Guiyang, located in the once economically poor province of Guizhou is rapidly modernizing. In 2017, Guizhou recorded one of the highest economic growth rates in China. A thriving middle class has formed, along with a taste for craft beer. Trip Smith's operations have grown since opening in 2013, and now include their brewery and three different bar locations. A further thirst for craft beer is expected to continue across China. with a 30% expected growth rate every year until 2020.
