CUPRA Born is the first fully
electric model from the brand, representing an excellent blend of
electrification and performance. CUPRA takes this impulse even further with
the CUPRA Born VZ - the latest addition to the CUPRA lineup - a new, more powerful version
aimed to inspire the world from Barcelona. The acronym "VZ" comes from the Spanish word
"veloz," which translates to "fast" in English, signifying the fluid way of describing
the latest vehicle from the brand. The CUPRA Born VZ boa
sts a power output
of 240 kW and a torque of 545 Nm, delivered to the road through enhanced
suspension geometry, sporty steering setup, and improved braking feel. These elements come
together to provide ultimate performance within the CUPRA Born range, making it one of
the most dynamic cars in its segment. The CUPRA Born VZ elevates the advanced vehicle
propulsion technology of the CUPRA Born to a higher level: the fully electric system now
delivers 240 kW of power - a 40% increase compare
d to the e-Boost version. Torque also
increases to an impressive 545 Nm - 75% more than any other Born variant. This means
the CUPRA Born VZ can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds - one second
faster than the e-Boost version. The maximum speed also increases and is now limited to 200
km/h - 40 km/h more than the e-Boost version. The CUPRA Born VZ also introduces
chassis enhancements to ensure its dynamics match these impressive statistics. New DCC Sport suspension, responsive
steering
behavior, improved braking pedal feel, as well as a robust rear brake, combine
to create higher dynamic performance. At the rear of the CUPRA Born VZ, new shock
absorbers and springs, combined with updated front shock absorber valve settings and spring
design, as well as updated stabilizers, create the DCC Sport suspension, which provides
better control over the vehicle's body. The steering package of the CUPRA Born VZ is enhanced with new hardware and
software that make it sport
ier. Dynamic braking technology upgrades give
the VZ a firmer, more solid braking feel, increasing its responsiveness and reducing
softness compared to standard CUPRA Born variants. However, performance is not achieved at
the expense of efficiency, and the CUPRA Born VZ can travel up to 570 km on a single
charge. The battery pack has been upgraded and now offers 79 kWh of net capacity.
And the technology remains practical; it can be charged at home using an AC 11 kW
system or at a DC 170 k
W fast charging point, meaning fast charging from 10 to 80%
will take no more than 30 minutes. The exterior design of the CUPRA Born
VZ is enriched with two new color options. Exclusive to the CUPRA Born
VZ is the special Dark Forest color, which also includes the Midnight Black option. Aesthetics meet performance with the
introduction of two new 20-inch aluminum wheels, featuring different technologies such as
3D copper inserts or forged technology, to emphasize its sporty character. Wider

high-performance tires help transmit the power and torque of the CUPRA Born VZ to the
road through its rear wheels. The car is also equipped with wider 8-inch wheels instead
of the current 7.5-inch CUPRA Born version. The finishing touch for the latest iteration of
the 100% electric CUPRA vehicle is the VZ logo in dark chrome placed on the vehicle's trunk, as well
as the CUPRA inscription in dark chrome color. Inside, the CUPRA Born VZ continues its emotional
design. Standard bucket seat
s are the exclusive choice found only in this CUPRA Born version,
but they are shared with the CUPRA Formentor VZ5 and CUPRA Leon VZ Cup, offering a lower
seating position to provide a more ergonomic, sporty driving position. In the case of the
CUPRA Born VZ, the bucket seats are made of SEAQUAL® yarn recycled fabric, as well
as DINAMICA with 73% recycled polyester. In the rear of the vehicle, thanks to improvements
in chassis configuration, the CUPRA Born VZ can provide both the comfort of
five seats and the
vitality of a panoramic roof in one package. The CUPRA Born VZ also features regenerative
paddle shifters on the steering wheel, allowing you to choose between
three different levels of energy recovery. When the accelerator pedal is
released, the motor acts as a generator, feeding energy back to the battery,
reducing consumption and brake wear. For greater control over
regenerative characteristics, drivers can use the paddles to select three
different levels while oper
ating in "D" mode to tailor their driving style. Simply use the
paddles to choose how much braking you need. The CUPRA Born VZ advances digitalization.
It features a new and larger floating infotainment system with a 12.9-inch
diagonal, combining the benefits of touch inputs with a new illuminated touch
strip for climate and volume control inside. The CUPRA Born VZ integrates a new optional
high-fidelity sound system with 10 speakers, developed in collaboration with premium
brand Sennheise
r. The powerful 425-watt system immerses the driver and passengers in
a unique sound experience, while also adding a metallic grille finish to the interior. It's an
audio technology that includes Sennheiser's AMBEO Concerto software, capable of distilling
fundamental elements of music, including various instruments and room information,
and distributing them throughout the car. The interior is illuminated by Smart Light
technology as standard. Don't be mistaken, this is not ambient lighting
, but a new
quality in human/machine communication. Horizontal full LED strips wrap around the width
of the dashboard to enhance specific features, providing warnings and guidance to the driver
and other passengers. Information includes battery status, onboard driver assistance systems
(Front Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), and C2X hazard warning); multimedia functions
(voice control, phone calls, navigation system), intelligent parking assistance, as well as locking
and unlocking,
and entering and exiting. These visual cues add another level of awareness,
making the CUPRA Born VZ safer and smarter. The brand's dedication to safety and

new advanced driver assistance systems, integrated to assist and support
the driver in every situation. Travel Assist 2.6 combines Adaptive Cruise
Control (ACC) with lane-keeping assistant (keeps the car centered in the lane) to enhance
the driving experience of t
he CUPRA Born VZ. The new version also includes improvements
when driving on poorly marked roads, thanks to information received from the cloud. Parking is now incredibly easy; the
new Remote Park Assist system allows the driver to complete parking
maneuvers using their smartphone, while the Parking Assist training allows the
vehicle to learn how to park in regular spots, storing features and trajectories on the map.
And for everyday parking, regardless of location, the Top View Camera give
s drivers a 360-degree
view of the vehicle and its surroundings. The safety and comfort technology
package also includes Side Assist to protect against vehicles in
blind spots or approaching quickly; Front Light Assist automatically controls
headlight functions; Dynamic Road Sign Display interprets road signs; and Exit Warning
alerts of obstacles when exiting after stopping. The CUPRA Born VZ will be introduced
to the market in the third quarter of 2024. Prices and specifications
