until World Wrestling Entertainment returns to Wichita Falls wrestling fans in the area are getting ready Anna McBride stopped by the professional wrestling hall of fame in downtown Wichita Falls and he joins us now with more Johnny Mantell isn't sure if any of the WWE Superstars will make a stop at the Hall of Fame when they come to town next Sunday but whether any of them stop at the Hall of Fame or not that exposure is good for the Hall of Fame and the wrestling community there are a few thin
gs that Johnny man tells C's that draws so many people to professional wrestling I think that professional wrestling fans love action they love a competitive sport and there's winners and losers and you get invested in those that you like and you want to boo those that you want to boo and I think it's easier to do it in that kind of setting the Wrestling Hall of Fame promotes all wrestling not just WWE but when they do come to town there's a little more interest in the Hall of Fame absolutely ye
ah our fans come from around the world just at our 56th country through a couple days ago and and so we're excited about the future and what we're doing and we hope one day that WWE comes to town that all their superstars will come through this Hall of Fame and see it and meet and greet with the fans that would be our goal with the support from so many people locally and around the world Mantell is not just excited about the future of the Hall of Fame but professional wrestling in general collec
tors and historians around the world that continue to send their knowledge and their stuff here too for us to help preserve and to tell the history of professional wrestling from this point forward it's and it's not just what you see on TV today there's such a huge independent circuit and now with a group by the name of aew joining live war and and TNA and New Japan Pro Wrestling who's coming to Dallas in July for their first live event in the state of Texas and the Wrestling Hall of Fame adds a
nother attraction to Texoma to bring people to the area I believe we're given you know an opportunity for hotels there in rooms and restaurants to feed people and and bringing visitors Wichita Falls that would have never come and and now we're even bringing people back just did a radio interview with Ronnie Garvin and talked about wrestling in here here in Wichita Falls in the old 4-h arena back in the mid-seventies so it's exciting to hear those kind of stories and I'm sure he'll be full of tho
se when he gets here in May the Hall of Fame bringing more people to Wichita Falls all while preserving the history of professional wrestling Johnny Mandel says he will know in a couple of days whether any WWE Superstars will be stopping at the Hall of Fame next week and if that happens they will make an announcement on their website and social media sure a lot of fans are getting excited land and thank you very much
