ASUS TUF F17 (2022), unboxing, SSD upgrade, teste și tutorial instalare Windows 11 (2023)

RO: Salutare prieteni. Today I will present to you, the ASUS TUF F17 (FX707ZC4) gaming laptop with the following configuration: Intel Core (12th Gen) i5-12500H Alder Lake, SSD 512GB PCIe4.0 NVMe M.2 2280, 16GB DDR4 3200MHz RAM, nVidia GeForce RTX 3050 128bit with 4GB video memory, Display 17inch LED backlight Anti-Glare FullHD 1920 x 1080 144Hz, RGB illuminated keyboard. The laptop was bought on November 10, 2023 on Black Friday, at a reduced price of 736 euros from 859 euros before the promotion. With another 88 euros, I added a second SSD, Crucial P3 Plus 2TB PCIe4.0 x4 M.2 2280. If you work with a large volume of data (videos, games, etc.), the 512GB that comes initially will prove to be in short time insufficient. It plays almost any current game with settings on medium or high, but where it really shines is in video rendering. With its 12 physical cores and a total of 16 execution threads, it completes any task, even in 4K resolution. The laptop is intended to replace the not very old laptop that I own, ASUS TUF FX505DT (AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, SSD 512GB PCIe3.0 NVMe M.2, RAM 16GB DDR4 2400MHz, nVidia GeForce RTX 1650 with 4GB VRAM, Display 15inch FullHD 1920 x 1080, RGB illuminated keyboard). This latter laptop is almost identical in performance to the one I presented in the past (link in description). Enjoy! Hello friends! Today I will introduce you, the ASUS TUF F17 (FX707ZC4) gaming laptop! 1. Unpacking the laptop Colorful stickers for personalizing your laptop! It was taken on November 10, 2023 on Black Friday, at a reduced price of 736 euros, from 859 euros before the promotion. With an additional 88 euros, I added a second Crucial P3 Plus 2TB PCIe4.0 x4 M.2 2280 SSD. But you will see that later in this video! If you work with a large volume of data (videos, games, etc.), the 512GB it initially
comes with will soon prove insufficient. Some brochures and manuals! The power cable! 200W power supply! 2. Specifications Aluminum front cover, the rest of the chassis is plastic! On the right, 1 x USB 3.2 Type A Gen 1 and a thermal vent! At the back, two thermal vents for the two fans on the GPU and the CPU! On the left, the power jack and the rest of the connectors... Display 17inch LED backlight Anti-Glare FullHD 1920 x 1080 144Hz Adaptive SYNC, RGB illuminated keyboard! MUX Switch, WiFi 6,
Hi-Res AUDIO blah... blah... blah... :) 3. Connecting the cables and turning on the laptop 4. The BIOS To enter in BIOS, press the F2 key. 5. Touchpad that supports multi-touch gestures 6. BIOS preparation and Windows SO installation from a bootable USB stick After the restart the stick was recognized in the BIOS. I have on it several operating systems including Windows 11! After another restart, immediately press the F10 key, to boot from the stick. The stick is made with the Ventoy program. Af
ter selecting the desired operating system, the installation will start immediately. 7. IRST driver installation (Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driver) If at this point the setup does not find the SSD disk, (as in my case), don't get impatient. You just need a driver. On another PC, download it from the manufacturer's website (or from Intel's website) and copy it to the same stick on which you also have the version of Windows. After another restart, repeat the steps and load the driver from the
same stick with Windows (in my case the Ventoy USB stick)! 8. Create the partitions and completing the installation 9. How to skip creating a Microsoft account Shift+F10 then type "taskmgr" Then look for the "Network Connection Flow" process, right click and "End Task". If that doesn't work, Shift+F10 again then type "oobe\bypassnro". After the restart, like a miracle the option "I don't have internet" appears. Click on the option then "Next" and that's it! And voila, a freshly installed Window
