on why that might be the case now t
heir aggression may be because they are injured or in pain now cats are notoriously good at hiding when they're in pain and you need to know the warning signs to look out for but if your cat is in pain and is anticipating you touching them holding them or trying to administer any care to them they may become aggressive them being aggressive while they're injured or a pain is there way of keeping you and other animals away from them while they heal now this is a natural instinct but it can be pro
blematic if you need to give your cat some care or first aid the best thing you can do is try and get your cat to comfortably into a carrier and take them straight to the vet now another reason your cat might become aggressive is because you're giving them too much attention now I know that sounds really strange but it is true a lot of cats that don't mind being cuddled and carried around and petted some of them actually quite like it other cats just tolerate this and let you pet them occasiona
lly but some cats do have a very short fuse when it comes to attention and petting now if their tolerance is run out of you fussing them or grooming them or carrying them around a quick swipe a play bite there ears going flat or their tail twitching should be good enough for them to tell you hey leave me alone now I kind of want my own space don't forget respect your cat's boundaries now another reason your cat might be showing aggressive behaviour is if they're are frightened now a cat who is s
cared will almost certainly show aggressive behavior now this will be that they puff up their tails and they arch their back flatten their ears and swish their tails around but also their pupils will be dilated and they might hiss at you now this is a panic reaction so it's very important for you to stay away from your cat and not try to touch them or hold them even if you want to soothe them so so bad what you need to do is make sure that your cat can go somewhere safe and comfortable for them
to feel safe and happy now this might happen for a variety reasons there may be an unfamiliar animal at the house an unfamiliar cat or dog or even person or they may have been in a fight had a rather aggressive altercation with another cat or they might actually be injured now what you need to do is make sure that whatever it is that is frightening your cat is taken away or your cat is able to go somewhere safe and finally your cat may be aggressive towards you because they're frustrated now hav
e you ever heard your cat do that little clicky noise it's really really cute actually and it usually happens when they're sat in the window and watching birds or animals in the garden but this can turn into aggression and it can be directed towards you if it's something that makes the cat feel a lot more uncomfortable than just frustrated so if there is another cat that they see in their territory or a larger animal say a dog or even another person it is going to make them not only frustrated b
ut be aggressive too - cats are fiercely territorial and if they see someone or something in their territory and they can't get to it they are going to be very annoyed very frustrated and the aggression is probably going to be turned to someone who is nearest the cat, mainly you now the best thing to do with this is to have a good play session with your cat and something that is either on a rod or on the end of a string it's no where near your fingers thanks for watching guys I hope you found th
ese tips interesting and useful now if you've got any extra tips or a reasons your cat might be acting aggressive towards you please feel free to leave them in the comment section below I Ragsy and I do love hearing from you now talking about comments it's time to announce a winner this week with our RelaxMyCat t-shirt competition now let's see who is in running congratulations AnnBearForFreedom she is someone who we absolutely adore in this channel and it's someone who owns Bubba is Ragsy's lon

Thank you ... Now and again my cat hisses out the blue at me, has even ran at my before but stopped short of doing anymore. I now realize he's probably pissed off at the attention I give him, wants left alone to be a cat instead of following him around the garden with a camera etc. Makes sense x

@saltNpepper952

My cat would sometimes stare at my feet angrily and attack me which would give me lots of scratches and bites on my ankles. I have no idea why, but i know when he's about to do it so I do my best to distract him and lead him to another room to give him some space (before he latches himself on my ankle). He did this again today. Fortunately I got away but he still was able to bite my ankle so then again I have another batch of scratches. I have no idea why he does this :<

@chosenchad1155

I guess my cat is a spawn from hell nothing of these helped. Nothing can be done to redact this behavior from my cat just genetics I guess.

We rescued our cutie from under a flowerpot. She and her siblings were so scared. We have been a dog family all our lives. Our dogs passed away 3 years ago. Blu is a ray of sunshine, she is also a sailboat cat! Loves the sailing life and we love her so much. Ps all her siblings went to great homes also. Thank you again for this video, very informative. 🐈 🐱 🐾

@tenziie1600

My cat was just staring me dead in the eye and just attacked me in the face and bit and scratched my face.

@raritica8409

My cat is such a master manipulator. Ruby will gently bite my nostrils/nose because she knows it's a sensitive spot and will bite with enough power to hurt, yet enough finese to not break skin all to get me to pet her non stop. For hours. I love Ruby

@metamorphosis702

Hi. Thanks for your video! I got a kitten (Archie) several months ago. I slowly introduced him to my other cat (Luna) slowly and they seemed to be getting along Ok. He also seemed to really like my boyfriend (who does not live with us). Archie is now about 9mo and very big. He also became very aggressive toward Luna, kicking her out of her favorite spots and attacking her. He now also growls at my boyfriend and attacks him too. Most of the time Archie will settle down if my boyfriend plays with him though. As soon as play stops, he's angry again. I'm aware that Archie has a medical problem that causes eye irritation and he needs surgery for it. With the vets permission I was planning to put this off for several months when it's more affordable. Do you think this is likely causing the behavior problem, or might him growing up change his personality?

@stefihehe9667

I guess my cat is aggressive because i give him too much attention

@blackheart3887

Thank you so much for the information.... I might be a little careful for my cat.

@sennza

I got a new cat and I’m trying to adjust him to introduce him to him to my other cats the right way or whatever so I have him in my room. But anytime I get off my bed he hisses at me. And he walked around and hissed/growled at walls and stuff. Idk what to do

@GBR_17

🥺thank you so much for this informative video, I’ve been down in the dumps these couple of days since I found out that my cat is diagnosed with a uterus infection , “pyometra in cats” and her operation is tomorrow, your prayers everyone❤️🙏🙏

@louiselailey

Hi there, my mum's cat Bella is less than a year old, all of a sudden hates everyone other than my mum. My kids have visited regularly and she has always been sociable and playful until just recently. She bats at the hands of anyone who tries to stroke her and hisses. This change was literally over night. Can you think of anything we can try? My mum obviously doesn't want her being aggressive towards my children. Any help would be appreciated! Thanks xx

@trismegstusnephtys9482

Thanks for your explanation, my male cat attacked aggressively for the first time it never happened before i heard another cat outside the door. 😭😭😭

@jaylynhug1793

My cat is so sweet when it is just me and my boyfriend, but when guest come over she hisses at them. I will tell them not to mess with her but they she stalks them and keeps hissing. What do I do? I can’t continue with her hissing at friends. You would think she would try to get away and hide if she is uncomfortable.

@faithcaroline3895

I’ll just be petting my cat and he with no tail twitch, no warning bites and grabs onto my clothes and won’t let go . So

@Fearnot3053

My cat is very sweet, talkative, and love attention. How ever when ever she's on my lap and I have to put her down she gets very upset and starts biting me. Is there anything I can do to stop this? There are not other animals in the house and she has plenty of toys and gets tons of attention.

@zephy_io7830

My cat mangled my arm today, I think she has a really short span for petting, but also I think why is we have fruit flys in our house and she loves hunting. So she might also be letting her anger out on me. Next is that we have my mom's sis and kids staying over and she might be scared of them and my brother also scares her, sorry she might also be getting anxiety. My last reason is that she loves hunting, I'll see her pounce on my feet and hands 24/7, I might update to see if I get this fixed, or if you guys have subjections-

@ilamali

Thank you! this channel helps me alot :D!

@bongoloboy3800
