WILL RUSSIANS HELP AN AMERICAN IN A VILLAGE? 🇷🇺🇺🇸

Most of you saw how Russians helped me in Moscow, but would they also help an American in a remote Russian village?! I decided to find out and prove that Russians can help tourists even in the middle of nowhere. I ended up in a village called медведь or ‘bear’ and it really felt like a ghost town at first. All we could see was an abandoned military complex, babushka houses, and a small supermarket…I had no idea how I was going to get help, I couldn’t even find someone to ask! Do Russians even speak English here? How will they understand me? I also needed to somehow find a ride back…So did Russians help an American in a village or does that only happen in Moscow? Did Russians fit the stereotype of being cold and unfriendly? hey friends it's Sasha from Sasha meets Russia over 1 million of you watched my video where in Moscow I asked Russians for help in English to see if they would help an American we're here and many of you commented saying well that's because you're in Moscow of course people are going to help you you should try doing that in a Russian village so I took your advice I got on a bus from viik noat and decided to get out on a random stop this is that random stop this is the village called mid or bear
and it's actually in the middle of nowhere I have no idea where I am I've never been here before I only got out because I liked the name and I have to get back to Vin noat by this evening to catch my train to Moscow so I'm going to have to ask some Russians for help I'm going to have to see if I can even meet anyone and of course I'm going to have to speak English so let's try it out and see will Russians help an American in the middle of nowhere let's go but where do we go wait but I not here a
lone I took my trusted Mexican with me to the middle of nowhere in medit and we're going to be asking for help together I saw that is 15 minutes walking to the center of this small town the center of it's not even a town it's a village I read a legend about this place because apparently Once Upon a Time Alexander nki defeated a bear here and that's why they gave it this name that's interesting let's ask about that maybe well you know what I'm just hoping we don't run into any bears because I'm n

After I retired and moved to Vladivostok Russia in December 2019, I finally did the motorcycle trip across Russia that I have been dreaming of in the summer of 2021. During my trip I ended up in some small villages looking for a hotel to stay the night before continuing onward on my trip. Since I couldn't speak Russian but some very simple words, I was asking locals where hotels were. Hotels are a rarity in small villages. When the locals finally understood that I was from Texas, they insisted that I stayed at their dachas or apartments. Turned into a party and had an amazing and wonderful time and made new friends that I still stay in contact with.. When some of the ladies found out that I am single and don't have a girlfriend, I even received a couple of marriage proposals along the way😂.. It was a fantastic motorcycle trip and the friendly and welcoming nature of the Russian people made my bike trip even more enjoyable. I love living in Vladivostok and Far East Russia.

I used to work in public transit in Washington State. Many times I'd have foreigners come up to me and ask me questions about how to get somewhere. The Translation App on my iPhone got used a LOT and I was always able to help them find their way. I think one of the reasons everyone is willing to help those who are lost is that we've also been lost and needed help. When we can relate to what the other person is going through, it doesn't matter what language they speak, we can figure it out, even if we have to get a pen and paper and draw pictures. Cellphones help tremendously though because of the Translation apps. I've only had to drive a foreigner somewhere one time, and it was a German young woman. I drive a big pickup truck (a 1999 Ford F-250) and she had never driven before. Half way through the drive when we were away from the city, I pulled over and had her get behind the wheel and drive for a while. She was absolutely terrified, but had a smile ear to ear as well. It's one of my favorite memories. Thanks for taking the time to make this video. I hope you have an amazing day!
