[Music] Ford Field is usually the home of the NFL's  Detroit Lions in their incredible playoff run but tonight 500 truckloads of dirt have  filled the field and a capacity crowd is here to see the superstars of super motocross  morning boys you finally woke up yes sir good to see going be on off 3-1 I don't know cuz  that's a low one and this is pretty far no I hear you I hear you yeah but honestly in the  main event it's going to probably be two table over single it was so red yeah yeah that wa
s  a good line cuz you're skipping the big ones cuz the big ones shoot you so high but I feel  like on a fast La if you just freaking can rip this on off and then just laid it over on like  like put soaked up the three it'd be fast this looks about the same size as the farm yeah same  no that one does this one yeah it's not much bigger is it the same over there like the roll and  then the lip on the on yeah but look how low the off is yeah it would be easy after the roller then  that's where you
're going to stop your speed's going to come off yeah we can double that into  the sand or I bet you could the first few laps cuz look like there's no reason you can't we'll  never get fresh whoops today huh sad I know I'm in a now yeah but we'll still never get fresh whoops  today our heat races are after 450 look at that roller that's kind of yeah you can jump into the  L in there imag or you scrub it and you never lift on the outside double to the inside and then you  see freeze coming straig
ht over the burn freeze would double that to the outside yeah look if you  roll that you can jump like right there yeah jump into there jump in flick the bike and shoot down  and then wheel tap the entire [ __ ] section yeah that's the plan though just hit the whoops wide  open see where we end up you think you qu this out uh looks pretty laid down yeah I know was it  ring yesterday yeah but like dude I literally just like threed over that thing so easy cuz I guess  SE said he thinks he can thre
e off oh my God here we go here we go Joe JQ you think you can three  off of that that's a big jump from going off of that dude dude imagine hit in that middle right  there you're going nowhere but straight down you snowboarding J did I with those yeah I just got  off the mountain oh Rock C the mountain oh yeah I've been a mechanic for about I think 12 years  total went to school at MMI in Orlando and then from there just started working for an amateur guy  to 2 years amateur and then just kind
of the old school way just climbed up the ladder and had  a goal in mind of what I wanted to achieve and just kept going up the ladder for the most part  probably the biggest challenge with this setup is space there's not a lot of room for handlebars and  stuff like that with the nice trucks you got to take it easy between the trucks we're fortunate  to have a nice hauler that's got a slide out so yeah our setup for Detroit is basically our every  Sunday setup Sunday when we uh rebuild the bikes
we have it set up like this where we work inside  so our benches are back to back in there and he works out the front of the trailer or the middle  to the front of the trailer and I work out the back and the back door we know what we need we  know what each other needs to kind of stay out out of each other's way and uh if I need something  in the back I just yell to him he grabs it if he needs something in the front I grab it for him  little tight quarters inside working around it but it's bett
er than being out in the cold so and  the Stadium's got a roof so we're happy about that uh we don't want the r probably sitting out in  the cold because Tire temperature like everything takes a little bit to warm up and I'm not saying  the tires get hot by any means but they definitely come up to operating temperature it's uh better  to keep all the suspension the tires the engine all that at room temperature or normal temperature  so it doesn't take as long to get up to operating [Music] tempe
rature today it's uh it's actually feeling really good  um it's a little bit uh of a wetter wetter soil than we what we normally have here but um I feel  really good in the ruts right now and how it's going so first practice was nice the times are  really really tight and uh I also like Detroit cuz I got a lot of family up here my dad's  side of the family's up here so um always gives me some motivation to to go out there  and win so far the day is going really good uh all three guys are riding
well um tracks  coming around really good bike's been working good uh you know coup's right there with  at the top of the board Eli's right there and Justin's right where he should be so  I think uh it's a little bit different for us with the first practice and first heat  race but we'll go out there and race and then we'll be back to our normal schedule  for the main event so it should be a good [Music] thing [Music] yeah for the guys I think the expectation really  is to um be on the podium I
think um with with Dax I know he's capable of being on the podium he he  can run with any one of our guys on any day of the week um obviously there's going to be some nerves  tonight and if he can overcome that there's no doubt he can be on the podium um Hayden uh should  be on the podium he's got speed to be on the podium um but obviously it took a little bit of  time off um so we just got to get him up to speed we we've really got no expectations for Hayden a  top five would be awesome somewhe
