Having played and beaten nearly EVERY final fantasy game in existence, I still loved this trilogy. The Final Fantasy series is not dead! Don't let the haters fool you :D
The main melody of this composition at 4:47 is just beautiful.
You know, this song was specifically composed to last 13 MINUTES. It's almost like an Easter Egg when you think about it. :P
if you go on the Final Fantasy Wiki, the page for this song says that it oncorperated songs from the first two games. These tracks are Ragnarok, Saber's Edge, Nascent Requiem, Fighting Fate, Caius's Theme, and The Ark. Ragnarok is at 5:50, though just with lyrics. Caius's theme is at 3:30. again, lyrics. and the brash tone. Nascent Requiem is at 10:30, leading into Fighting Fate, which is at 11:20. Saber's Edge is likely at 2:04. listen for the pianos. and the Ark is likely at 6:08. the soft vocals
remember kids, cloud may have defeated sephiroth, bartz may have defeated exdeath and stopped the flow of the void, squall may have stopped the time witch, zidane might have beaten some sense into his genocidal bro, tidus may have oneupped his old man, the four warriors of light may have defeated chaos, firion may have stopped the usurper of heaven and hell, vaan may have looked pretty, onion knight may have stemmed the cloud of darkness, cecil may have saved his world from the creator and his own brother, and gilgamesh may have tested all of these heroes to prove their worth, but lightning? Lightning bitchslapped god. fuck all those other accomplishments.
So many people hating on Bhunivelze, I can't tell if they're actually dissapointed with the boss or if they're just following the XIII hate trend.

This theme is fucking wild. I love it.
People always say who is the strongest between Sephiroth and Lightning...There is no competition. Lightning has the power of a fucking GOD. She destroyed a GOD and in turn created a universe. Jeez she is even in our world now as a Model! Im surprised people dont worship her. Sephiroth has been killed, TWICE, by a blonde Emo who couldnt even pass a military exam (The SOLDIER program). Lightning, literally rules as Final Fantasy's toughest character in my opinion.

Ahhh I always love to come back to this. There are only three final boss themes that are fit for a battle against The Almighty, this is one of them.
If they made this battle with XV and VII remake combat styles this would be so epic
I wish it was possible to have Bhunivelze and Jublieus in the same game. They would be like Zeus and Hera.
I like how they added parts of different boss battle themes from the series into this.
I love how this absolute masterpiece mixes both a really strong feeling of light (choirs, upbeat notes, crystal instruments, echo) and a really strong feeling of darkness (organ, percussions, trumpets, low notes and heavy bass). I've never heard such a powerful theme in any creative media before, even though I'm almost 40 now, too bad this song was drowned into the lame presentation (bad camera angle, lame lighting, too easy of a fight) of the final part of what could have been an absolute pinnacle of bosss fight.
I'm not very religious, but if god was real, this would be his theme. So fucking awesome! :)
this is the most epic track ever. I haven't even played this game.
From 4:48 till the end of the Fighting Fate theme is by FAR the best portion of this song.
One of the best tales out there ever told on a videogame.
