Smart stop technology automatically
reduces engine power when the driver simultaneously applies both the
accelerator and the brake pedal. To engage the driver must press the
accelerator pedal first before pressing the brake pedal. The throttle opening
must be greater than one third, vehicle speed must be above 5 miles per hour and
the brakes must be applied firmly once activated you can cancel smart stop
technology at any time by releasing the brake pedal.
