Emergency. And you didn't call last night when this occurred? I was tied up. Tell me what happened. I wake up. Bright light blinding us. Taser goes off. And I see they're wearing wet suits. Did they swim in? So what happens next? Then asked Denise to tie my hands behind my back. Did she discover something? She found text messages. Was she mad? Oh, 'cause you're cheating? There's blood in your house. You know where she is? -I didn't do anything. -Yeah, you did. Oh my God, it's her. I just got a m
essage. She's walking over to my house. I've never heard of a case where the kidnappers drop their victim at the front door of their house. We thought she's this innocent victim. She looks more like a suspect. Police now wondering is Huskins a real-life Gone Girl? Something else happened here. Maybe this is about revenge. We find zip ties, toy guns, and a blow-up doll. Can this get any stranger? Who's really behind all of this? Then I get an email confessing to the crime. Did we all get this wro
ng?

That female officer saved this whole case. She's the real one🙌🏽 and wtf fbi did nothing but blame them??!?!

@dynamicpisces

Watched this last night! Incredible documentary!! When Det Mustard said “most women who have been sexually assaulted want to relive it for the thrill of it” my jaw dropped on the floor!! What a horrendous thing to not only believe but to declare to a potential victims partner!! WTF! All the officers/agents involved need to be disciplined retroactively!

@MultiSunshinexxx

I can't even describe how angry i was on their behalf while watching this. Aggravated by the fact that none of the police (who enforced the trauma) paid for their swift and cruel judgements. I could feel their pain as they were recalling their trauma. So happy that their truth has been broadcasted on a stage like this - thanks Netflix!

@annameyer3098

What shocked me the most about this documentary was the fact that the kidnapper was more empathetic towards the victim than the police. He was desperately trying to help her prove that she was telling the truth 😲

@peanutbuttah_

The cop interrogating Aaron made my blood boil it’s crazy so many of them manipulate innocent people like that into believing they are not innocent how awful

@Mila-Nova

Detective Mustard is an absolute disgrace. Cannot believe he was awarded detective of the year or whatever in 2015. Smh. Vallejo PD and FBI make me wonder how dumb you gotta be to be in law enforcement. Their behavior towards SA victims and Denise was absolutely deplorable

@lynnpatenaude5548

The police along with the media should be ashamed of themselves! Except for Officer Misty, she’s the one who should be awarded the medal of the year. I’m so happy that Denise and Aaron are doing well and have a happy ending. What a strong couple!!!

@damienlewis1605

Misty Carausu is a true police detective and what law enforcement should be like! She deserves a commendation and wide recognition of her work!

I cried at the end. So pleased he stayed with the right woman and has two beautiful children now

@user-su7zn2fr9r

I just finished watching it. This is hands down the wildest documentary I have ever watched. I honestly felt disgusted by it at the end, because it says so much about how our quick-to-judge now take it to the media for clout culture has permeated everything in this country from law enforcement, to journalist, our wiring of how we process and judge information.

@nylathemysticalcat9518

I am honestly ashamed that when i watched this trailer, i believed it was gonna be a Gone Girl case and now, I can't even describe my shock, anger and rage at finding out the truth of this case. It breaks my heart that Denise and Aaron were treated this way by the people who were supposed to protect and serve. Bless the Officer who actually cracked the case and worked tirelessly until she was able to present the evidence for Denise and Aaron. Im glad i watched this story.

@ikedougenhouser3585

Documentaries are one of the few things Netflix still does good anymore.

@sashalee4598

Gosh those detectives and FBI agents are the ones that should be called hoax. It’s embarrassing. I cried towards the end of this docuseries. I am so happy for Denise & Aaron finally they are happy.

@Bandanalovingemo

This story is so surreal! I am glad it’s being covered so everyone can see how much it was fumbled

@elizabethsepanak8964

To Denise and Aaron, I can’t even begin to describe how angry I was for you both, but also how happy I was that this came out so you got to be heard in detail and the amount of shame those “officers” should feel at belittling your situation and victimizing you further. You both deserve a wonderful beautiful life as do your girls. Bless you both and your families.

@mapyvizcarrondo9454

The female officer saved this whole case, she is the true héroe!!! Bravo !!!!!

@LynnS-gd8wq

What if this kidnapper had killed Denise? Then Aaron would have been charged and no one else would have ever been investigated and he would have went down for a murder he didn't commit. I'm afraid this kind of thing happens too often, not this particular thing, but too many times the prosecution decides they already know what happened and don't look any further or try to find out the actual truth.

@lenoreleitch5297

So much about this disgusted me….the police “investigation” and their treatment of both Denise & Aaron, the so-called “journalists” whose coverage perpetrated the whole hoax thing….but most of all I was made nauseous by the people on social media and their vitriol against Denise without knowing any of the actual facts. The fact that none of the detectives or FBI involved were sanctioned for their blatant mishandling of this case is beyond disgusting. They should all be ashamed.

@SelectaWaynazz

‘NONE OF THE POLICE INVOLVED IN THIS CASE WHERE DISCIPLINED’ That’s all you need to hear to confirm that the police aren’t there to protect you. NEVER TALK TO THEM WITHOUT A LAWYER, EVEN IF YOU’RE INNOCENT. Thank me later 🤷🏻‍♂️

@SwiperNoSwiping458

I listened to a podcast on this. So glad they made a documentary about it to highlight the utter incompetence and malice of the investigators.