re between Fifth and 10th would be fine so we're okay with with uh  wherever Hayden ends up we know he'll be up there um our goal for him is to obviously progress  every weekend and and be fighting for wins and uh I think we can win this Championship with  him um we just got to see how that progression goes for sure sure yeah not bad it's uh been a  little nerve-wracking to say the least a lot of emotions going on but just trying to dial in the  bike and Di on the track for uh racing tonight so
D I haven't raced a gate drop in two years  or whatever it's been and then I've never even raced super crosss super cross so um yeah a lot of  things that are going through my mind but I just know get a good start and uh do what I can do I  be good so yeah with Romano obviously um he's a work in progress obviously um he's taken some time  off he had an injury really early in training this year so he didn't get going until as of late  really so he'll also be a work in progress uh we expect him le
t's say top 10 that start there  and and continue progress every [Music] weekend and it is Cooper web last week's race  winner out of North Carolina the number two and the 32 out of Long Island New York  a rookie in this 450 class a little under the radar not a lot of talk about the  32 of Justin Cooper but he has [Music] speed and a lot of attention on this man the  18-year-old YouTube sensation hay [Music] [Music] Degan the 59 there of Dax benck this  will be his professional Supercross [Music
] debut and there is another rookie  in the 511 Nick [Music] [Music] Rano [Music] I don't know what to say killed it man I told him  I told him the haters said he wasn't going to do it I said he's going to do it dude I'm pumped man  uh a lot of hard work to offseason you know day in and day out we've been grinding and I know  I could do it but to come out here and really do it it's a different things so the pressure was  on but I got it done and I'm yeah I mean obviously uh you know heat races w
ent well Dax was second  Hayden was second um Romano qualified so we were pumped like going into the main everything was  good and then uh yeah the main obviously didn't start out so good uh I don't remember what color  bike but someone went from going left into the turn to completely taking out half the field  I think maybe eight guys came out of the first turn which is gnarly and ended up with two guys  on the ground Hayden and and romano and um yeah unfortunately wasn't good but um the good t
hing of  it all was Dax got a pretty good start and uh he fought his way all the way up to Third and ended  up on the podium in his first race as a rookie so we're super proud of Dax that was really good  um excited for him he's been putting in a lot of work and you know we see it all week uh he could  run with any guy on the team and uh we knew he had it in him and that uh be minimum he could be  a Podium guy and so we're excited to see that hard work you know come to fruition and he ended up o
n  the podium so we're happy with that um Hayden uh as you can tell his handlebar is a little twisted  up and uh but you know like a Savage I guess uh he jokes about having the dog in him but he he's  got the dog in him and uh yeah he just rode around and I think he ended up 15 or 16 and uh but  we salvaged a couple points which is fine this is the first round of the east coast and we'll  continue to fight and and uh hopefully we'll have red plates on this bike at some point so we'll  keep fight
ing um Romano's good um he just like I said I mean it's tough to start in dead last and  and get too far up so um you know just happy with how it all ended obviously with with Degan could  have been a lot better but pumped on Dax uh it's great for him he deserves it [Music] ah today  actually went really well for me I rode great all day practice went really well I was actually  pulling the second one and then uh heat race got a great hole shot was leading everything was great  and just tucked th
e front and had a crash and so didn't have the GU best gate pick for the main and  just got a really bad start you know I think they said I was like 15th coming around the first turn  and uh the track was really hard to pass tonight and I knew that I wasn't going to cut it so I  charged hard got back to forth I felt like I rode really solid but I felt like I left the podium  maybe a went out there so I was a little bummed but we'll have another good week this week and  come back Arizona swinging
and uh hopefully get another win yeah you know all day was good and the  night was started off good fortunately with the crashing heat race for Cooper it gave us a not the  gate pick we quite wanted and uh had a bad start for Cooper in the main but he rode really well  back to forth Eli had a great start and just got to figure out what happened uh with him and we'll  bounce back for next week welcome to Glendale the biggest stadium for the season in a packed house  Eli to wins the Triple Crown
in Glendale [Music]

So stoked for Dax ❤

@Heckman_Productions

I love this series and the interviews with the mechanics and managers are great. I would really love to see some live reactions and comments from them during the races, think that would add a lot. Either way keep it up, I wish we had more series like this one 💯

As a tradesman that loves motocross, let's give it up to the mechanics of this sport. They are the caddy's of the motocross daddy's.
