Why Singapore Attracts Foreign Real Estate Investors

Find out the reasons behind the influx of foreign capital into Singapore's real estate market and the government's response through the revised Additional Buyer's Stamp Duty (ABSD) policies. In this insightful video, The NOTG team discusses Singapore's rapid transformation from a fledgling nation to a first-world country, attracting global investors. Melvin and the team talks how Singapore's history of fast-paced industrialisation and development has made it an attractive destination for individual investors and corporate family offices. The revised ABSD serves as a measure to regulate this foreign interest and maintain a balanced property market.

Why do you think foreign investors are  pouring their capital into Singapore and that our government has to implement such a strong  ABSD? I think also through the course of history, when I mean as a nation, when we  first started our independence, Singapore has also been proven as one of the  rising stars within Southeast Asia itself. We were one of the nations to quickly go through  industrialisation and then grow very, very fast, developing into a first world kind of nation. So  I think a lot
of bystanders outside of Singapore, whether you are just a normal individual investor  or you're just a corporate family office, I think a lot of audiences out there have  also taken interest in our country and want to participate in the rise and  growth of our nation itself. [Outro]
