Welcome to our video on how to administer assistance listings on SAM.gov. In this video, we'll show you how to create and modify assistance listings, add or modify regional assistance locations, and edit assistance listings number assignments as an assistance listings administrator. First, log in to SAM.gov. Once you are logged in, you will be directed to your Workspace. In your Workspace, you will see a lot of information. There is an icon and a link for your profile on the right. To the left o
f that, under Workspace, you'll see the main area for your Workspace. In this area, you'll see what we call widgets. If you are an assistance listings administrator you'll have a widget called assistance listings, which will display your published, draft, draft review, pending, rejected, and archived assistance listings. Within this widget there is a shortcut to create an assistance listing. You can download an assistance listing template that can be used for your reference, and there is a short
cut to view your regional assistance locations. Select the title of the widget to go to its details page. On this page, you'll see first of all, your published assistance listings. These will display the associated assistance listings number, department or independent agency, last updated date, and date published. You can use the filters on the left to narrow down the assistance listings that you see. For example, you can view all of your draft listings by checking "Draft" in the status filter.
If you need to modify a listing, select the actions menu, which is located in the upper right corner of every assistance listing that is in an active state. That will give you the following options: archive, title change, number change, or agency change. If you need to change a title, for example, select title change and enter your new title and the reason for the change, then select submit. To create a new assistance listing,áselect the add new listing buttonáunder the assistance listings headi
ng. Complete all of the required fields, including title, federal agency, objectives, and so on. Your progress will automatically save after selecting the next button at the bottom of each page. If you are timed out, you will only lose the input that's on the current page. If you need additional time to collect information and resume later, you can select the "Done" button to save your progress. Once you have completed all required sections, you will have the option to submit to your assistance
administrator, if you are an assistance user, or to the Office of Management and Budget for review, if you are an assistance administrator. On the left side of the assistance listings workspace, you can select the tabs to display your regional assistance locations and assistance listings number assignments. To add or modify a regional assistance location, first select the regional assistance listings tab on the left side of the workspace. You can search for a specific location using the search b
ox on the left side of the page or add a location using "Add Location" button under the regional assistance locations heading. Select the action menu for the location and select edit or delete. If you would like to edit a location, update the relevant sections and select submit. If you would like to delete a location, simply select delete from the dropdown and then select ok. To edit CFDA number assignments, first, select the CFDA number assignment tab on the left side of the workspace. You can
search for a specific CFDA number, using the search box on the left side of the page, or by selecting "Edit Number Assignment" for any CFDA number. You have two types to choose from: automatic or manual. If you choose automatic, the system will use the next available number. The number is generated at the time it is submitted to OMB. You can also choose the range for your number assignments. For example, if you do not want your CFDA numbers to exceed 100, then set the range for 01 to 100. If man
ual is selected, you can still set a range and assign a number within that range when entering an assistance listing. Once you have edited the number assignment, select submit.
