well last weekend we told you about the hunter education class held at the Traver Nature Center in Sulfur news 12's Drew revon tells us how these students are applying skills they've learned Oklahoma game warden Brian mesan says 13 young students will soon be on their way to becoming safe and responsible Hunters after taking their Hunter education test we try to break it down and uh uh start from beginning level and try to teach the course to students that have no knowledge or no previous experi
ence students Piper and Paisley say they've been studying all week for their hunter's ed test are you guys nervous about the test at all I know they say they've learned valuable skills that they can use when they go hunting with their father how to hold a gun how cross fence how to stay how get in a tree how to stay safe out in the woods and not get hurt in addition to learning more about the animals that you can hunt Maman says they're prioritizing safety today we covered tree safety uh it also
covers some archery some muzzle loading and then we uh as well have a chapter over survival he says they're aiming to cut down the risk of hunting accidents one class at a time the more we can teach these and give them practical exercises our hope is to reduce the risk of them potentially having a hunting relating accident while in the field all 13 students that attended this year's Hunter education class passed with flying colors in suur jury Von news12
