World's Longest Dosa Created in Bengaluru by 75 Chefs | ISH News

On 15th March 2024, MTR Foods, celebrating its 100th anniversary, etched its name in the Guinness World Records by crafting the world's longest dosa, measuring an astounding 123.03 feet. Led by Chef Regi Mathews and supported by Lorman Kitchen Equipments, a team of 75 MTR chefs embarked on this monumental feat at the Bommasandra Factory in Bengaluru, Karnataka. Months of meticulous planning and hard work culminated in this historic achievement, which showcased the brand's commitment to excellence. Using MTR Foods' signature red rice dosa batter, the chefs meticulously cooked the record-breaking dosa on a specially crafted induction stove, the largest of its kind by Lorman. The journey to success was not without challenges, with the team overcoming 110 failed attempts before attaining perfection. Chef Mathews, expressing his elation on Instagram, hailed the accomplishment as a historic milestone for MTR and extended gratitude to all involved. Sunay Bhasin, CEO of MTR Foods, remarked that the monumental dosa symbolizes the brand's rich heritage and enduring legacy of culinary excellence. Everyone loves dosa, and so do I. Dosa is perfect for breakfast, lunch, snacks, or dinner. It is just delicious! Also, over 100 varieties of dosa exist. Like masala dosa, cheese dosa, rava dosa, chocolate dosa and many more. Even I love dosa! MTR company completed 100 years of business. This is what they did. They are known for their ready made dosa batter, masalas, etc which they have selling for so many years. MTR's head chef is Regi Mathews. He, along with a team of 75 MTR chefs, collaborated
on a project. The MTR team collaborated with a company named Lorman Kitchen Equipments. Lorman Kitchen Equipements create different types of kitchen equipments. On 15 March 2024, the head chef Regi Mathews received a world record. It was for their 100 year anniversary and very shocking. The longest dosa was cooked on a specially designed pan crafted by Lorman Kitchen Equipments. Dosa is commonly known to be cooked on a small tava. Yet, they managed to create the longest dosa. The long dosa was
cooked on a specially designed stove, not using gas, but through induction, which amazed me. They created a world record for making a dosa measuring 123.03 feet. I'm delighted by this victory. Wow! They were successful in making such a a long dosa! Amazing! It wasn't easy; they practiced a lot and were finally able to do it. The team of chefs had as many as 110 failed attempts before attempting this world record. Everyone is familiar with MTR's white dosa batter. However, to make this dosa they
used MTR's red rice dosa batter. The dosa was prepared at MTR 's Bommasandra Factory in Bengaluru, Karnataka MTR Foods’ CEO Sunay Bhasin said, "MTR has a steong heritage that has been passed down through the generations. Customers have always loved our products. Thank you all for your love and support. We are also happy that this record has been achieved in conjunction with our 100th anniversary. Now, I see that the longest dosa measuring 123.03 ft has set a new world record. Previously, MTR had