s 11. Take my word for it, the process itself took less than 4 minutes! I'm not a fan of Windows 11, but manufacturers, no longer develops drivers for older S.O. (eg Windows 10) so the end user has no other options! 10. SSD speed - boot time Wow, under 7 seconds! 11. Testing the internal SSD in CrystalDiskMark 8.0.0 The SSD is one from Intel with the capacity of 512GB PCIe4.0 NVMe M.2 2280. Maybe not the fastest in the world but still achieved very good results. 12. Mounting the second SSD For t
he second SSD I chose the Crucial P3 Plus 2TB PCIe4.0 x4 M.2 2280. The SSD already comes with a screw for mounting but for installing the SSD, we need to turn off the power of the laptop. To remove the cover we will have to unscrew all 12 screws with which it is fixed! Under that black foil are the two memory modules with a total of 16GB DDR4 3200MHz. And below that is the internal SSD from Intel, the 512GB one, with which this laptop comes equipped. Although it comes with a screw for fixing, we
don't need it, because there is already one on the laptop motherboard. The operation of mounting the second SSD is extremely easy. Ready. I forgot to mention that the battery of this laptop is one of 56Wh. Let's put everything back together. 13. Initializing the second SSD The second SSD is ready for use. 14. Testing the second SSD in CrystalDiskMark The temperature of the two SSDs immediately after the test. 15. CPU and GPU in detail CPU-Z shows us that we have an Intel Core i5 12500H, code Al
der Lake on 10 nm with Max. TDP of 45W which in Turbo mode it can go up to a maximum of 95W. This CPU has a total of 12 cores of which 4 Performance-cores and 8 Efficient-cores, total 16 threads and 18MBytes Level 3 cache memory. Nominal frequency 2.5GHz, Turbo Boost frequency of 3.3GHz for Efficient-core and 4.5GHz for Performance-core. An integrated graphics card included in the CPU, Intel Iris Xe Graphics with a maximum dynamic frequency of 1.3GHz. And a dedicated one, more powerful, nVidia G
eForce RTX 3050 (Laptop GPU) with 4GB DDR6 video memory. 16. ASUS Armoury Crate The dedicated software Armory Crate where we can monitor or modify various parameters (temperatures, frequencies, power profiles, RGB keyboard lighting modes, etc.). 17. Cinebench R15 Benchmark Although less used (there are newer versions like R20, R23, etc.), I still chose to do this test to have a reference against the older systems tested. 2121 points in Multi Core and 247 points in Single Core. 18. Cinebench R20
Benchmark 5091 points in Multi Core and 654 points in Single Core. 19. Cinebench R23 Benchmark 13255 points in Multi Core and 1706 points in Single Core. 20. Performance test in 3DMARK TimeSpy 1440p To achieve maximum GPU performance, I changed the profile of GPU Mode from Standard to Ultimate, in which case a restart is necessary. I gave x4 speed so that you don't have to wait too long! :) Speed x1 (real time). The noise made by the cooling system can be heard in the background, which on the t
est period rose to over 43dBA. 5391 GPU score and 10911 CPU score with a total of 5833 points, which is not bad at all. This laptop is a small one beast whether we are talking about video rendering, gaming or any other task. Many tests could also be done in games, but this aspect, I personally don't care about. But as a conclusion, this laptop is worth every penny even now at the end of 2023! 21. BONUS: RTX (Ray Tracing) DEMO A real-time Ray Tracing (RTX) demo, using the Unreal rendering engine!
That's all for today folks. See you in the next video!

Am urmarit clipul tau. Interesant laptop. Pare destul de puternic pentru ce ti-ai propus si asta la un pret decent. Sa-l stapanesti sanatos.UCkszU2WH9gy1mb0dV-11UJg/HvgfY93GEYmqvwLUuYDwAQUCkszU2WH9gy1mb0dV-11UJg/ePgfY-K2Kp6Mr8oP1oqAwAcUCkszU2WH9gy1mb0dV-11UJg/Rf90XtDbG8GQ8gTz_prwAg
